Chapter No 39: Rising Tide Of Emotions.

She found herself dressed in a beautiful black shimmery gown as she sat on her bed, with an expression of Concentration on her face.

The words flowed from her mind to her fingertips. She typed, her eyes staring at the screen ahead. She paused biting onto her bottom lip and blinked her eyes a few times before going into a state of daze. Her mind started to get clouded with images, various scenarios playing in front of her eyes like a reel of some movie. She blinked her eyes in surprise as a line she had read somewhere crossed her mind. She closed her eyes, various scenarios playing in her mind, each one looked more beautiful than the last filling her with a sense of hope. She opened her eyes, blinking them for a moment and with a deep breath, she started to pen down her imagination, the words flowering from her mind to her fingertips rather freely. She paused, biting onto her bottom lip as a flicker of nervousness crossed her face and then resumed penning down her imagination, her fingers dancing over the keys in a rhythmic motion as she continued to bring her imagination to life. Hours passed and she finally breathed out before saving the draft for some editing and closed her laptop.

She leaned back closing her eyes, allowing her imagination to run wild leaving her adrift in a vevid dream.

Dressed in a beautiful white Shalwar kameez, she hurried forward, the doors stood closed, the familiar doors that once provided her warmth now towered over her like a cold monolith. The night air was suffocating, heavy with a haunting silence. Her heart raced and she could feel desperation raising in her throat.

Mumma.

She called out raising a trembling hand and knocking the door, the familiar wood felt cold against her palm, the coldness sending a shiver down her spine.

Her plea was met by silence.

Mumma.

She called out, her knocks turning frenetic with each passing moment.

Mumma darwaza kholein.

She yelled out knocking the door frantically, her knuckles aching from the impact. Her heart raced in her chest as her blood ran cold.

Mumma!!!!

She shouted on top of her lungs, her voice breaking in anguish as she knocked the door frantically. Desperation etched across her face.

MUMMA DARWAZA KHOLEIN!!!!!

She yelled out, desperate as she pounded on the door, her heart pounding, the sound of her cries echoing in the stillness of the night.

Mumma please darawaza kholein.

She managed to whisper, her voice hoarse. She pressed her forehead against the cold wooden doors, her harsh breathes, a distant echo against the turmoil ragging within her.

Mumma aap darwaza kyun nahin khol rahi.

She cried out, her words, a broken whisper as she sank down on the cold floor and pulled her knees to her chest leaning against the door.

The surroundings around her shifted, this time to a more brutal scenario.

Armaan stood leaning against the door, a hint of smile playing on his face, their eyes locked and he reached out to shut the doors.

Armaan.

She yelled, panic raising within her and she ran, tears blurring her vision.

Armaan.

Abhira yelled out as she now frantically knocked the closed door. Her heart racing out of fear as she restlessly pounded on the door.

Armaan.

She called out, her voice a raw scream as she pounded on the door restlessly.

Armaan please open the door.

She yelled out, her voice breaking in anguish as tears, hot and relentless streamed down her cheeks.

Armaan darwaza kholo. It's paining.

She yelled, her voice breaking as her hands slowed the pace while her tears continued to roll down her cheeks.

Armaan please.

Abhira managed to whisper, her voice stuck somewhere at the base of her throat.

Armaan please darwaza kholo.

The words died on her lips as her hands dropped at her sides , her throat turned dry and she pressed her forehead against the door.

Please open the door.

She said, her voice a broken whisper as she placed a trembling hand on her aching heart. A mixture of exhaustion and fear flooding through her.

Armaan tum toh mujhe mat choro. Don't abandon me.

She whispered, her face crumbling in anguish as she slid down to the cold floor, pulling her knees to her chest and leaning against the door.

You can't leave me.

She whispered brokenly, her tears flowing at a higher pace as her entire body ached with exhaustion.

Abhira.

His warm voice echoed in her ears and her head jolted up.

Armaan.

Abhira let out a breathy gasp of his name as she jolted up, sitting upright on the bed. Sweat beads formed and rolled down her forehead. She looked around, her heart pounding with a mixture of fear and hope. The room was bathed in a soft golden glow of the bedside lamp and she heaved with ragged breathes, still caught in the haze of her nightmare.

Images begin to cloud her mind and the room felt dark and she looked around, her vision a little blurry and she placed a hand on her heart, her breath visibly catching in her throat. Her body was drenched in cold sweat and she crossed her arms around her chest rather tightly and swallowed hard. She then blinked her eyes, a gasp tore from her lips, her chest still heaving slightly as she blinked her eyes again noticing the light in the room. She stood on her feet and took tentative steps towards the feminine dressing table.

She was dressed in the same black, shimmery gown as she looked at her reflection a bit dazed.

But then a gasp escaped her lips as she felt someone snacking arms around her from behind and her eyes widened, her gaze fixing on the mirror.

Armaan.

She gasped out, her voice trembling as she caught sight of him standing behind her, her heart racing.

Tum yahan?

She managed to whisper, her voice caught somewhere between her racing heart and suddenly dry throat.

