Chapter 4
A new school day started in chaos; it had been released to the press that All Might was teaching at UA. Hitoshi was pushing Nami through the crowd by the shoulders.
"Hey, you two!" the reporter shouted running after them. "Tell us what changes you think All Might will bring to this school?"
"We are in a hurry for the library," Hitoshi answered as he pushed Nami faster through the crowd. Soon enough everyone was in their classes as the media tried to figure out how to get passed UA's borders.
"Decent work on yesterday's combat training you guys," Aizawa said. "I saw the video feeds and went over each of your team's results. Bakugo." Nami glanced at him; she had a pretty good concept of who she sat around. Behind Jiro, and in front of Sero. On sides of her were Izuku and Kirishima. Diganonlly, Bakugo, Mineta, Koda, and Kaminari. " You're talented. So don't sulk like a child about your loss, okay?"
Bakugo grunted looking away. "Yeah, whatever."
"And Midoriyda," Aizawa began; the boy flinched. "I see the only way you won the match was by messing up your arm again. Work harder. And don't give me the excuse that you don't have control over your Quirk. That line's already getting old." Nami glanced at him. "You can't keep breaking your body while training here. But your Quirk will be really useful if you can get a handle on it." Izuku gasped with a smile; looking back at the teacher. "So show a little urgency, huh?"
"Right!" Midoriya chimed.
"Let's get down to business," Aizawa continued with the rest of the class. "Our first task will decide your future."
'Is there another Quirk test?' everyone asked.
"You all need to pick a class representative," Aizawa advised.
'Oh good,' Everyone smiled in relief. 'Just normal school stuff!'
"Pick me, guys!" Kirishima urged. "I wanna be class rep!"
"I'll take it!" Kaminari offered as he raised his hand
Jiro raised her hand as well. "Yeah, you're gonna need me!"
"Someone with style would be best," Aoyama said as he raised his hand.
"I can apply my flower shop knowledge to lead!" Nami offered as she stood out of her seat a little, without knowing it a slight glow around her body. Sometimes if Nami gets a little too enthusiastic or feels other emotions a bit too much her Quirk leaks out making her body glow; everyone around her or behind her became alert of it.
"I'm, like, totally the right pick!" Ashido smiled as she waved her arms. Everyone, but Shoto seemed to be trying to sell themselves to the rest of the class.
"SILENCE EVERYONE, PLEASE!" Iida shouted; everyone looked at him. "The class representative's duty is to lead others. That's not just something just anyone can do. You must first have the trust of every student in the classroom. Therefore, the most logical way to fill this position is democratically. We will hold an election to choose our leader!"
"It's pretty obvious you want us to vote for you," everyone said.
"Is this really the best idea?" Kaminari asked.
Tsu put a finger to her face. "We've only known each other for a few days, how do we know who we should trust?"
"Besides, everyone'll just vote for themselves," Kirishima added.
"Most people will," Iida acknowledged. "But that means whoever does receive multiple votes must truly be the most suitable person for the job."
"You are putting way too much trust in people you don't really know," Nami said.
"It's the best way, right sir?" Iida asked as he looked at the teacher.
Aizawa had finished zipping himself up in the sleeping bag. "Do what you want, just decide before my nap's over. Takeda, calm it down a little." He then fell over for his nap; Nami looked to see herself glowing; she then looked at Midoriya who was taking notes.
"Thank you for your trust!" Iida said as Nami's body went back to normal. They all took a few minutes for the vote; Nami voted for Asui; but the results had Midoriya as class rep and Yaoyorou as vice president.
"How did I get three votes?!" Izuku demanded in surprise.
Bakugo stood up angrily. "Okay, you idiots who voted for him?"
Sero looked at him. "What, did you honestly think anyone was gonna vote for you?"
Bakugo looked at him. "What did you just say? Don't tell me you voted for that little turd!"
"You leading the class would be a disaster," Nami said as she looked at him.
