Author’s POV

Kyungsoo had just arrived from school when he threw his backpack on his bed before looking for his brother.

It was Friday and today he was determined to convince his brother to start his training.

As soon as he entered the office everyone in the room went silent.

“Just do what I told you and we will finished the rest tomorrow” his older brother said as he dismissed the four other men in the office.

“Hyung, you didn't have to stop the meeting” Kyungsoo said as soon as they were left alone.

“You're more important than that meeting” he responded with a smile.

“No need to sugar coat the fact that you didn't want me to hear what you were discussing. I am a part of all this. Don't you think its time I got involved in the family business” Kyungsoo said giving his brother a serious look.

“Little brother you're only 16 and…”

“Baekhyun is the same age but he has been trained since birth and been doing work for the family since he was 13” Kyungsoo was determined to get his way this time.

“Well thats because Baekhyun is an only child and the heir to the Byun family” he defended.

“So what? I need to be heir if I want to get involved?” Kyungsoo was getting frustrated with his brother.

It was the same thing every single time he asked.

“Thats not what I'm saying...look Soo. Baekhyun doesn't have a choice because he is all they have. But you have a choice. If I could have it any other way I would have never wanted to be involved in the mafia business but I'm the first born and it's my duty to carry this family forward after dad. You don't have to live like us. You have the freedom to live a normal life and be whatever you want to be. That's what I want for you” his brother explained.

“Mom was shot right before my eyes when i was 6 years old. I watched dad beat a man to death when I was 9 years old. I have been kidnapped 13 times so far in my life and have almost died so many times I lost count. I have bodyguards following me around everywhere I go. I can't walk the streets without worrying about being watched and so much more. I don't and can't live a normal life even if I tried. What I want is to be a part of the family business” Kyungsoo lashed out.

“It's not happening” his brother said with a serious look.

“If you wont help me then I will... I will ask dad”

“Good luck with that” his brother said with a sarcastic laugh.

Kyungsoo was crazy mad and just walked out of the office in a rush.

He went straight to his room before he screamed in frustration.

“Young master are you alright?” The butler asked.

“Fxck off” Kyungsoo screamed before banging the door shut.

His brother was being impossible. He just wanted to learn what he learnt.

He just wanted to be part of the family business and do something that woukd make his father proud of him.

Maybe then he would get noticed by the man and get some fatherly attention.

He was an honor student and did everything perfectly. He had received so many awards in academics and sports but none of it seemed to interest his father.

This was the only way he could get close to his father the same way his brother was close to the man.

He needed to take a breath. He needed to blow off some steam.

Kyungsoo pulled out his phone before making a call.

‘Hey baby’ Baekhyun responded in a happy mood.

‘Please come and pick me up’

‘Are you alright?’

‘No. I just had a fight with my brother’

‘I will be there in 10. Meet me out front’ Baekhyun said before cutting the call.

Baekhyun was Kyungsoo best friend and they recently became lovers.

Kyungsoo knew he could always count on the other male.

Ten minutes later he was entering Baekhyuns car.

Unlike Kyungsoo, Baekhyun had a lot of freedom.

He could go and do whatever he wanted and didnt need to be surrounded by bodyguards 24/7.

“Hey baby” Baekhyun said as he leaned forward and kissed the other male.

“Hey” Kyungsoo responded before deepening the kiss.

“I missed you” Kyungsoo said as they settled back and Baekhyun drove off.

“I missed you too. I'm sorry I have been crazy busy. I only got back this morning” Baekhyun said as they arrived at Baekhyun's secret apartment.

It's where they went when they wanted to be alone.

Kyungsoo immediately started cooking when they got into the apartment.

He loved cooking. He even considered being a chef once before realising he wanted to join the family business.

“I don't know what to do now. He refuses to listen to me” Kyungsoo ranted on.

After eating they settled on the couch and put on a movie even though none of them were watching it.

“If you want I could train you. Just so you know basic stuff” Baekhyun offered.

“Thanks babe. I know I can always count on you” Kyungsoo said before kissing him.

The silently watched the tv for a while as both of them were deep in thought.

“Baek...Do you love me?” Kyungsoo asked.

“Yes baby of course. I love you so much” Baekhyun said as he wrapped his arms around the other male.

“How much do you love me?” Kyungsoo gazed into his eyes.

“Baby I would do anything for you. Even if it's crazy or impossible I would do it. That's how much” Baekhyun said.

“Would you kill for me?”

“Anything for you”

“Thats all I needed to hear” Kyungsoo said before leaning forward and kissing Baekhyun.

Soon they were making out and Kyungsoo had settled on Baekhyuns lap.

“I love you Soo. You're my everything and I can't imagine being without you. Let's always be together. Forever always” Baekhyun whispered as he kissed a trail from his lovers jaw down his neck.

“Forever always” Kyungsoo moaned as they initiated another heated makeout session.

And that was a sneak peek into Baek's past and how things used to be between him and Soo.
