The Battle Against A Keeper and Who She Saw

"Hindi pa nagtatapos ang lahat." I said with an unavoidable smirk on my face.

"Indeed. Mukhang ngayon seseryosohin mo narin sa wakas ang laban." Why did she make it sound na inaasahan niya ang mga pangyayaring ito?

Hinayaan ko siyang tumayo sa harapan ko at nagkatinginan ulit kami. She immediately swing her spear openly to my direction as I reflexively shifted myself to the left. Sinundan niya ang pag-iwas ko and once again slashed her weapon from below after that earlier attack. I moved backwards to avoid it pero may naghihintay na namang isang atake sa likuran ko. Mas mabilis na ngayon ang galaw niya.

I rolled backwards to stay slightly away from her reach tapos ay pinaikot na naman ang spear niya, then she stopped and pointed it to me after a few moments. What is she planning now?

Hindi ko nakita ang pagbuo ng yelo sa paligid ko, that I didn't even see her cast it. It just suddenlg appeared locking me like a cage in a circular shape, o hindi ko lang talaga ito napansin dahil sa sobrnag bilis ng pagkagawa niya. To be able to manipulate something that fast requires a lot of control, and as far as I know she uses many types of elements, and the fact that she controls all of it is amazing enough.

Well hindi naman siya sigurong tatawaging Spirit Keeper kung hindi siya ganoon kagaling, and I expect marami pa ang pwede niyang magawa. She's merely playing around with me. Pero gusto kong makalaban siya ng seryoso, the question is, will I be able to handle it then?

Ah a stupid question, Ke'ala. I'll never know unless I try. Unlike both of those girls, I'm not pretty confident. Pero ang lakas na dumadaloy sa akin ngayon, it's all I need to defeat this woman. In other words, it's not myself that I'm confident with, it's this power.

Oo at malakas nga ang yelong nakapaligid sa akin ngayon, slowly making me die out of cold. Pero dahil sa kakaibang apoy ko ay hindi ako nito basta-bastang naaapektohan. She must already know that pero ginawa niya parin ang atakeng ito, ibig sabibin ay may pinaplano siya. This thing only acts a decoy.

Kailangan niya ako sa plano niya, kaya hindi niya ako papatayin, pero kailangan niya rain akong pigilan na makaalis sa lugar na ito, so she at lest have to retain me or at least cut off my legs so that I can't walk. The thought enough gave me a shiver.

Think Ke'ala. I've always somehow managed to win every battles coming my way hindi dahil sa ability ko, dahil ito sa mga planong ginagawa ko sa utak ko. I could at least think of every ten possible moved in every second. Pero masyado akong nadala sa emosyon ko kanina na atake lang ako ng atake na wala manlang iniisip kung paano ko ba talaga siya tatalunin. Unlike the Iyana and Andrea, I don't have strong skills to devote all my energy to it and win. I devote my energy in thinking rather than taking risks.

Pero ngayon ay may kakayahan na akong suportahan ang lahat na imposibleng paraan na iniisip ng utak ko. I can utilize this power to make me even stronger. Excitement? Ha! There's no time to feel such a fleeting emotion Ke'ala, it only makes me reckless. I need to control my emotions.

Still, I can't help but smirk at every single attacks she give and I defend against, it makes me excited, blood rushing, heart racing, muscles tightening, ang pakiramdam na kaya kong gawin ang lahat lahat. And just imagining how I defeat her with all these moves and plans popping out in my head after every single thorough analysing, it made me want to crushed her more and more.

She was beautiful with her long blonde hair swaying through the direction of the breeze, both of her hands lifted each beside her. Sa mga kamay niya ay may nagliliwanag, sa kanan niya ay brown sa kaliwa naman ay pula. Ano na naman kaya ang binabalak niya?

"I control elements, at alam mo ito."

"So what's the point of telling me? Lahat ng nagawa mong atake ay hindi gumana laban sa akin."

