White here :) well I am utterly shock 😅😅 this book reached 7k awhile ago and I just realized it 😂😂

So I know haven't been updating in awhile, so yeah I'm trying to get back into writing more chapters. Been busy and all, but I miss wattpad 😢😢

Ash's POV

It has been 4 hours since we met the little girl, she told us her name is Lara and that's about it.

We've checked everywhere for her mom, but that woman was no where to be found and I'm beginning to think she left the poor kid. Serena has been attached to Lara until we find her mom, but I could feel Lara thought if her as her mother even though it's not possible....yet..

It was around 6 pm and Lara started crying again.

"MOMMY!!! WAAAAAHH!!!" Everyone looked at us with glares thinking that we were harassing the child, but C'mon!! Why do you already think that?!

Serena kneeled down and hugged her "We'll find her in no time okay? It's okay, I'm here Lara...pretend I'm your mommy for awhile" she whispered softly its her ear, Lara stopped crying after that and Serena rubbed her tears away. I look back at the crowd who were smiling at Serena while glaring at me...why me?!

Serena turns her gaze at me with a "We should call a manager" look which I don't even know how I got that right. We went to the officers and told them the situation.

"Oh this child? The woman left an hour ago, she said "if and girl named Lara asks you where I am tell her I don't want her anymore" and then she left" I instantly felt sad for Lara, Lara started crying again and ran off. I look back at Serena who was gritting her teeth in anger and it looks like she was fighting back tears from coming out.

"Why....." she mumbled "Serena..." A tear finally escaped from her eye and streamed down on her cheek, she looked like she wanted to kill the mother for leaving her child, but why?

"Why would a mother leave her own child?!" She exclaimed and ran off to where Lara might went to, I began chasing her but she was already out of my sight.

Why would she feel angry? I know it's making angry as well, but not as angry as Serena is now. Serena...

I heard people yelling at each other and one of them was Serena, I quickly ran to where the voices were coming from revealing a woman and Serena along with Lara who was hiding behind Serena for protection.

"Why?! Why would you leave her?!" Serena yelled as tears were running down her face "Because I don't want her as a daughter anymore!" The woman retorted back "You're a monster.." she hissed at her "EXCUSE ME?!" "WHY WOULD YOU LEAVE YOU OWN DAUGHTER BEHIND?!" I hid behind a wall and watch the scene unfold.

"BECAUSE SHE DOESN'T BELONG WITH A WOMAN LIKE ME-"

"SHE CLEARLY LOVES YOU TO BITS AND THIS IS HOW YOU TREAT THE LITTLE GIRL!!!??"

I have never seen her so angry before, I mean sure I've seen her beating Gary up but this is a whole new level of her anger. Is this another side of her?

"I DON'T DESERVE HER OKAY!!!" Then woman exclaimed, I look back at Lara who was now crying from seeing the two fight and I was getting angry even more from seeing the little girl cry. I could somewhat feel Serena's anger rising up, she was about to blow up and snap.

I was about to step in before she would do something she might regret but..

"She deserves a mother that knows how to be one!! I don't deserve her!!" Then woman sobbed and fell on her knees, Serena looked blankly at her.

Her face showed no emotion, nothing but a cold blank lifeless stare. She looked a different person from the sight, is this really Serena?

Was that sweet, kind, lovable, and courageous girl just a side of her?

"At least she has a mother...WHILE I DIDN'T EVEN HAVE ONE SINCE THE START!!" Silence overtook the scene, Serena walked closer to the mother and slapped her across the face.

"Wake up, she clearly needs you right now. You deserve her, because you're the one who have given birth to her. Just shut your mouth and take back your daughter" she then turn to face Lara and a smile quickly curve on her lips, She walked up to the girl and pats her head.

She then leaned forward to her ear to whisper something I could no hear nor understand, she then kissed Lara's forhead and walked away from the two and headed towards the wall I was hiding at, she knew I was there huh?

"Hey Ash" I turn around and saw Serena smiling weakly at me "Can we go home?"
