Jimin and Jungkook giggle playfully as Jimin picks up the Christmas tinsel and wraps it around the maknae's body.

Jungkook picks up reindeer antlers at the same time Jimin picks up some holiday bunny ears and they decorate each other for their dance practice video.

Once they're done, Jimin smiles big as he takes in Jungkook's fit. He looks cute and he can't help but tell him that out loud.

"It's cute?" Jungkook giggles.

Before they can say anything else, Hobi is up and telling them to get ready to start recording.

The dance goes by quickly and the two are still playful even afterwards. They go straight for the same water bottle and with both of their hands on it, they nearly mash their cheeks together to try and take a drink first— Jimin wins.

"Why are you two so playful today?"

It's probably the Christmassy twinkle in the air. Jimin remembers so well when he and Jungkook were recording their cover of Mistletoe, they acted the same way. Teasing each other.

Every Christmas, they do this.

Whether it be snowball fights, wrapping a scarf tightly around each other, trying to wrap gifts together, or playfully nudging around the Christmas tree and joking about mistletoes.

They're inseparable during Christmas.

But that's only part of the reason why the two sit against the wall side-by-side and brush their hands together.

They're inseparable because even if words go unsaid, they both have the same look in their eye. They both feel heat blanket their already warm skin once their fingers skim across each other's.

They're inseparable because even though they're just friends, Jimin rests his head against Jungkook's shoulder and slides his small fingers over the tattoos on Jungkook's hand.

Jungkook eases his hand over Jimin's instead, wordlessly slipping his fingers into his.

Though they've been a bit chaotic, they've settled down after their dance practice— too tired, so they decide to rest for a while.

At some point the staff brings them in some food, so the two hurry and get theirs just to go right back against the wall and quietly eat together.

They're in their own little world— just like it feels every Christmas.

But unlike every Christmas...

Jimin looks at the youngest and watches as he eats well and he can't help but let his heart eyes beam at him.

Jungkook doesn't notice. He just takes a drink of water and vibes with his meal. But once he glances up at Jimin, he does a double-take, eyes wide and set on him now.

"Why are you watching me?"

Jimin shrugs. "You're just so cute."

Immediately, Jungkook averts his eyes and takes another swig of his drink to hide his reaction. Jimin just smiles and picks up his own water bottle.

But as he's looking down at his bottle, Jungkook scoots in with his legs crisscrossed and pressed against Jimin's. He waits expectantly, leaning towards him.

Jimin smiles so big he can hardly see once he realizes Jungkook's lips are set into the smallest pout and his eyebrows are furrowed— he must think Jimin is taking too long.

So, Jimin finally puts his hand on Jungkook's shoulder and leans the rest of the way in to press a quick peck to his lips.

It took too many years for this moment and it isn't anything grand or huge— it's just a sweet first kiss during dance practice— but it makes both of them smile like idiots in love.

Jungkook leans in for more kisses, pecking Jimin's lips over and over, but Jimin has to pick up his water bottle and push the maknae away, pressing the bottle to his chest to make him back up.

"Eat, Jungkookie."

He picks up his own food and munches down, then gives a sweet smile to the needy youngest.

But before they ever even finish their lunch, they flirt, tease, and kiss a few more times, eventually catching the other members' attention.

They ask millions of questions, but all Jimin and Jungkook can say is, "Yeah, we kissed. What about it?"

And they giggle as they tease the other members by not giving any information; they don't have any idea what they're doing either. They haven't talked about it yet.

But when they go home later that night, they kiss in the privacy of the bedroom and whisper sweet little confessions before falling asleep in each other's arms.

Turns out that they really like each other and agree to go on a first date on Christmas Day, which turns into a tradition for years and years to come.