"Say that again, Star Girl!" Bakugo roared as he looked at her.
Nami stood up with the same energy. "It'd be a disaster, Gremlin!" An argument struck between the two; Sero kept adding to the conversation as well; Midoriya let out a whimper as Nami was again engulfed in her glow; this time it took the shape of a single candle flame.
Iida was trembling. "Zero votes. I feared this might happen, but I can't argue with the system I chose!"
"So, you voted for someone else, huh?" Yaoyorozu asked.
"But you knew it was best to vote for yourself, huh?" Sato asked. "What were you trying to prove here, Iida?"
"Takeda!" Sero said tapping her back. "You are going to engulf the whole room!" Nami looked back to see that Sero had been engulfed in the stellar energy. "Not that I mind; but Aizawa might."
Minutes later; everyone was back in their seats as Yaoyorozu and Midoriya stood at the front.
"All right, the class rep is Midoriya, and our deputy is Yaoyorozu," Aizawa confirmed.
"Really?" Midoriya trembled. "Uh, it's not a mistake?"
Yaoyorozu sighed. "How'd this happen?"
"This might not be so bad," Tsu admitted.
"Yeah, I can get behind Midoriya I guess," Kirishima agreed.
"Yaoyorozu was totally on top of it when it came to our training results!" Kaminari said.
"They'd both make great study partners," Nami added.

It was now time for lunch; Nami was now at a table with Sero, Kaminari, Bakugo, Ashido, and Kirishima.
"So who'd you guys vote for?" Kirishima asked. "I voted for myself."
"We all did dumbass," Bakugo grunted.
"I didn't," Nami said. "I voted for Tsu."
Sero looked at her. "Why'd you vote for her?"
"She seems the most level-headed out of all of us," Nami answered.
Bakugo stood up. "I'm level-headed!"
"Not in the slightest," Everyone at the table disagreed; he growled angrily.
Ashido made a happy sound. "This rice is like totes, yummy!" As they chatted a bit more; Nami looked over to Shoto was sitting alone eating Soba; she then glanced around the room to find Hitoshi seated with a group of general studies students.
"So, what do you guys like to do outside school?" Kaminari asked. "I know a pretty good skate park,"
"You like skateboarding as well?" Nami asked as she leaned closer to him.
"Hell yeah!" Kaminari smiled as he gave a thumbs up. "We should skate together sometime!" The two fist-bumped.
"Oh, totes let me join!" Ashido pleaded. "I'll bring my roller skates!"
Sero put his hands together. "I'll need someone to teach me first.
'That's surprising,' Nami thought to herself. 'He has such a laid-back attitude.' Everyone became alert when alarms started to go off.
"Warning Level 3 Security breach!" Everyone looked at the speakers. "All students please evacuate the building in an orderly fashion."
"What the hell is a Level Three security breach?" Kaminari asked as other students for up.
"It means someone's managed to get past the school's barriers! We should get going!" a student answered as they joined the other students. Everyone seemed quick to react, but it created a total mob.
"Shoto!" Nami shouted as she tried to go against the mob to get to her friend. "Hitoshi!" She couldn't see past the crowd very well. "Shoto! Hitoshi!"
"Stop shovin' so hard!"
"Wait, I'm getting trampled!"
"I said, stop pushing!"
"Nami!" it was Hitoshi's voice. "Nami!"
"Hitoshi!" Nami shouted back; she jumped a little, but she didn't catch a glimpse of him. "Hitoshi!" She jumped again; no luck.
"Everyone!" Kirishima shouted from further ahead. "Stop freaking out!"
"The current's too strong!" Kaminari cried as he and Kirishima got swept away. Nami jumped again; the person behind her shoved against her; Nami closed her eyes as she crashed into someone; they both fell to the ground.
"You're dead," a familiar voice said; Nami pushed herself a bit; getting on her knees, she looked to see...Bakugo. People continued to shove passed them.
"Bakugo," Nami said.
