Caspian turned and Nadia stood there, "I thought you had retired to your chambers."

"I was waiting for you."

"Is there something worrying you?"

"I have been meaning to have a chat about a few things on my mind," Nadia replied.

"Of course."

"Can we do this at your chambers?"

"I would rather we go to your chambers."

Nadia seemed to be overjoyed with his suggestion, "I will lead the way then."

They walked in her chambers and he saw that it was different but he really would not know as he spent most of the time at his chambers or at Aurora's.

He sat by the table, and she sat too, "I know we haven't had much time to ourselves as you have urgent matters to attend to as the king but I was hoping we could bond again."

Caspian was too tired for all this, why could they not discuss it in the morning?

"How so?"

"We can select activities that we love and we share them with each other," Nadia replied.

"That's a sound plan."

"Do you have any suggestions?" Caspian could see that she was hopeful, did she think he would forget Aurora or how they had made her last days at the palace a living hell?

"I will have to give some thought to it."

Nadia took Caspian's hands, "We can do it together, if you're having a rough day, just know that I am here for you and I am willing to listen to anything that is on your mind and I will do the same."

"We can try that."

"I loved the idea that my mother gave about us naming our children after them, that way their legacy can go on and our children can grow into their names," Nadia replied.

Caspian was tired of hearing that, why did they all throw it at him as if it was a great idea, no-one had consulted him but they all assumed he would love it.

They did not have to worry about being named after his and Nadia's children as that would not be happening.

"Don't you agree Caspian?"

"I do, it's a wonderful idea and has great meaning."

"I knew you would love it," Nadia replied.

"How could I not?"

"How many children do you want us to have?"

"As many as we can get."

Nadia laughed, "Hopefully most of them would be from me."

"I hope so too."

"It would be wonderful for us to watch them grow, and as we teach them as they go."

"They would have the best of everything."

"I love how we are connecting, it's up to us to decide how we want to live. From the beginning, I have always known that I was meant to be your wife. For me, I had many suitors sent my way but none of them sparked my interest, and most of them were afraid to even look me in the eye or let alone speak to me without stuttering. They were a bore and I did not feel anything for them, even my parents were wary of me and thought I would not get married with the way my meetings were going. When it was time to come and see you, I thought it would be the same, but you did not seem the least nervous or intimidated by me nor did you flatter me unnecessarily as all my other suitors had. I knew then and there that I wanted you to be my husband and that is when we had our first kiss."

Caspian could tell that Nadia was now waiting for him to tell her when he had decided that she would be his queen and why he had chosen her, "Well when I first heard that you were coming to see me and you could be my potential bride, I was interested as I had heard about you."

"I hope it was a great thing," Nadia replied.

"Of course it was, and when I first laid my eyes on you, your beauty had taken me aback, you were and still are the fairest in the land. I could not keep my eyes off you and at the banquet, it made me more intrigued when you challenged me as a woman who had never done that. When the night ended and you took my hand, snuck away from the guards and we had our first kiss. I knew then and there that you were the queen that I was looking for."

Nadia smiled from ear to ear, "I don't know what took us so long to tell each other all of this, our communication should be better from this day onwards, let's start afresh as if we are meeting each other as we did by the banquet. Nothing can come between us anymore or tear us apart."

"What do you mean?"

"You and I have found our way back to each other and it is all as it meant to be," Nadia replied.

"That is true," Caspian replied covering his tracks, he had been agitated by her words implying that they were better off without Aurora.

"We should have a picnic, the weather is great out."

Caspian wondered when she would go to bed, "We could have one tomorrow with your parents."
"That is a wonderful idea, I will arrange the food."

Caspian nodded, "I will send word to our parents."

"Shall we try having children?"

"I'm very tired Nadia, all I want to do is close my eyes and sleep."

Nadia stood up and took his hand, she led him to her bed where they lay down and she nestled herself on his shoulder.

"I missed this, I missed us Caspian."

"So did I."
After some time he could hear that Nadia's breathing had changed and she had fallen asleep, laying here he did not feel as if he belonged.

Many times when he lay with Aurora he did not want to wake up and nor did he want her to move from his arms.

He had loved every minute of it, especially the nights when they would make love, Caspian made sure to move Nadia slowly from him. He climbed off her bed and went to his chambers.

He lay on his bed and it felt better................

Caspian now stood as the carriages and food was being loaded for the picnic that they were going to have, Nadia came next to him, he could not lie that she was a beauty, especially with the blue dress she wore.

"I did not hear you leave."

"I had urgent matters to attend to."

"You should have woken me up and I would have accompanied you."

"There was no need Nadia, and besides you looked peaceful as you slept and I didn't want to disrupt you."

"For being charming, I will have a special surprise for you."

"I can't wait."

The picnic went great and today finally Nadia's parents were heading back, the farewells were long and now they stood as they watched them leave.

Caspian turned to Nadia, "I have matters to attend to."

"Again, I have only seen you during dinner with my parents, is there in any way I can help resolve these matters, I could look into them and help."

"It's nothing that I can't handle, give me a few more days and I will be all yours."

"That better be a promise, we still haven't had our first kiss since your return."

"I am planning something special Nadia, be patient with me."

"I don't mean to nag, I just want to see more of you from the four years that we missed."

"I know, and we will soon."

Caspian accompanied her back and he set out to the library, there he could think without being disrupted or there being suspicions as to what he was truly doing.

Caspian thought long and hard, he would have to go and visit Aurora's friends to see if they had any idea as to where she might be.

It would not hurt for him to try, it was noon which meant it was lunchtime for them. He went to find Douglas,

"Douglas I need your help."

"Say it, and if I can I will."

"Could you go to the servant's quarters and summon Aurora's friends to come meet me at my secret garden."

"Are you sure this is a good idea?"

"I have exhausted all my options and it would not hurt."

Douglas nodded, "I hope this does not get you into deep waters."

"It would not make a difference to me."