She felt his warm breath whisper against her skin, sending shivers racing down her spine.

He turned her around holding one of her shoulders softly and their eyes locked, a flicker of shock crossing her face.

He tapped her nose with his finger, she gazed at him dazed, her heart skipping a million beats at a time and a shiver raced down her spine, the gesture held an exquisite tenderness that made her heart swell.

I thought you needed me.

He said, his voice soft and she looked at him for a moment, her expression unreadable.

Kyun?

She whispered softly, as if too afraid to break the spell.

He held her hand, his brows frowned but his eyes twinkling with an undefinable emotion that had her heart racing in her chest, the loud beats echoing in her ears.

Aise hi.

Her heart skipped like a stone across water and she turned around, facing the mirror again, trying to hold back the overwhelming need of comfort that flooded through her.

Matlab?

She asked, biting onto her bottom lip trying to keep her voice steady.

Agar Meri zaroorat nahin hai toh main jaun?

She felt her heart crack at his words and her eyes welled up with a delicate sheen of tears but she shook her head refusing to acknowledge her vulnerability.

Jao.

She said, her voice coming out sharper then she had intended and her hand reached out to grasp the hairbrush with trembling fingers and she ran the hairbrush through her hair.

Her movements felt forced as she closed her eyes, grasping the hairbrush tighter as she ran the hairbrush through her hair with more force.

Toh main jaun?

The words reached her ears and she turned around swiftly, the hairbrush falling from her hand, onto the floor with a loud thud and she was ready to glare at him but her heart hitched seeing the smile on his face.

He moved forward and held her hand.

Kya soch rahi ho?

He asked, the softeness of his voice made her heart race and she gazed at him.

Kuch nahin.

She said, her words a breathless whisper as her heart raced.

Armaan smiled, his eyes twinkling with a knowing glint.

Jhoothi.

He teased, the warm timber in his voice sent shivers down her spine.

He caressed her cheek, the warmth of his touch made her feel all the way more vulnerable and she chocked out, the words coming out rather forcefully

Leave.

He continued to smile at her and reached out placing a hand on her racing heart.

The touch on her heart had her dazed and she gazed up, her eyes wide and her breath hitched.

He let out a soft laugh and shivers raced down her spine, her heart swelling with an overwhelming emotion that left her puzzled.

Dhadkanein tez ho gayi na?

He asked softly and she felt a lump forming in her throat.

She couldn't answer him, her tongue had left the power to speak.

She felt a mixture of frustration and tiredness bubbling within her and she felt tears welling up in her eyes. She was tired, tired of the war between her heart and brain. She hated how her eyes always gave her away.

She looked at him trying to compose herself and spoke

Mujhe nahin pata.

She forced the words out, her struggle evident as she tried to hold back her tears.

Armaan shook his head and reached out, gently tapping her chin.

But your eyes say something else.

He said, the twinkle in his eyes was both, annoying and endearing and she found herself trapped, trapped in a beautiful web of feelings she never wanted to acknowledge.

You love me.

He said, his words caught her off guard and she gazed at him, her eyes wide in panic.

I don't.

She countered, her voice wavering slightly as her eyes dropped.

You do.

He said again, his voice firm.

I don't.

She said again turning around, bracing herself to fight against the rising tide of emotions within her.

Tumhein mere hone ya na hone se koi fark nahin padta?

He questioned, curiously and she turned her head sharply to gaze at him.

She took a trembling breath, her heart aching as his words sunk in, a wave of uncertainty crashing over her.

Nahin padta.

She said, her words, a clear lie as she locked eyes with him, her heart now pounding out of fear.

He laughed softly, the sound made her gulp. He reached out and held her head, the gentle touch sent a jolt of warmth through her.

Toh Mujhe chale jana chahiye.

He said, his voice barely above a whisper as her eyes locked into his softened gaze.

Abhira swallowed hard, the color drained from her face, a sense of dread washing over her.

Armaan....

I understand.

He cut her off softly, his eyes sparkling in the dim light.

Another lump formed in her throat hearing him, her mind racing in desperation as she gazed at him.

Aaj ke baad main tumhein kabhi pareshan nahin karunga

She shook her head sideways rather desperately. Fear, thick and cloying, coiled in her stomach threatening to chock her with it's intensity.

Main ja raha hoon. Alvida Abhira.

He said softly, his eyes sparkling. Abhira felt his hold on her hand loosening rapidly and she shook her head sideways in desperation, the lump in her throat growing, a sense of abandonment crashed over her in waves, tears blurred her vision as she chocked out

Armaan ruko.

As he continued to step back with a smile on his face, the fear of losing him gripped her heart so tightly, almost driving her to the brink of despair.

ARMAAN!!!!

She yelled out, the windows clicked and the noise startled her. She turned around, her eyes wide in panic.

She looked around, her heart pounding wildly against her chest, the weight of her emotions crashed over her like a tidal wave and she fell on her knees, her mind racing to process the emotional turmoil ragging within her.
