I'm back from the trip and I have survived the titanic!

Imma explain jokes because I'm that kind of geek
STORY TIME
SO
the camp was all about team building, Our 'squad' of about fifteen or so people were elected to do raft building by putting four plastic barrels together with rope and using wooden plants to hold it together. Once we finished, the three rafts and their company of four or three would get into the water and race to a certain point before turning back. The goal was to be first.
I personally felt very accomplished.

BUT YE
Because of privacy reasons, imma name the teammates after dragons.
First there was Mangerine (it's a thing), a green RainWing
Second was Narwilly, a light purple IceWing
Third was Blaziken, an orange SkyWing
And me, Algae, the blue-ish SeaWing.

Mangerine thought it would be funny to name our raft the 'Titanic' and win the race using the Titanic, The whole team thought it was hilarious and agreed. So we had finishing building and we were about to set off on our glorious vessel.

But as the poorly drawn picture shows below, our wood plants holding the raft together got stuck under another group's wood planks. Apparently theirs was better crafted because the back half of the Titanic lifted up into the air and dropped down, disconnected from the front, throwing me and Narwilly off the back. In the chaos, Blaziken fell off the front left.

Give up? I THINK NOT
The Whole idea of mine was to not get wet, but what was done was done, and I wasn't gonna mope around about it.
Since Mangerine hadn't fallen off and still had a paddle, we agreed that this was a two dragon operation and the other two went to the shore to mope about it falling apart.
Meanwhile, I swam behind the half raft and propelled it around the course while Mangerine paddled. Let me tell you, doggy-paddling while supporting half a vessel in a huge pond for nearly fifteen minutes straight was pretty hard X3 so I get some bragging rights.

Eventually, as the picture below shows, one group which included my brother and two other boys was getting in the lead, our Algae and one dragon paddle powered boat wasn't far behind.
BUT THOSE GOOD FOR NOTHING DRAGONS LOOKED BACK AT US
And thought it was a strategy
They though me falling off and pushing the raft was a strategy
So one of the boys jumped of their whole, not broken, in tact raft so they could push theirs too.
I think theirs was heavy enough that it didn't make much of a difference, but my group got....

Second place.
The third group was having drama and apparently didn't know how to use paddles.

It was pretty ironic, and the other dragons were good sports about it
