Abhira came back home. She entered inside the living room and immediately a bright smile tugged at her lips, her heart swelled with warmth.

A 9 years old Devika semi yelled, her eyes lit up with delight as she hurried towards Abhira. Abhira also hurried towards her and bent down to match her height.

I missed you.

She said, her voice a sweet melody that washed over Abhira like a warm wave and she circled her arms around Abhira,s neck pulling her into a warm hug.

Abhira laughed, her heart overflowing with a mixture of love and longing as she hugged Devika back.

I missed you meri princess.

Abhira said, her voice chocking with emotion.

Devika pulled back and planted kisses all over Abhira,s face, her light, affectionate kisses made Abhira giggle in delight.

Devika asked, her voice filled with hope.

Abhira,s heart melted like an ice cream in the summer and she nodded her head in positive making Devika smile brightly.

Devika asked extending her pinky finger.

Devika smiled innocently and looked at Abhira, a sleepy haze clouding her eyes making her beautiful eyes look more softer.

Devika asked, her wide eyes sparkling with a mixture of hope and innocence.

Abhira nodded her head in positive, the smile never leaving her lips as she held Devika,s hands in hers and kissed them tenderly.

Abhira bowed down in front of Devika playfully and Devika giggled, her giggles were muffled against her palm that now covered her mouth.

Abhira smiled and picked Devika and Devika giggled softly.

Devika said, a soft giggle escaping her lips and Abhira kissed her cheek.

Abhira said softly and rubbed her nose with Devika,s

Abhira concluded with a soft smile gracing her lips. She closed the story book and looked down to find Devika sleeping.

Abhira smiled and bent over and gently kissed Devika,s forehead, her affection for her clear.

Abhira bit her lower lip as she intensely read the romantic novel gifted by Shruti. It was a sweet love story and she loved it but today she felt nervous. The scenes were so perfectly described that she could paint vivid images in her mind and she loved it but the romantic scene was so vividly described that she couldn't help but feel nervous. She breathed, nervousness etched across her face. It was completely different from the romance that she usually wrote in her stories. Her definition of romance was way strikingly different from the romance which was described in the novel she was reading. Gulping the lump that formed in her throat, she closed her eyes clutching the bedsheet into her first. Her heart pounded in her chest at the wild rhythm as her mind raced back to the romance she has just read now. She shut the book tightly feeling shy. Her cheeks heated up with a blush and then she stood up from the bed and walked towards the bookshelf and placed the book into it.

She hurried towards the bed and covered herself with the blanket. Her heart still racing in her chest as she closed her eyes feeling the blush on her cheeks deepening.

Abhira thought shutting her eyes tightly.

She felt Devika wrap her arm around her from behind and she smiled, the tension in her bones melted away, replaced by a sense of calmness and she closed her eyes, a sigh of contentment escaped her lips before sleep consumed her completely.

It was evening and Abhira felt soft hands touching her face. She smiled at the softness in her sleep and soon she felt a kiss on her forehead. She stirred, a sigh of contentment escaped her lips.

Utho na didi.

Devika,s voice was a distant murmur in her ears but she didn't miss the whinny tone and forced her eyes open.

She smiled, her eyes clouded with a gentle sleepy haze. Devika palmed her mouth to control the giggles bubbling within her and she bent over planting gentle kisses all over her face earning soft giggles from her.

Abhira gently held Devika,s hands and sat upright on the bed. She planted a tender kiss on the tip of Devika,s nose making her giggle.

She gently pushed Devika back on the bed and smiled mischievously.

Devika looked at her, her eyes widened in alarm.

Didi no.

Devika said, her heart pounding in her chest trying to move back but Abhira didn't let her.

Are aise kaise?

Abhira said in a questioning manner, her eyes twinkling with mischief as she moved her fingers in a tickling motion. Devika giggled, her laughter a joyous melody dancing in the air.

Bas di bas

Devika said in between her laughter, tears rolled down her cheeks from laughing so hard. Abhira smiled softly watching her laughing and moved back. Devika somehow controlled her laughter and started taking heavy, unsteady breathes trying to calm herself.

Yeh kya tha?

Devika asked crossing her arms across her chest.

Kuch nahin. Mera mann kiya toh maine ker dia.

Abhira said smiling mischievously and stood up from the bed. Walking towards the bookshelf, she took out a book and passed it to Devika.

Yeh lo.

Abhira said softly.

Devika smiled, her eyes twinkling with happiness.

Devika screamed, her eyes shining with delight and as she hurriedly stood up on the bed and wrapping her arms around Abhira pulling her in a warm hug.
