Werewolves
Werewolves are creatures that have a total of three forms: a human form; a wolf form; and the in-between form in which they are mainly human except for having wolf ears and a wolf tail, along with sharper teeth.
Abilities/Powers: outside of their ability to change from one form to the other, werewolves possess incredible speed and strength along with heightened senses of hearing, sight, and smell, and these abilities manifest in each of their forms. All werewolves have the ability of regeneration, however this is limited to limbs like arms and legs. There has been cases when werewolves are born with powers, however this can be anything from being able to heal others to telepathy to element manipulation.
Weaknesses: Werewolves are naturally weak to silver weapons, as silver acts as a poison when exposed to a werewolf's bloodstream. Because werewolves are similar to humans, the usual ways to die, for example age, fire, drowning, and decapitation are all valid ways for a werewolf to die.
Societal & Political Stuffs: Werewolves operate on a standard wolf pack structure. Alphas are the leaders and are typically a male and female pair who are mates and are dominant over the rest of the pack. Betas are next in the social heirarchy, basically the Alpha's second in command and the next in line to run the pack if anything was to happen to the Alphas. Zetas are the pack's highest ranking warriors and are the same ranking as Betas. Deltas are next and are in charge of hunting/providing for the pack. Omegas are the lowest ranking in the pack and are the weakest, often placed in charge of guarding the boundaries of the pack's territory. Packs are very territorial, which has caused many a conflict between different packs that are either resolved through marriage, some sort of treaty, or the elimination of the rival pack. Hybrids are typically treated as outcasts and aren't even given a proper rank in the pack, however there has been some hybrids known to become the Alphas of the occasional open-minded pack. Werewolves are very closely tied to the phases of the moon, and are often strongest during full moons.
Mating: Once werewolves hit puberty, they will start going through a heat cycle. Females will typically go into a heat cycle during breeding season, which is mostly during winter and lasts for about one to two weeks while males mostly go into heat whenever they feel like it. Werewolves will, for a majority of the time, only have the urge to breed with their mate, though there has been variations of this
Transmission: It is possible to be turned into a werewolf through a werewolf's bite or some other transmission of bodily fluids into the bloodstream. This DNA will overpower a human's while with another supernatural creature's the DNA will fight with that creature's DNA, often causing the creature to go into a coma or die.
Lifespan: A werewolf's lifespan is typically a hundred to two hundred years. This doesn't really change for hybrids
Natural Enemies: Due to their territorial aggressiveness, werewolves have many enemies. Their main enemies are vampires and humans. The main reason why there's animosity between werewolves and vampires is because of how for the longest time vampires looked down on werewolves for being so similar to actual wolves, as well as the pureblood vampires' attempts to control them and use them as slaves. They have a natural animosity and distrust towards humans because of how many of them have tried to kill werewolves.
Similar Creatures: of course, an example is other were-creatures, such as werecats and werebears. Shifters are also similar, but are technically a whole other beast entirely.
