7 Believe in Me
POV 3rd
After picking up the badly hurt Maiden of the Moon Jack Frost was flying in the night sky. His rightful and honest heart had been devoured by hatred and anger towards the world. Pitch knew to use this moment to get a control over him, using Jack’s biggest fears and doubts had worked in his advantage.
There was no heart beating for the Maiden anymore, Jack’s heart had turned into a block of dark ice. He didn’t know who she is but neither did she. They were flying towards Arendelle, a place that drew Jack towards it without him knowing it. When they landed to high on the mountains near Arendelle he dropped her down and was glaring at her.
Maiden of the Moon, Elsa, whimpered when her body hit the ground. The strike of blue lightning had burned her skin, ripped her dress and caused her to hit her head on a rock when she fell to ground. It wasn’t a deadly strike for a Protector and it amazed Frost who was used to his powers creating destruction wherever he went to have a little his kind of fun.
For Jack’s surprise Elsa didn’t even startle when she saw him. He pointed his staff at her and yelled, “How come you’re still alive?” He snapped his tongue in frustrated way and gritted his teeth. “You can hurt me but not kill me,” Elsa said and bravely stood up. “Stupid woman!” Jack shouted and hit her on her cheek with his hand. She fell to ground and Jack froze to stare at her with his lips slightly open.
Elsa was holding her cheek, tears filling her eyes. The tingling sensation heated her cheek and she was panting. Then an image flashed in her mind for a second but she couldn’t concentrate. She was furious. “How dare you Frost!” She yelled and stood up, her hand slapped Jack straight on his cheek but then the flashed image got clear to her. She had done this to him before.
The image caused Elsa to startle and back away few steps. Her hand covered her mouth and she shook her head. She remembered him. “Jack?” She whispered and looks at him while he raises his staff. A cold wave of air gather’s around him once again.
“I warn you, any closer and --,” Jack hissed but now Elsa smiled warmly and took a couple steps forward. She saw him getting nervous and messing up in his own feet. He fell to ground and Elsa chuckled. “You’re acting weird Frosty,” she whispered as she kneeled down next to him. He tried to reach his staff but she pushed it further away with a pile of snow.
For a moment Jack’s eyes showed something else besides hate. It was fear and then Elsa saw how his eyes were becoming black. She felt how he grabbed her arms and squeezed hard. How his hand was going towards her throat slowly.
“Jack,” her voice was dry. “Let me help you,” she whispered and leaned closer. Her hand petted his cheek before cupping it. She held her breath when her lips touched his. He tried to pull away but she didn’t let him. Soon his hand went behind her back and they fell fully on the ground. His hand went into her hair and salty taste got into her mouth. When she opened her eyes she saw him crying with his eyes shut.
Elsa closed her eyes again and kissed him more. Jack had been kissing her back for a while. Then he ended the kiss and Elsa saw his cyan blue eyes looking at her before he buried his face into her hair and started to sob. He embraced her tightly.
“I’m not dead, am I?” Jack whispered and Elsa shook her head. “No you’re not.. glad that you’re back Frost,” she whispered and petted his head as he chuckled and smiled afterwards. She rolled some of his hair around her finger, it remained black even though he was back in his senses.
“We will fix this,” Elsa whispered and cupped Jack’s cheek after he had noticed his hair. He shook his head, “They’re not believing in me anymore,” he sighed and stood up. When he took his staff and slammed it on ground, nothing happened. He called the wind but nothing happened. Elsa’s heart was aching while she watched him.
“Come here,” she whispered and Jack came to her, leaning to his staff and his face facing the ground. He was breathing rapidly and trying not to cry. He felt useless and like he had let down all the children of the world.
Elsa touched his chest and then she leaned against him. She pressed her head against his chest and listened while closing her eyes. His heartbeat was faint and cold. “Jack, your heart.. it’s turned black and solid,” she whispered and looked at his expression. “Can it be fixed?” Jack said with his hope crumbling to pieces.
