Chapter No 9: Abhira,s happiness.

Abhira was sitting in her room and opened her laptop.

A bright smile played on her lips as she opened her story and took a deep breath after closing her eyes. She opened her eyes and stared at the blank page before her with a focused expression on her face. Her fingers danced over the keys in a rhythmic motion as the scenes continued to play in front of her eyes like a movie. She paused, her fingers hovering over the keys as she bit her lower lip and then resumed her work choosing the words rather carefully as she tried her best to bring her imagination to life.

A mixture of emotions flooded through her and she dug a nail into the skin of her palm. She breathed as she continued to pen down the scenes living in rent free in her mind. Her fingers trembled with nervousness as she brought the chapter to an end with her breath held captive.

She closed her laptop after saving the draft and placed it on the table.

She walked towards the balcony and leaned against the balcony door. Her lips carved into a tender smile as she gazed at sunset.

She breathed deeply and then looked at the lines of her palm. Leaning against the balcony door, she raised her hand up and traced random patterns on her palm.

So you met him?

Abhir,s voice started her and she turned around, almost stumbling.

Abhir said worriedly reaching out to hold her hand. She breathed, her heart pounding against her chest.

Abhira smiled. Abhir looped his arm around her shoulder.

So Kaisi rahi meet?

Abhir asked looking at her, a hint of hope evident in his eyes.

Abhira,s heart skipped a beat and she gazed at him for a moment and then tapped her chin with her finger.

Pata nahin.

Abhira said softly.

Kya matlab?

Abhir asked, his eyebrow arching in question.

Abhira gave him a look but didn't say anything and sighed

Matlab no opinion?

Abhir asked, disbelief etched across his features.

Abhira looked at him.

Bhai main ek hi meeting mein apna opinion kaise bana sakti hoon?

Abhira asked crossing her arms across her chest looking at him.

Her mind mocked her and she looked at the other side.

Abhir smiled softly, his eyes filled with understanding as he spoke

Abhira smiled at him softly and said, a knowing glint dancing in her eyes

Kya chahiye?

Abhir gasped in shock and looked at her wide eyed.

Tum mind reader ho kya?

He asked, his voice filled with shock.

Abhira winked at him.

She said mischievously. Abhira smiled sheepishly.

Coffee chahiye tere hath ki.

Abhir said softly and Abhira smiled.

Okay main lati hoon.

Abhira said softly and left from there to make coffee for him.

On The Other Side!!!

Armaan took a bite of his food. The atmosphere was peaceful and Armaan loved it. Being a doctor, he rarely gets free and today was one of the rare days he was enjoying homemade food.

Rishi trailed off and cleared his throat.

Armaan looked at him and raised an eyebrow.

Armaan asked, his eyebrow arched in question.

First meet Kaisi gayi?

Rishi asked and everyone,s attention shifted towards the topic.

Kaveri spoke, her voice filled with tenderness.

Tum bataya nahin meeting kaisi gayi.

She asked softly.

Armaan,s mind raced back to the meeting and unknown to him, a gentle smile tugged at his lips.

Rishi exclaimed loudly causing Armaan to chock on his food and cough.

Armaan said suddenly, cutting Rishi off as he stood up from the chair causing everyone to look at him in disbelief. Armaan passed Rishi and quick glare and rushed out of the house.

Armaan said rather quickly as he walked towards the exit.

Kaveri stood up and walked towards Rishi and gently smacked the back of his head.

Rishi yelped because of the sudden action and stood up quickly and turned to look at Kaveri who was glaring at him.

Rishi raised an eyebrow, his hand moved to the back of his head to soothe the jolt that coursed through him because of the sudden action.

Maine kya kiya?

Rishi asked.

Kaveri gave him a look.

Kya zaroorat thi usko tease kerne ki. Bechara khana chor ker chala gaya.

Kaveri chided lightly and Rishi looked at her.

He whinned and everyone else except Kaveri laughed.

On The Other Side!!!

Everyone was sitting for the dinner while Abhiram looked at the empty chair with confusion written all over his face.

Abhira nahin aayi.

Abhir asked confused. Shruti looked up and sighed.

She was about to say something but Akshara cut her off with a casual shrug of her shoulder

Woh waise bhi kahan aati hai.

Abhir,s eyes widened and he stood up from his chair looking at Akshara shocked.

What!!!

Abhir gasped, his voice trembling.

How can you be so casual about this maa?

Abhira asked in disbelief.

Sorry sorry, I'm late.

Abhira,s chirpy voice caught everyone,s attention and Shruti stood up from her chair and turned around rather excitedly while Akshara looked at Abhira with a mixture of disbelief and happiness.

Kya hua?

Abhira asked sitting on a chair beside Abhir. She held his hand and pulled him down on the chair.

Kuch nahin.

Abhir said softly with a smile.

Maa se pooch raha tha ke tum kahan ho. Maa said waise bhi kahan aati hai woh.

Abhir said serving Abhira rice in the bowl.

Abhira eyed her mother for a moment and looked back at Abhir.

Abhira started to speak with a twinkle in her eyes.

Mostly iss time main shoot per hoti hoon na iss liye.

Abhira spoke, her voice calm and convincing.

Shruti sighed once again and resumed eating.

Abhira eyed Abhira, an undefinable emotion shimmering in his eyes but he didn't say anything and smiled.

Devika hurried towards Abhira. Abhira stopped eating and looked at her with a soft smile on her face.

Oh so idhar ho aap.

Abhira said softly raising an eyebrow.

Devika smiled sheepishly and held her ear.

Sorry.

Abhira smiled and kissed the tip of Devika,s nose making her giggle softly.

It's okay.

Abhira said softly and picked her up and made her sit on the chair beside her. Now she was sitting in middle with Abhir and Devika on the either sides of her.

Abhira,s phone rang and she looked at it and sighed.

Kya hua?

Abhir asked softly placing his hand on hers.

Abhira smiled feeling guilty.

Important call.

Abhira said, her voice a mixture of hesitation and guilt.

Abhir gazed at her and looked at his waist watch.

Iss time?

He asked. Abhira nodded her head in positive.

Kisi bhi time aa jate hain.

Abhira said with a sheepish smile. Abhir smiled and nodded his head in positive.

Utha lo.

Abhir said softly.

Abhira smiled hearing him.

Abhira picked up the call nodding her head and humming occasionally as she heard what the other person said.

Ji.

Abhira said nodding her head in positive.

Abhi?

Abhira asked, a hint of surprise evident in her tone.

Oh okay.

Abhira said softly and nodded her head in positive, her features relaxing slightly.

Okay kal baat kerte hain.

Abhira said softly.

Bye sir.

She said, a hint of smile playing on her face.

The call was disconnected and everyone eyed her with an eyebrow arched in question.

Kya hua?

Everyone asked in unison.

Abhira looked at him and chuckled softly.

Logon ko lead actress se zyada main pasand aa rahi hoon so mujhe lead lena chahate hain.

Abhira said with a soft smile, her happiness evident all over her face.

Wow that's a great news moti/ Abhira.

The trio said in unison.

Abhira made a face faking offense at her nickname making everyone laugh.

Abhira said softly as she stood up from the chair after a while.

Abhir asked softly.

Abhira said softly and planted a kiss on his cheek before leaving.