"I can't say yours are effective at all as well." Tsk. Is she provoking me? "Well I'm telling you as a warning, surrender." My eyebrow lifted. She's seriously telling me to surrender?

Hindi na ako sumagot sa sinabi niya, and in return she sighed. Nilapit niya ang dalawang nagliliwanag niyang kamay sa isa't isa, at mas lumaki pa ang liwanag na ito. May bigla nalang nabuong malaking magic circle sa lupa, a mixture of red, brown, and purple.

Then slowly, something ascended from the ground, as if it penetrated out of the soil. Its two pairs of red glowing eyes were looking straight at me, as if it realised I was the traget. Hanggang sa nawala ang magic circle sa ilalim nito, and the creature stepped forward.

It was five time bigger than me, it looked like a black panther, ang pinagkaiba lamang nito ay alam kong gawa ito mismo sa lupa at bato, dalawa din ang ulo nito. They were three-layered linnings striped on their bodies like zebras, but the colours were crimson red.

Malalaki ang na ngipin ng halimaw na ito, and on their backs there were sword-like bones and its spinal cord were made in rocky spikes. Parang bumabaga ang mga paa ag mahabang buntot nito, and it let out a loud shriek enoigh to barely pierce my eardrums.

"Summoning?" I asked in wonder.

"I told you, I control elements. So creating something like that is a child's play. Ngayon Ke'ala, ano ang gagawin mo?"

The creature suddenly lounged forward, and the pair of sword-like bones on its back grew longer, pointing at me as it ran. Yumayanig ang lupa sa bawat galaw ng halimaw na ito, at dahil dito ay medyo mahirap umiwas o umalis sa posisyon ko, because I'll end up throwing myself off balance.

I was able to catch it because they were facing downwards. Hindi yata ito inaasahan ng halimaw and let out another shriek, anger. So these newly-created monsters possess emotions too huh? Kahit malaki man ito at mabilis, ay isang kamay lang ang kinakailangan para mapigilan ko ito.

It won't be considered a suicide if I myself knows I can handle it. It may be bigger, but it doesn't mean it's stronger. Malakinang enerhiyang nararamdaman ko sa halimaw na ito, at napangiti nalang ako dahil dito, because its energy isn't even enough to probabaly survive one attack from me.

Binuksan ng halimaw ang dalawang malalaking bunganga nito dahil dalawa ang ulo niya, then I could clearly see its insides. May bumubuong apoy mula sa loob, slowly making its way out of their elongated lungs. Fire won't—

"Heat, fuel, and oxygen. A reaction from these components are what makes a fire, and of course you know that. Pero tandaan mo, nakokontrol ko ang mga elements Ke'ala. In other words she changed the elements used in each components either enhancing it or decreasing its intensity value so that the fire could hurt me.

Bumuga ang isang halimaw ng apoy at mabilis namang lumiko ang ulo ko sa kabilang direction, tilting mg head slightly to the rigt. The fire breath managed to make a small scratch through my left cheek that almost reached mg lower left eye. Tumulo na naman ang dugo mula dito, but it only enhanced my excitement more with my eyes widening. Hindi ko inaasahan na masasaktan ako ng apoy.

No, it didn't really hurt. Talagang natamaan lang ako nito at naging isang sugat at dumugo, pero hindi ito masakit. She indeed changed the elements in each components and enhanced them, I bet she also added her own personal thoughts of elements and at the same time decreased its heat value kaya hindi ito masakit pero nasusugatan parin ako. It's as if I shut down my own sense of pain. If this continues, hindi ko alam kung saan na pala ako natamaan.

Another flame blew right up my face, pero mabuti nalang at mabilis gumalaw ang isa kong malayang kamay para maharangan ang mukha ko, in exchanged though, my left hand was bleeding too much na parang wasak na wasak ito, but as expected, I don't sense any pain from this flame. "Fight me for real, Spirit Keeper." Pinaglalaruan niya lang ako simula nung una palang. Natawa siya sa sinabi ko pero walang ginawa.

