Ash's POV

The day went on pretty quick until it was the last subject of the day, and I hate that subject with a passion.

Sports....

Don't get me wrong, I love to play sports and all. Gary and the rest of my bullies are the reason why I don't like this subject.

Once we entered the gym, Gary looked at me with the scariest and most stupidest smirk that I ever seen. Serena saw Gary's expression and glared at him causing him to walk away with a hint of fear for the girl, I have a feeling Gary is scared of her.

The teacher arrived and instructed us to assemble a team, and as always the team leader will be Gary the Oak tree and Misty the human carrot.

I wonder who will win? The team that has the most powerful player a.k.a Paul or us?

After the team was called, Mr. Burch announced that today's game will be Dodgeball.  My worst nightmare shall come true...

The game started and pretty much half of my team is already out..wooh..

"Hey Ashy boy! Taste this!!" I turned to my side and saw Gary about to throw a ball at me until Serena deflected it by hitting his ball, I took that as a chance and threw it at him which succeeded.

I looked at Serena who just winked at me and continued to play the game, she's actually trying to help me even if we were on the opposite team?! 

Every ball that was trying to hit me kept on being hit by another ball that Serena secretly threw. Then it was just Paul, Misty, Serena, and I left.

Misty charged at Paul and Paul did the same. In the end the two hit each other and were out, I gulped and looked at Serena who had a ball in her hand. She smirked at me and I closed me eyes, but nothing happened. I slowly open my right eye to peek what she was trying to do, but she let go of the ball and kick it beside me with a smile on her face.

"Hey! That's cheating!!" Gary exclaimed, Serena ignored him and waited for me to hit her. I picked up the ball and softly threw it at her, she didn't even move or anything she just let it hit her and my team was victorious.

Everyone on my team swarmed at me and patted me on the back, Serena walked up to me and extended her hand.

I gave her a confused look while she smiled at me with sincerity and sportsmanship. "That was quite fun! Let's do it some other time!" She exclaimed, I chuckled and we handshake which means it was a deal.

The teacher congratulated Serena for showing such sportsmanship even if she was practically cheating, but it was still nice to know someone finally has my back for now on.

The day finally finished and we were back at my house, I was on the couch watching TV while Serena was helping my mom do the laundry.

The memory of Serena giving me the opportunity to win a game kept on playing in my mind, she was smiling at me without a care and ignored her team dissing her.

"Ash?"

She really is a godsend

"Hello?"

"Are you there?"

I wish I could jus-

"ASHY!!"

My thoughts were cut off and I was back to reality, I blinked for a few times to adjust my eyesight to see Serena looking at me with a pout.

Our heads were really close and I could feel her breath escaping her mouth and touching my lips.

"Y-Yes Serena?" I stammered, I tried to not look at her but she was just there! How can you expect me to not look at her?! "I told you dinner was ready" she said with a slight annoyed tone and her face could be clearly seen she was irritated.

"Oh, sorry" I gulped and we both went to the kitchen to eat. After that Serena was the first one to finish and quickly went up to her room, I wonder why?

I looked at my mom and she also looked like she was hiding something, I decided to investigate and went to the guest room and saw Serena looking up at the stars.

I quietly closed the door and walked up to her, she didn't noticed that I was here as she just stared out in the distance.

"Home..." she mumbled "Where is my home?" Her voice was quiet and it was like she was hurt, I tapped her shoulder and she turned to look at me with tears running down her face.

My expression turned from curiosity to concern from the sight of her crying. "Serena what's wrong?" I asked, she didn't reply and just hugged me tightly.

"Home..." she mumbled again "I know..."

Home? She wants to know? What does she mean?

"Serena i-"
