Chapter-31| Amaravati
"Hold on to something," I ran towards him.
I used the tree's roots to support me and gave out my hand for him to hold. But I was not strong enough to pull him back up.
"Can you hold on to this root? Until I come. Don't leave this." I ran towards out.
"Aarya!! Bheem na!! Nakula-" I called out.
Arjuna's pov
"Aarya!!," I heard Dhaksha calling out for me.
"What happened to her?" Draupadi asked.
We rushed out to check up on her.
"What trouble did you get into today?" Bheem asked her.
"You have to rush..there is an old man..let's leave."
"What an old man?" I asked her.
"There is no time for this. Let's go." she dragged me.
"Bheem and team follow us."
She led us into the cave where an old man was hanging onto the root who was stuck in the quicksand.
"What are you staring at? Help him," she said.
"Let me help you too." Bheem Bhratta helped me.
We managed to pull him out within a few seconds.
"Are you alright, mister?" Dhaksha asked him.
"I'm fine, Devi. I'm grateful for your help. You've saved my life." he thanked us.
He appeared oddly familiar to me.
"You are bleeding," she replied.
"Let's take him to our hut. We'll heal him." Nakula said.
We took him to our hut and both my brothers healed him.
"Thank you so much, my dear. You've done enough to this old man," he said.
"Let us wash your feet. We must serve the tapasvis," Draupadi said.
"Let me do it, Sakhi."
She began to wash his feet while I was thinking about where have I seen him before.
"Enough, Dhaksha. You've already done enough for your father-in-law." he smiled.
"What?"
He transformed into his original form.
"Pitashree?" I smiled.
"Yes, my dear, Arjuna!" he smiled at me.
"Greetings, Lord Indradev," Draupadi greeted.
"Greetings, Devaraja," Dhaksha greeted him.
Dhaksha's pov
"O'my dear, son. I have heard many things about my daughter-in-law. I just want to them in person.," Lord Indra Dev smiled.
"Thank you so much, Draupadakanya for taking care of my son." he thanked.
"Don't thank me, my lord. It's my duty." she bowed her head down.
"O'my dear, Dhaksha. Is this true that Mahadev gave you his Aradhanareeshwara's Dharshana? Is it true that Mahadev chose my son to be your consort? My son's be privileged to serve you." he said
"Oh, my lord. I feel privileged that Arjuna chose me to be his spouse and fought for me in my Swayamvara. Why wouldn't Mahadev choose your son?" I bow my head down.
"I'd thank Duruyodhana for these 12 years of exile. Cause he has helped me to see the lords of the world."
"You have such a good heart like your brother. God bless you all," he replied.
"Now that I have visited I want you all to offer something to me," he asked.
"Lord Indradeva, we don't have anything to offer you." Yudhistran na replied.
"O'my dear Darmaputra. I'm seeking happiness, my dear son. I want you all to visit my city. I want to spend time with my son and my daughter-in-law too. That would make me happy," he replied.
"How can a mere mortal like us travel to your beautiful city, your Indralokha." Yudhistran na asked.
"Did he say Indralokha? Is the beautiful city of his? Is it Amaravati?"
"My dear, with the help of me, you can travel to the city. You all aren't mere mortals. You all are demigods and gods. Pandavas are the gifts from Lords of the world. Draupadi, you are born from the fire. Lastly, Dhaksha you are the incarnation of Mata Parvati. You are born sinless, thus you can visit my city," he replied.
"Lord Indradev, If you insist on us, why would we say no to you?" Yudhistran replied.
"Am I going to Indralokha?"
"Let's go," Lord Indra said.
