It was the next day and I was walking with Evie and Mal as Carlos and Jay in front of us. Everyone waved at Jay admiring him and wished that he will ask them to be his date for Cotillion. But my ship is Jay and Lonnie. One hundred percent. And I hope they do go to out someday or at least go to Cotillion together.

Carlos and Jay stopped so me and the girls stopped as well.

"Um, Jay. If you were gonna ask someone, what's the best way to go?" Carlos ask Jay but I spaced out staring at nothing. I snapped back to reality and looked up

And when I did I saw Jane coming so I warned Mal, "Mal, my sister is coming. I'm just gonna give you a warning" I said as I walk pass her and chill, sitting down in the stairs

"Mal" I heard Jane said when she passed by me.

"Hey, Janice" I heard a voice behind me "Hey" I said looking back seeing Carlos. I patted the spot next to me for he can sit. He sit down and started talking, "I was wondering... Uh..."

"Just spit it out" I said laughing as I moved some pieces of my hair behind my ear. "If you like the... Carrot cake last night?" He said but more like a question

"I had the apple pie." I said smiling "Oh. Cool. Um, uh.." I smiled at him "Bye" I said getting up hearing a soft bye from him and met with the girls plus Jane and Lonnie again.

"I have an opening for fitting at 3:00. Who wants it?" I heard Evie say to Jane and Lonnie "Me!" Lonnie replied fast "Sorry" She said to Jane "Perfect" Evie said "I'll take you later. Okay"

I walked off when Mal and Jane started  I just walked to class. Which was Math which I despise so much. But at least I get to skip it because some of us cheerleaders get to watch the boys do some Swords and Shields practice. Lucky me I was one of them. So I walked in of the class and told the teacher and showed her the pass to it. She accepted it and told me I can leave since there not gonna really do anything.

I made it to the amphitheater and seen the boys in two lines. At least I'm not that late to watch them practice.

As I kept watching someone else came and attacked Jay. I already knew it was Lonnie because she told me she was going to do this today. Jane and some other girls went to pay attention as well.

When it was over we all applause when Lonnie showed herself "Not bad" Jay complimented her "you showed put me in the team" She suggested

"Hey... What?" Chad said "ugh this asshat again" I said to myself "Carlos" I called out to him. He looked up at me by now I was ready to jump down the balcony. I literally climbing. "Catch me" I said jumping down. I was scared? Yes but I trusted Carlos and good thing I did because he did catch me

"Thanks" I said messing up his hair. Then I went over there where the other three was "No, no, no. We'll be the laughing stock of the league. And what's gonna happy next? We'll have girls playing tourney. Come on, guys" Chad said as I got there "So?" Jay and I said at the same time "So?" Chad mocked "So have you not read the rulebook?" Chad said taking out his rulebook "So you listen to rules now? Since when?" I ask him. He ignores me of course. Everyone ignored me by now "Section 2, Paragraph 3, 11-4. 'A team will be comprised of a captain and eight men'. Mmm? You should read the rulebook"

"Okay, yeah, but you're down a man. You know, since Ben had to leave to do all that kind stuff" Lonnie said trying to reason Jay and Chad "Exactly. We're down a man"

"Jay"

"I'm sorry. Coach trusts me. I'm not gonna stay captain if I just throw out the rulebook" Jay shrugged "You know you're an asshole that's why Audrey used you and left you." I said sitting down "if my mother thought that way, she would've lost the war" Lonnie said. Chad scoffs and said "Okay." Lonnie left as Chad kept showing the rule book. I went to attack him but Carlos held me down "Let me go" I growled "No"

I used my strength and got out of his grasp and went towards Chad. I said something to him that I couldn't even explain, "So watch it? Okay?" I said glaring at him as he shook his rapidly as I went back and sat down. "All right, guys. Practice is over"

Everyone left I went back upstairs to grab my stuff. As I was about to leave Carlos stopped me, "Janice. Janice, hey" he said getting up on one of those blocks

"What's up?" I ask. Dude bark and climb up himself in the blocks too, "Not much. You?"

"Way too much" I said sighing "Jane was gonna go with the blue and gold banner for Cotillion but now they can't find the right shade of blue. Thats what she told me and dragging me into this mess" I said laughing, Carlos joined with me then we quiet down

"Oh, yeah. No, that's a bummer" He said "Um, speaking of Cotillion-"

"I know, right? It's all anybody is talking about. Cotillion 24/7" I complained even tho I shouldn't "It's like they've never been to one before. Well except you guys I think maybe. I never know" I ranted "Uh.. No we don't" He said "At least your lucky. I always end up serving lunch with my mom and Jane anyways. It's not like gonna be difficult this year because no one will ask me. Unless..." I said thinking

"Maybe we should just-"

"Skip the whole thing? I really, really wish I could." I scoff  "But anyways I need to leave. Jane needs me with the thing. Again" I said "It was nice talking to you" I smiled at him and walked away leaving him there alone

It was later of the day and we all got a free period so that means I can finally get away from Jane and chill with my phone. As I was in my phone. I felt sleepy so then I fell asleep. Don't worry I didn't hit myself with my phone in the phone I was sideways.

I got woken up by Jane closing the door "Sorry" She said "It's fine. I needed to get up eventually." I said sitting up while scratching my head. Jane went to the bathroom as I got up to my vanity and fixed my hair as it was a mess. I retouched my mascara and added some chapstick. "Jane!" I screamed at her "Yea!"

"I'm gonna go" I said getting my backpack "Okay bye" "Bye sis"