Elsa bit her lower lip, gently she brushed his cheek with her hand. “I don’t know Frosty,” she sighed and kissed his cheek. It still tasted salty after the tears he had shed. Then she smiled warmly to him, “They’ll believe in you again. Let’s make it happen, shall we?”
Jack smiled and embraced her, “I’m so happy to see you again. H-how are you back?” He gulped and looks at her. “I’m sorry that I was away.. I lost my memories like you did,” she smiled sadly and he seemed confused. “I guess that you don’t fully realize of who I become after my death,” she whispered.
Then Elsa stood straight and inhaled deeply, “Jack. You’ve seen me when you were a child, before the moment you first met me in person. I’m the Maiden of the Moon now. I visited you in your dreams when you were a child and now Manny let me see you in this time.” Jack’s jaw dropped and he looks at her. He is not sure if he should believe her or not.
“So that’s why,” Jack whispered and touched her cheek. “That’s why you always seemed so familiar from somewhere, My Moon,” he chuckled and kissed her. Her hands went behind his back and after the kiss they were laughing together.
“You are too late,” a cruel and loud yell interrupted their moment. They turn around and see how a man steps out of darkness. “Pitch,” Jack hissed and Elsa glances at Jack. From behind of Pitch a darker version of Elsa walked to his front. “Hello Jack,” dark Elsa smiled in her evil way.
“Too late?” Elsa raised her voice. “What do you mean?” She said and her anger was freezing the place, Pitch ignored the ice spikes that were growing and getting closer to him.
“I said that you’re too late. Without kids believing in him… well, there will soon be no Jack Frost,” Pitch laughed coldly and Elsa glanced at Jack. “And his heart is too hardened to ever bring the fun to world again,” Pitch added while grinning.
“You were too late Maiden of the Moon,” Pitch laughed and then glared at her, “Or should I say.. Mrs. Frost.” Then Pitch took out his black sand bow and aimed at Elsa. A single black nightmare sand arrow appeared. “Kill her,” dark Elsa shouted and wrapped her arms around Pitch.
Jack saw what was happening and he quickly run in front of Elsa when Pitch shoot his arrow. It was flying directly at them, Jack was embracing Elsa tightly, protecting her with his own body.
WHOOSH!
Jack and Elsa raised their heads and they saw a large boomerang flying in the air. “The Guardians,” Elsa whispered as she saw North flying with a sleigh. Toothiana took out her swords and she flew towards dark Elsa. She swung her swords at her but dark Elsa vanished for a moment until she appeared behind of Toothiana. Dark Elsa was actually forming from black sand and her hands grabbed Toothiana’s neck and she started to strangle her. Toothiana tried to hit behind of her back with the swords but then her hands fell down numb.
Elsa broke free from Jack and run forward. She stomped her feet on ground and a giant pointy wall made from ice appeared. She pushed her hand forward quickly and the ice wall shot out towards dark Elsa. It hit on her and she dropped Toothiana to ground. Sandy flew at the scene and went to protect gasping Toothiana from Nightmare horses of Pitch.
“I think we should leave!” North shouted when hundreds of Nightmare horses appeared on the scene. Elsa looked around her but Pitch had disappeared. She groaned but then went to Jack. “Come with us,” she smiled and took his hand. Jack shook his head, “I hurt them.”
Elsa sighed, “You were controlled. They might be able to help me with helping you. We’ll get you back. I promise.” She whispered and kissed him while her hand petted gently his black hair. After the kiss Jack nodded and leaned down to grab his staff. He run towards North’s sleigh and since he couldn’t fight like usual, he kept on knocking down the approaching Nightmare horses with his staff.
Everyone rushed to North’s sleigh and then it raised up when Bunnymund jumped on it. “Not the snowglobes mate,” Bunny gasped as North took out a gold decorated snowglobe and asked it to take them to Bunny’s Easter Island. They flew through the portal that appeared and it closed just before the horses were able to follow them.
