Ch.1 Welcome home.

Stepping out of the taxi, suitcase in your grips, you looked over the paper a few more times just to be sure.

This had to be the place, why else would there be a massive mansion basically in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by nothing but trees?

Taking a deep breath, you tucked your worries away as you walked up to the front gate, strangely enough, it was open.

The front yard had a few stone statues of women in various poses, many of them young and beautiful.

Shrubs of pink roses lined the path you walked along, a bird bath or two  were on your sides.

Who did all the gardening? Who ever it was must have had a massive green thumb.

Each of the shrubs smelled sweet and welcoming. The lawn was well kept as well, soft short grass cut in perfect lines.

You could definitely see yourself getting used to this, just sitting out side, on one of the many stone benches with a book in your hand.

That would be a nice, relaxing morning.

You looked up at the mansion, you swore you thought you saw a curtain move.. Almost like someone was keeping an eye on you.

After feeling a slight shiver go down your spine, you quickly ran up to the front door, to ring the bell.

After the bell rang, a voice yelled out to you. "COME RIGHT IN!"

It startled you for a second, but you twisted the knob and entered the massive mansion.

Once inside, the decor of the place took your breath away, beautiful wooden interior laced with scarlet soft carpets and rugs.

Many pictures lined the walls, each with golden frames. Others were paintings of a garden with many shades of pink.

To your right was a living room, in front of your was a grant staircase, to your left was the dining hall.

Yet, as lively as the decor was, it was rather silent. Hadn't someone yelled to you? Where were they?

"Hello?" You called up the stairs, maybe they were in their room?

"Be right down!" A males voice yelled back, rather quickly.

"Okay!" You yelled back. You sat your suitcase down, leaving it by the coat rack by the door.

After a complete minuet, someone came sliding down the railing of the stairs.

One they landed on their feet, they put their hands on their hips and smiled at you, revealing their very pointy fangs.

"Ah, you must be the maid that Cupid hired?" He asked, with his hand out.

You nod. "Yes, I'm y/n. I'm going to be working here for the summer." You shake his hand.

It was cold, but slightly warm? It was strange.

He was a skeleton monster, taller than you by a lot. His skull had strange markings, black stripes ending in swirls.

He was dressed in casual clothing, yet it was all Halloween themed. Even though it was Halloween wasn't for a couple months.

And, two purple bat wings were folded against his back.

"Nice to finally meet you. Cupid has talked so much about you, I hope we get along, Peaches." He winks.

A faint blush rises on your cheeks. "P-peaches?"

He shrugs his shoulders, crossing his arms. "Yes, since you're cute and smell so svweet."

How could he smell you? He didn't even have a nose!

"I'm Hallow by the vway. Come with me Peaches, you've got to meet the others." He takes you by the wrist and gently drags you into the living room.

The living room was occupied by three other skeletons, each of the had been doing their own thing, that is, until you walked in.

Sorry, got dragged in.

"Guys, the maid is here. Everyone say hello to Y/n." Hallow let's go of your wrist, and plops on the couch next to a skeleton dressed in leather.

One with wolf ears and grey locks of hair, the tips were blue, it was mostly over one of his eyes.

He smiled a sharp, toothy smile at you. It was a smile that could make girls melt under his gaze.

He wore a black and red checkered flannel and torn jeans. A fluffy tail that you wanted to touch was curled around his side.

"Cupid wasn't lying, you sure are a sight for sore eyes. I'm Asher." He sends you a slight wave. "If ya need anythin' just ask."

His voice was deep, laced with a heavy Irish accent. Not like Hallow's slight Russian accent.

One dressed in pink, stood up from the couch and smiled at you. You both were almost the same height.

He somehow had a little bit of an hour glass shape, wearing a pink sweater with a single red heart in the middle of it. And cocoa brown shorts.

A halo hovered above his head. And two single hearts were on each cheek.

"Y/n! It's so great to finally see you in person!" His voice was cheerful, yet slightly high pitched and cute.

"Its me, Cupid!" Cupid skipped over to you and pulled you in a random hug, slightly crushing you.

He was the one that gave you the job, you thought his voice was familiar.

You shyly pat him on the shoulder as he pulled away.

"You too." You smile awkwardly, not used to psychical contact.

The last skeleton had a fanged smirk directed at you. Seeming to be eating you up under the red sunglasses he had.

He wore a leather, half jacket, it being black with green accents. A violet v-neck under the jacket, and black torn jeans.

But, the thing that made him stick out from the others were the venomous vipers he had for hair.

One was a lighter green than the others, it had a pink bow on its head. It must have been female.

"Heya hot s-s-stuff. About time ya got here, now I've got s-s-some eye candy to look at while you clean out from under my bed.~" He chuckles.

"Coby! Inappropriate!" Cupid stomps his foot in a small tantrum, disgusted with 'Coby's' choice of words.

"Y/n, if he causes you any problems, come to me or Asher as soon as possible, okay?" Cupid turns to you.

You nod. "I will Master Cupid. Thank you for the information."

"Oh, so s-s-shes calling us master now? Kinky.~" Coby snickers, only to have Asher elbow him harshly.

Asher stands and walked over to you, towering over you with his massive height. "Ignore him. Anyway, you probably want ta relax after such a long trip. Want me to show you your room?"

You smile up at him. "Yes, thank you, Master Asher."

Asher suddenly picks you up princess style and walks you out of the living room.

"I'm going to make dinner later!" Cupid calls after you both.

After being carried up a flight of stairs, Asher had set you down in front of a door painted in your favorite color. And the letter of your first name on the door handle.

"Alright, here ya are. Remember, if ya need anythin', just call." He winks, setting your suitcase next to you.

He hands you a small key. "This is the key to your room, try not to loose it. Make yourself at home lass." He gives you one last smile before he disappears around a corner.

You smile with a slight blush. He was a sweetheart, a gentle giant if you will.

Entering your room, you shut the door behind you, only to see a tea set on your bedside table.

A note next to the gold and blue tea cups.

In cursive writing it said:

Welcome to the Outcast manor.

Enjoy your stay,

I hope all goes well for you, and you do not end up like the others,

Not everything is as it seems my dear. Keep an eye on your surroundings.

See you soon.

-S.
