It's been a month since everything happened, and you are feeling happy with what you've accomplished so far. You're good friends with Hanayo and Rin. Honoka, Kotori and Umi all seem to like you as well, not to mention the third years, even they seem to have warmed up to you a lot. The only problem though, is that Maki seemed to be hanging out with Nico a lot recently, that seemed to drop your mood.

"I wonder what they're doing...?" You mumble to yourself curious of what they could possibly be doing.

At school, you frown as Nico was waiting outside the room again for Maki. You've always known the two had some kind of bond, but you never thought it would bother you this much. Deciding to get to the bottom of everything, you sneak after the two when Maki and Nico leave.

"Ne, Maki-" Nico says nudging the red-haired girl.

"What do you want?" Maki replies indifferently.

"Do you like (Y/N)?" If Maki had been drinking at that moment, it would be safe to say that she definitly would've choked on it.

"W-what are you asking all of a sudden!" She says twirling her hair huffing. "She's just... a friend."

"Alright then, if you say so." Nico says shrugging. Hearing the word friend however, made your heart ache. Why your heart was aching? You have no idea, maybe you can go ask Nozomi for help.

After the meeting with Nico, Maki was left completely baffled, why did her heart skip a beat when she was thinking of (Y/N) like that?

I'm not in love with her... am I?

Just that thought scared Maki for she had never been in love with someone.

No, definitly not.

But that also dissapointed Maki, it was as if her heart was telling her something else that was completely different, either way, she was going to get to the bottom of this. Maki looks at the cieling fan while ruffling her own hair.

"Argh! Too confusing!"

"So...what did you call me for?" You could hear Nozomi's worried voice on the other line, you usually wouldn't call her this late unless it was more of an emergency. "(Y/N)?" She asks again making you realize you haven't replied to her.

"Huh...? Oh yea-" You say remembering you were calling Nozomi.

"What did you call me for??"

"Oh, I was just wondering what was wrong with me-" Before you coyld finish the sentence however Nozomi cuts you off with a-

"Everything."

"Nozomi!!" You whine. "Stop teasing me!"

"Ahaha, alright, I'm just joking, so what were you saying?" She asks going back to being more serious.

"Well, I overheard Nico asking Maki if she liked me... and when Maki said I was just a 'friend', I kinda felt uncomfortable... do you know why?"

Nozomi chuckled on the other line. "Well, it's called love, (Y/N), and it's already my sleepy time, so see ya!" Before you could get a chance to say anything else, she hangs up.

She's my idol. I look up to her, there's definitly no way!

No way I'm in love with her...right?

Yea, no, definitly not.

You thought as you touched your hand to your wildly beating chest.