Sa inis ko ay tumalon ako ng mataas sa hangin, then just before I landed back to the ground, a giant phoenix made of fire caught me. Tumayo ako sa likuran nito as it screeched through the skies, circling around the Spirit Keeper. Giant balls of electricity and flames dominated the skies, they one by one appeared above us, almost covering the night.

In one single swift motion of my finger, all those balls of electricity and flames descended, hitting the ground in an abnormal speed and athough their aims were a bit off, walang ni isang halimaw parin ang nakatakas sa mga atakeng ito. I could hear the roars of anger echoing as each of them burn under my sight. Mukhang hindi natutuwa si Lunox sa nakikita niya dahil siguro kahit mga halimaw lang sila ay para sa kaniya its like giving a life just for it to be taken away from them so easily must be irritating.

It didn't even take her a minute to extinguish the flame added by the explosions and power of electricity, it should be hard to do so, pero para sa kaniya ay madali lang ito. Water suddenly appeared out of nowhere from the soil, it filled the entire, or half, of the floating island. Na matapos ang ilang minuto ay parang naging isang dagat na ang makikita ko sa ilalim. All those pointy and steep mountains from earlier seem to become just rocks floating up the surface. And of course, at the middle of this this sea, there's still Etherion, standing, its height never changed.

Most importantly, she just basically created that water from scratch, since her magic allows her to use elements, its probabaly because of how she enhances the the nurtients of the soil and force them to extract water, dahil narin sa mga nakakalat na enerhiya papunta sa Etherion.

The fire phoenix shrieked below me, and stopped its circular motion. Nararamdaman ko ang emosyon niya, he's being cautious not to fall. May isipan ang fire phoenix na ito, ibig sabihin ay hindi lang siya basta-bastang creature na ginawa ko dahil sa apoy. Since my flame is a bit different from normal, the fire phoenix I created was more alive than usual.

At may pakiramdam ako na ginawa ni Lunox ang tubig sa ilalim dahil alam niyang mataas ang advantage ko sa electricity at fire, its like cutting off my chances of winning. No matter, kailangan ko lang mag-isip, and its not that they're the only chances I have of winning.

Probably tired of waiting, umilaw na naman ang isang kamay niya at may lumabas na isa pang magic circle sa ilalim ng mga paa niya. The magic circle grew wider and wider dahil sa laki ng enerhiyang pinapalabas niya. My heart raced in anticipation. She's creating another monster, isn't she?

At tama nga ang iniisip ko. May kung anong bagay ang nahulog sa magic cirle na ito, falling deep into the water. The huge splashes of the sea even almost reached our height that the phoenix had to fly even higher not to get caught up with it. Pero wala akong nakikitang halimaw, it certainly huge to be able to cause that kind of splash. Mula dito sa itaas ay nakikita ko anv mahabang pigura ma umiikot-ikot sa ilalim ng tubig, hindi ko lang alam kung ano ito but I at least have some thoughts about its appearance.

"I'm not used at fighting in a close quarter combat Ke'ala, siguradong napapansin mo ito." She said with her eyes only following the figure underwater.

True. Even if she's strong and fast, I feel like she's forcing her movements at hindi ito lumalabas reflexively, so I concluded she isn't used to it. Well a Spirit Keeper living in peace for thousands of years, of course that'd be the case. Nung unang beses na may nakalaban ako, I admit that my movements are predictable and a bit sloppy, but I changed back then.

Probably because of my experience? For almost a year, I've been in several missions and battles, but still, I feel like I'm incredibly lacking something. Will I figure what's missing and this turmoil feeling inside me if I managed to defeat this Spirit Keeper? I sighed, expatriated. I feel like I could do so much more than this...yet I still can't figure out what exactly should it be.