"Huh?" He asked as he propped himself up with his elbow; his head tilted forward; his eyes landed on; they were centimeters from each other's face. "Too close damn close, Star Girl!"
"Not like I want to be this close to you, gremlin!" Nami defended herself; she went to get up; someone's foot shoved down into her back; using her as a stepping stool; making her slam her head into Bakugo's. "Ow."
"WATCH YOUR HEAD, DUMBASS!" Bakugo roared as he got up with Nami over his shoulder.
"Why do you have such a hard head?" Nami asked as she held hers.
"It's called being hard-headed!" Bakugo answered as someone went over all their heads; Nami glanced back to see Iida spinning in circles; he crashed onto the exit sign; looking like the walking man on street signs.
"Iida!" Nami gasped; as Bakugo used on hand to shove someone out of his way.
"Listen up, everything is okay!" Iida shouted grabbing everyone's attention; his legs were shaking. "It's just the media outside, there's absolutely nothing to worry about. Everything's fine! We're UA students. We need to remain calm and prove that we're the best of the best!" All the students gasped; someone looked at each other.
"Look, the police are here!"
"Thank goodness!"
"Put me down, Gremlin," Nami requested as tapped Bakugo's back many times.
"Not till I bury you, Star Girl," Bakugo answered as he continued to push her way through the students.
Minutes they were all back in class; the rep and deputy stood at the front of the class.
"It's time class rep, let's begin," Yaoyorozu instructed.
Midoriya was trembling as always. "Um. Okay, so we need to figure out who the class officers will be." He looked down a bit. "But first, there's something that I wanna say. I've thought a lot about this. And I think that Tenya Iida should be our class rep! He was able to capture everyone's attention and get us in line. So I believe he should be the one leading our class from now on!"
"Yeah, you know what?" Kirishima said. "If Midoriya vouches for him, I'm good. Plus he was a big help! He totally manned up and took charge, right?" He turned to Kamianri.
"Yup!" Kamianri agreed.
"He looked so cool," Nami added.
"Did you notice he looked like the dude on the emergency exit signs when he was on the wall earlier?"
"This is a waste of time," Aizawa groaned from within his sleeping bag. Midoriya started to tremble more. "I don't care who the rep is, just hurry up."
Iida stood up as Aizawa went back to sleep. "If Midoriya is nominating me for this job...then I humbly accept." He raised his arm. "I pledge to carry out the duties of class rep to the best of my abilities!"
"Sounds good, Emergency Exit!" Kirishima cheered.
"Emergency Exit Iida!" Kaminari said.
"It had a ring to it," Nami smiled as Jiro looked at her.
"Don't let us down, man!" Kaminari said.
"Hello, I got two more votes than him," Yaoyorozu complained. The class moved on; Aizawa was back at the podium.
"Today's training will look a little different," Aizawa informed. "You'll have three instructors. "Me, All Might, and another faculty member will be keeping tabs on you." Everyone gasped.
"Sir!" Sero said as he raised his hand. "What kinda training is this?"
"Rescue," Aizawa announced as he held up the card. "You'll be dealing with natural disasters, shipwrecks, stuff like that."
"Disasters, huh?" Kaminari asked as their classmates got excited; he turned to Ashido. "Sounds like we're in for a big workout."
"Totally!" Ashido cheered.
"Real hero stuff," said Kirishima. "This is what separates the men from the boys." He sat back more. "I'm shakin' with excitement."
"Finally, I'll get to show off how good I am in water," Tsu said. "Ribbit."
"Guys, I'm not finished yet," Aizawa said; everyone gasped. "What you wear in this exercise is up to you. I know you're excited about costumes..." He clicked the button to open those doors up. "But keep in mind that you haven't gotten used to them yet, and they might limit your abilities. This special trainings at an off-campus facility, so we'll be taking a bus to get there. That's all. Start getting ready." Everyone did as they were told; Nami now sat on a bench next to Shoto as they waited for the bus.
