Abilities ~ Coal comes from a line of successful merchants and businessdragons that live in the BoulderWing abyss, so she has both their constant financial support and overprotective natures; it's well known in Refuge that her uncles Marble, literally sent in an assassin to kill her childhood bully. She is very observant and clever, easily tricking or pursued it dragons to follow her desires one way or another, this would be a wonderful talent to apply to other things besides getting her own way, but that hasn't been done yet. She can breath fire like all other BoulderWings and communicate in a language of high pitched whistles only BoulderWings can hear. However, her language is limited in this 'Whistle-Speak' as she doesn't attend a tribe funded school, she learns only from her parents.

Personality ~ Coal is manipulative and clever, she observes things around her with above average speed, but often is prone to misunderstanding things. She doesn't like doing dirty work, that's where her manipulation comes in- and an occasional secret guard sent from her wealthy kin- she is infamous for causing trouble by stemming problems through gullible dragons. Despite this, she tends to avoid using friends- which is quite a difficult endeavor, in fact, making friends is a whole level of difficult for her. Although she is manipulative, she often doesn't see past an emotional aspect of other dragons, and when she does, doesn't apply it to anything worth while. Anyway, in the case of making friends, she isn't particularly protective, in fact, she fears intervention from her family and often does her best to skirt away from them concerning her friends. Around such dragons, she LOVES to talk, if she considers you nonthreatening, she will talk and talk until eventually and inevitably, she says something she will regret. It takes someone with very thick skin to tolerate her and appreciate what she has to say. She isn't so much of a spoiled brat as a dragon who wants to come across that way, since she worries not being seen as popular, or rich or desirable downgrades her value as a dragon.

Backstory ~ Coal is born into a wealthy BoulderWing family, her father and mother move away from the closely knit, but overall dangerous area they call 'First Class'. Mostly under influence of her mother; Crumble, she and her father moved out to Refuge for some peace and quiet, if they could avoid all the street gangs. Moss works as a seaside merchant and often needs to leave home for months on end, it is mostly Crumble who raised the little dragonet. Despite their protective nature, her family in the Abyss still sent dragons to watch and report- a creepy but effective way of learning what she and her parents were up to. She attended the school in Refuge since she was four years old, and ended up becoming aquatinted with a dragon who will be spoken of in future Raffle result chapters. She grew to strongly dislike Scutum, but he was quite an easy dragon to manipulate until about age six, where they were no longer on speaking terms; since one of their classmates convinced Scutum that Coal was bad news. Around then, an assassin- presumably a scout sent by a relative, killed the classmate that had convinced Scutum to stop speaking with Coal. The young BoulderWing both gained horrible confidence in her wellbeing, and hate for her relatives because they interfered with her childhood.
