I apologize for any mistakes

The next day in the same class Louis and Harry glare at each other, not paying any attention to their professor.

Their eyes never broke eye contact, cold and hatred was painted in the blue and green orbs staring back at one another.

Ms. Williams was about to start the lesson for the day, but the door clicks open and a random guy walks in. He looks down at a piece of paper and then makes eye contact with Ms. Williams.

"Are you Ms. Williams?" He asked, flashing a smile. Ms. Williams nods her head and smiles back.

"That's me! You must be the new student right?" She questions, making her way over to him.

"Yeah, Max." He reaches his hand out to her and shakes it softly.

"Max, you can take a seat anywhere." Ms.Williams said politely. Max scans the room, and decides to sit in the back; he's always been that one shy kid in middle school and high school, never really was the teacher's pet.

He made is way over to the back, smiling at people on his way over there. He finally found an empty seat, sighing softly as he did so.

"Ladies and gentlemen, we will be reading Dark Water, any guesses on what it might be about?" The teacher spoke, raising up the book to show the class.

When no one answers, she speaks up. "Hint, it's fictional." Ms. Williams says.

"Uh, fairies?"

"Lockless monster?"

"Mermaids?"

"Yes! That is correct," Ms. Williams says. The class turns their heads and whispers about the topic of the book, finding it too 'kid' like.

"What is the difference between a siren and a mermaid, Ms. Williams?" Louis was the first to break eye contact from Harry, intrigued about the book instead.

The class stopped whispering, curious about the answer to Louis' question. "Well Louis, a siren is part human, part bird, a hybrid that attracts sailors to their death as food." Ms. Williams explains.

"And a mermaid?" Harry looked away from Louis.

"A mermaid is part human, part fish hybrid that sings and attracts sailors overboard to their death as food." She answers.

The class shuffled around, a couple of the students making sounds as if they were interested in what Ms. Williams was explaining.

"Dark Water is about a girl named Vanessa who wants to live a normal life, but she is a siren. One day her mother paid a visit and told Vanessa a horrible truth about something. This truth gives Vanessa a choice; to either give in her siren powers or vanish." She says.

"And there are murders going on, and Vanessa has to confront who is she to save the people she loves most." Max finished explaining the plot of the book.

"That is correct Max! Come pick up the book in the front after class and make sure you read it. I will give everyone two weeks to finish reading this book. After you're done reading it, I want you to write an essay on it. I guess I will release you guys early, please read it you guys. Have a good day." Ms. Williams waves at the class dismissing them.

Louis blinks at Max whose a few seat away from him, and becomes curious about the new student. Without thinking, Louis strolls over to the new student smiling.

"Hey, you're Max?" Louis taps on his shoulder.

Max turns around, slinging his backpack over his shoulder. "Yeah that's me. And you are?" He held his hand out.

"Louis, nice to meet you." Louis shook his hand.

"Nice to meet you too. Where are you headed right now?" Max asks, beginning to walk out of the classroom behind other students.

"To my dorm. I'm done for today, morning classes you know," Louis chuckles.

"Ah lucky you. I just arrived here and I am so lost, very stressful." Max laughs, looking down at his schedule for his next class.

"I could always help you find your classes, unless you don't need my help, it's just an offer." The blue eyed teen becomes nervous.

Max licks his plump lips and chuckles at Louis' nervous behavior. Max continues to walk, searching for his class. "You can say no, and I'll just leave you to it but-"

"Are you going to give me your number or am I going to have to ask Siri to find it for me?" Max flashes a smile.

"I-," Louis pulls his phone out. "Go ahead."

"Thanks," Max laughs and stops at a wooden door. He punches his phone number in Louis' phone, handing him the device back after he was done using it.

"I'll see you later," Max walks in the classroom, turning around with a small smirk. "Louis."

The blue eyed teen gushes over Max, and walks out of the school with a big smile plastered on his face. He just gave out his number to a cute stranger, Louis felt scandalous.

"Hey Louis!"

Louis turns around at the familiar voice, raising both of his eyebrows. He smiles at Zayn, who runs towards him panting heavily. "Hey Zaynie, how are ya?" Louis greeted.

"Meet me by my dorm room in five, we need to talk." Zayn said in a rush then he ran away, looking like a crazy man.

Louis frowns, confused. Louis did as he was told, he slowly walked to Zayn's dorm room. It nearly took him ten minutes, but it was better being a little late than being too early, according to Louis.

He knocks on Zayn's door, frowning when Harry opened it. He forgot that the two of them shared a dorm room. "Zayn where are you?" Louis pushes the door open, not caring if he had hurt Harry with the knob of the door.

He flops down on the bed and sighs, waiting to hear Zayn's voice so they can talk. "Hi to you too Lou."

"Shut up Harry." Louis grumbled.

"What's going on?" Zayn finally appeared.

"Zayn what's up? You need to talk to me," Louis says hurriedly. Harry scoffs and throws himself on his own bed with a dramatic sigh.

"I had sex." Zayn confessed.

"So what? We all have sex." Harry chuckled.

"You're so immature," Louis rolls his eyes at Harry's childish behavior. "Who did you have sex with?"

"I-It was with Liam." Zayn confesses.

Harry and Louis gasp at the same time.