"Did you get caught by the mob too bad?" Nami asked.
"No," Shoto answered. "I heard calling out, was everything okay?"
"Things were a bit hectic," Nami answered. "Hit my head pretty hard, but everything turned out fine." She glanced back to see Bakugo standing by himself with only one gauntlet.
"Gather around, Class 1-A!" Iida announced. "Using your student number form two neat lines, so we can load the bus efficiently." He blew the whistle more.
"Iida's kicking it into high gear as our class rep, huh?" Izuku asked; Iida blew the whistle more. Everyone loaded the bus not following Iida's instructions due to the step-up. Nami sat in front of Shoto's row. She heard a grunt when someone sat next to her; she looked to see Bakugo, and he looked at her.
'How the hell do I always end up near this Gremlin?' Nami thought to herself.
'How the hell do I always end up next to Star Girl?' Bakugo thought to himself. Soon the bus was in motion; on the other side of Bakugo sat Jiro, as the bus drove; Nami closed her eyes for a minute; Bakugo put his elbow on her shoulder; and then looked over her head out the window.
'I'm going to kill him,' Nami thought to herself. 'Next battle training, I'm going to kill him.'
"The bus's layout ruined my boarding strategy," Iida cried in slight defeat.
"Iida, you really need to chill," Ashido advised.
"If we're pointing out the obvious, then there's something I wanna say...about you, actually," Tsu said as she looked at Izuku.
"About me?" Midoriya panicked. "What is it, Asui?"
" I told you to call me Tsu," She reminded him.
"Oh, yeah, right," Midoriya said.
"That power of yours. Isn't it a lot like All Mights?" Tsu asked.
"What?" Midoriya squealed Nami opened her eyes. "Really? You think so, huh? I never really thought about that." He turned away from her. "I guess it's kinda similar..."
"Wait, hold on, Tsu," Kirishima said. "You're forgetting All Might doesn't hurt himself. That makes a huge difference."
"Yeah, Midoriya has a broken boy reputation building up," Nami added.
"Still, I bet it's cool to have a simple augmenting-type a'Quirk," Kirishima said. "You can do a lot of flashy stuff with it." He held out his arm, activating his Quirk. "My hardening's super strong and can destroy bad guys in a fight, but it doesn't look all that impressive."
Midoriya's eye sparkled. "Oh, no way, I think it's really awesome looking. You're definitely pro-material with a Quirk like that."
"You really think so?" Kirishima asked. "It seems like it'd be easier to be a popular hero if I had somethin' flashier."
"My Navel Laser's got the perfect combination of panache and strength," Aoyama said with face in his hands.
Ashido put a hand on his shoulder. "But it's way lame if it gives you a stomach, sweetie."
"Well, if any of our classmates have pro Quirks, it's Takeda, Todoroki, and Bakugo," Kirishima; their classmates all looked at them.
"Takeda really saved my butt during our training exercise," Sero recalled. "If it weren't for her, who knows what Dark Shadow would've done."
"Nothing to kill you," Tokoyami assured.
"Bakugo's always angry, so he'll never be popular," Tsu said.
Bakugo started to rage; standing up from his seat. "Uh---What'd you say? I'll kick your ass!"
"Ya see?" Tsu pointed out.
"Y'know, we basically just met you. So it's kinda telling that we all know your personality is flaming crap mixed with garbage," Kaminari said.
Bakugo turned toward him making Jiro move further away from Bakugo. "You're gonna regret the day you applied to this school, you loser!" More shouting occurred.
"Such a gremlin," Nami stated looking up at him.
"This is such as disgusting conversation," Yaoyorozu said as she put her hand over her mouth.
Urakaka turned to her with a smile. "Yeah, but it's kind of fun listening to them fight."
"Like hell, I will!" Bakugo said.
"Hey, hey, we're here," Aizawa announced. "Stop messing around."
"Yes, sir," everyone responded.
"Whatever," Bakugo grunted.
