Chapter-66|Dhakshayani-1

"What if you don't reach Gokulam on time? What if you can't replace our baby? Will our child die?" Devaki ma asked.

We found ourselves at the prison in Mathura, the very place where Devaki and Vasudeva endured so much suffering. It's difficult to fathom the heartbreak they experienced as Kamsa cruelly took the lives of all their children, except for the eighth, our beloved Krishna. Their story is a poignant reminder face of the unimaginable pain.

"Why are we here, Kanha? Why did you bring me here?" I asked him.
"You'll know for yourself," he replied.
"What?"

"I'll take care of that, Devaki," Vasudeva replied.
"Oh, Durga ma, save our child. Protect my child. Why do we have to face this torment? What did we do?" she cried.
"Oh, my lady, please stop crying. She's always there to protect us. With that hope, I'm going to lead this journey." he replied.

"Kanha, tell me, what's happening?" I asked Kanha.

In an unexpected moment, a warm, radiant light flooded through the window, illuminating the room. From this gentle glow, a figure emerged— a woman.
Her complexion had a glossy hue of collyrium. She had a comely figure with four arms, and three eyes, seated on a lion. Pearls adorned her dishevelled hair.
She was like my twin.

"It was Lord Śiva's energy herself directly in front of us."

"O mother of Universe," Devaki greeted.
"Why were calling upon me for years? What's been tormenting you, Devaki? Ask me for the boon," Goddess Sakthi said.

"O Goddess of Deva, I was mourning the death of all my children on your lotus feet. Please help me from this torment, my chest feels heavy. This eighth child shall be born and will destroy the evil. But, what about my other children, Mata? What sin did they do? Why do they have to die like this?" she sobbed.

"Listen upon me, Devaki. A light from me will make one of your child to be reborn in this universe. As a mother of the Universe, I've failed to protect my children. In the next Yuga, when good and evil live within the humans, when there are so many sins. I'll be born at that time. I'll rectify all the mistakes and be born for a reason." she blessed and slowly disappeared.
"O, my lady, Śiva, I'll be forever grateful for this. Thank you so much." Vasudeva.

"Devaki and Vasudeva are my parents? You and I share the same parents?" my eyes started to well up with tears.
"Those two are my biological parents?"
"Why do I call you sister every time?" Kanha smiled. "You are this Krishna's sister, Dhakshayani. My blood runs in your veins too. We are siblings."
"That's why I look like her, Mata Sakthi?" I exclaimed.

"I'm you, you are me." I heard her voice.
A sudden rush of blood flow hit me.

"You were born in Kaliyuga, in a Durga temple under Kailasa. That's where people found you and put you in an orphanage. From where our foster parents found you and they adopted you." Kanha replied.
"That's why you took me to your youth and showed me your foster parents?"
"Our foster parents," he corrected.

"Devaki ma is my biological mother?" my tears welled up in my eyes while I gazed at her from a distance.
"I wish I could hug her. I want to cry on my mother's shoulder, Kanha."

"Go ahead, do it," he said.
"Is that possible? Can I do that?"
"Why not? That's the reason we came here."

Vasudeva took our Krishna and stepped out, while I stepped inside the prison room.

"Devaki ma," I called her out.
"Who are you, young lady?" she slowly rose.
"Ma, I'm your child. I was born in the Kali-yuga. I came here to see you, Mata."
"My child? You are my child?" she moved closer to me.
"Yes, Mata. I'm Dhaksha, your daughter. I travelled time to see you."
"Dhaksha? Dhakshayani?" she hugged me tight.
"Glory to Mata Durga, glory to her miracle."

"I finally found my biological parents, I finally felt relieved from the torment."
"Glory to you, Devaki ma. You're the reason why I was born, your prayer, devotion and dedication."
"You have the same face as her. The lotus face of Śiva herself." she cupped my cheeks.
"Don't you worry? Soon, your son will come and relieve you from this place."

"We have to leave, Dhaksha." I heard Kanha.
"It's time for me to leave, Mata. I don't want to leave you. But-"
"Go fulfil the reason you were born. Destroy the evil, my brave child," she replied.
"Bless me," I bowed to her.
"Ayushmaan Bhava." she blessed me. "I'm so happy to see you, Dhaksha."

"I don't want to leave, Kanha. Let me stay beside her. I want to feel her love. Everything happened so fast." I sobbed.
"Dhaksha, come here," he hugged.
"Everything's going to be alright." he pats on my head.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath in.

All of a sudden, I felt a strong cool breeze against me, the atmosphere around me changed. I broke the hug and opened my eyes to see...

To be continued..

What did Dhaksha see?
