Prophecies Are Hard To Understand.

Cole pov

I slumped against the tree in intense thought. I stared up at the full moon and smiled. It felt odd and unusual, as I had not smiled for the entire day. I looked over at our camp and thanked Hephaestus and Hestia for allowing our fire to thrive healthily.

I looked at the tents. One for Magnus and Alex. One for Jessica and Ray. One for Leo(Valdez not Magnus' son Leo). One for Josh and Nemexa. One for me and Dez, but Dez was asleep without me, as I was sitting by the campfire. One for Halfborn and Mallory. One for Frank and Hazel. One for Percy and Annabeth. One for Jason and Piper. And one for Tj and Yvette. The others, sadly, had decided they shouldn't join the quest. DE8 was sleeping on a log by the fire, yet I could tell he wasn't asleep, as he was staring at the moon.

"Artemis is in her chariot." DE8 told me, "I took a selfie with her once."

"Seriously?" I asked.

"Nah," he said, "I just took a photo with the moon behind my face."

I laughed, then my smile evaporated and my thoughtful face returned.

Jessica came out and sat beside me, her electric blue eyes flickering. She looked at me. "What's wrong?" She asked.

"I'm trying to decipher that stupid prophecy." I told her.

"Which lines are freaking you out?" She asked.

"To bring back the fleece,
One must fight the first kings of kings of Greece.
Son of war battles the stars.
Opening the old ones scars.
The seven shall rise once again
To stop the wrath of the sky
And all of demigods could die.
The son of war fights til he can open no doors.
Along beside the mighty Norse.
Thunders call and wars sounding. Stopping bones from building.
The once high one shall fall or rise.
The sky once again either lives or dies." I recited.

"Isn't that the entire prophecy?" DE8 asked.

"Yep," I confirmed, "That entire prophecy freaks me out."

"I get that," Jess said, "Let's focus on something else. How about spells?"

We agreed this would be fun. We started with DE8 explaining how he'd died by magic then came back to life. Jess said something about lightning spells. Then we got to me...

"You what?!" A voice whisper-yelled from a tent. Percy stormed out of his tent in PJs. He grabbed my shirt collar and tried to lift me but failed.

"I took a dip in the River Styx." I said, "Why do you care?"

He looked troubled and sat on the ground. "I did that once. Big mistake. You become much more powerful. Invulnerable even. But you also get weaker. If you get hit the slightest bit in your Achilles spot, you're dead. Done. Gone."

I nodded. "I know. Now everyone go to sleep. We need it."

We all lay down and the last thought to cross my mind, before sleeps cold hand wrapped me in its icy embrace, was I need to cover my (this is unreadable due to it being Coles only weakness) better in battle...
