Alec's Pov

"Hey, Izzy. It's Jace. Is Alec awake yet?" Izzy glanced at a sleeping Alec. She turns around. "No, he's still sleeping any updates?" She whispered. Jace's voice tensed up over the phone. "Um, it's good that he didn't wake up. There's nothing here. We finished the first 2 locations, we're going to the last 2 in a bit."

Izzy's heart clenched. They were losing hope. She glanced over at a stirring Alec. "Jace. Gotta go." She ended the call and sat next to Alec. He was rubbing his eyes. "Hey." He mumbled. He jumped up as he had just remembered everything. "Oh god no! How long was I out?"

He asked panicking. Izzy quieted him down. "Doesn't matter. You needed the rest. You collapsed Alec." He shook his head violently. "Jace and Clary have already checked 2 locations." She brought him a glass of water. He harshly set it on the table. "And?" He mumbled. Izzy looked down. "Nothing yet. But we need to keep trying. Because that's what we do."

"Let's go, Izzy." Alec said, taking his jacket and walking out. Magnus felt the fangs. Of course, he had been bitten before, so it wasn't anything new. But Camille was different, as she sunk her teeth in and moaned every two seconds. She was drinking quite a bit.

Magnus knew the precautions. The venom would not be good for him, and his blood would be toxic for her. His blood would make Camille feel amazing, but at the rate, she was going, it might just kill her. He wanted to pull away, but he was tired.

He should have pulled away when he had the chance. He felt his eyelids getting heavier. His chest heaved slightly as she sinks in a little deeper. "Jace!" Alec yelled as he approached the couple. Clary looked scared and Jace's eyes didn't meet his.

Alec's heart lurched. "What's wrong?" He asked angrily. Jace looked up hesitantly. "It's uh about Magnus. He was here." Jace said softly. Alec's glare turned into a dark empty stare.
