Embodiments

Just so I have somewhere to put this, this is the rough idea I have for Embodiment lore:

•They can either be humanoid or "objects"; for example the Embodiments of the elements are more humanoid. "Object" Embodiments include, for example, the Tree of Life, The Scyth of Death, The String of Fate (so they're typically nonphysical things such as ideas/concepts)

•Embodiments that start out as "objects" can grow consciousness depending on how long they've been around and can even create avatars; however these are more like puppet forms while their true essence is within their original "object" form; they cannot reproduce

•The Elemental Embodiments are the physical humanoid forms of their elements, with their element still being their "body"; everyone is a part of Diana because every living thing has water inside them (which is why her "corrupted" magic is in the form of blood magic); Knossos literally gave up his "flesh" for humans in the form of soil and stone; Azarleth grew tired of his flames being extinguished as parts of him literally died each time it happened (there is a difference between extinguishing and containing/controlling flame, yet humans always chose to extinguish); and so on. Embodiments like Sylpha and Amun were less susceptible to pollution but more to corruption

•They still feel whatever is done to their element especially when they are close to something affecting them; Diana will get stressed and experience flu symptoms when around contaminated water (like seriously sick; it would almost be impossible for her to move if she is near completely contaminated and polluted sources of water; most of the time she can use distance and her magic to save herself from the worst of these effects but whenever she gets too close the these sources its almost impossible for her to keep those barriers up), Knossos goes into a rage whenever he feels people digging into the earth's surface (mainly whenever he is near things like active mines and he goes into self defense mode) and he also experiences lapses of memory, Azarleth also has trouble remembering things and controlling himself so its why he chose to be imprisoned within an active volcano, surrounded by active fire so he can keep some semblance of sanity

•In the scheme of power levels, humanoid Embodiments are technically more powerful because they can use their powers whenever they want; "object" Embodiments contain a lot of power but must be acted upon in order to be "used"

•The Embodiments that have become monsters known as the Ancients (like Diana, Knossos, Azarleth, etc.) are potentially able to be used/controlled by the gods that have replaced them; The Goddess of Water can control Diana (however they (as they seem to be replaced a lot) are often too scared to even attempt such a thing, but the Gods/Goddesses of Earth and Fire can control Knossos and Azarleth because of how much more weaker they have become in regards to willpower

•"Object" Embodiments are controlled by/entrusted to the gods and goddesses that represent their concept the most, these objects often choosing them rather than gods themselves choosing them (which in the process of replacing gods/goddesses, some titles/seats will remain empty until their new god is chosen, which can take anything between seconds to centuries)