"So you're using your magic instead." Sagot ko kahit alam ko namang hindi na kailangan.

Sumugod siya mismo sa akin despite what she had just said, at kahit hindi ko ito inaasahan ay mabilis paring umiwas ang sinasakyan kong apoy na phoenix. It let out a shriek almost telling me to be careful. Lumipad ulit siya papunta sa akin, her spear poiting straight at me. The phoenix shifted to the right pero natamaan ito ng spear sa may tiyan.

I clicked my tongue after I noticed my own fire phoenix slowly disappearing, may nabubuo kasing yelo sa banda ng tama niya sa tiyan. I jumped off it before shards of ice which engulfed the phoenix blasted in different directions. Naramdaman ko agad ang paggamit ng hangin niya para mapabilis ang paghulog ko, and before I could even make another fire phoenox, ay nahulog na ako sa tubig.

All of these only happened in such a few moments, mabilis lang talaga kasi ang mga galaw namin. The water was cold as ice when my body hit it, at habang nasa ilalim ako ng tubig ay may nakita akong dalawang piraso na mata na nakatututok sa akin. Its huge mouth rushed into an open as it swam and I immediately surfaced above para maiwasan makain ng halimaw.

Its red eyes glaring from above and as soon as its huge mouth opened into an angry roar, the skies before him broke into a lightning.

Sumabay talaga ang tunog nito sa sigaw niya. Plus the wind has become thicker and stronger, ang kaninang magandang kalangitan ay napalitan ng maiitim na ulap na nagdala ng ulan. Then there was Lunox who can be seen still floating freely on the air, her smile was still visible.

"Her power of elements really is something.." I muttered under my panting breath.

Tinutok sa akin ng sea serpent ang bunganga niya at dahil sa laki nito ay mahirap umiwas, kaya gumawa ako ng malaking barrier gawa sa kuryente. Its fangs met my electric barrier as it let out another roar. Hindi siya tumigil sa pagkagat ng barrier ko hanggang sa masira ito, kaya mas pinalakas ko pa ang barrier at dahil dito ay mas lumaki ito.

"Minamaliit mo naman yata ako masyado." Bulong ko sa sarili ko.

I have the all the energy I want at my disposal, did she really think she had me just by creating that monster? I thought all of her possible moves, kaya isa na ito sa inaasahan ko, ang hindi ko lang inaasahan ay isang sea serpent pala ang gagawin niya.

I raised both of my arms, and later they glowed in blue electricity. I poured almost all of my energy to create another monster. Kung kaya kong gumawa ng fire phoenix, why can't do so using my electricity? Pero ngayon ay hindi phoenix ang gagawin ko. After few moments, I closed my fists to immediately cut my energy off.

Suddenly, the sea shook. Yumanig ito ng sobrang lakas na nagkaroon ng malalaking alon. Before another wave crush me down, something grabbed my waist at inangat ako sa tubig. "Another sea serpent huh?" Lunox said behind me.

Right, what I created was another sea serpent just like hers. Ang magkaiba lang ay gawa sa kuryente ang sa akin. Its whole body was made and was releasing electric voltage all over its body. Its eyes were glowing in blue, while its whole body were coloured in dark blue lights.

Dahil sa kuryente nito ay pati ang tubig ay naaapektohan narin that the enemy serpent's attacks were limited. Hindi siya gaano kalapit dahil mismo sa kuryente sa buong katawan ng serpent ko, so unless the enemy had a long range attack—ah, he did.

Nay lumabas na green gasses mula sa bunganga ng kalaban that my own serpent gad to dodge it. Napansin ko na kakaiba ang gasses na ito, its one of those toxic gasses that immobilise anyone from moving. Masasabi ko dahil sa bigla na lamang hindi nakagalaw ang serpent ko dahil kahit iniwasan niya ito ay kumalat parin ang gasses.

I urged the fire phoenix to move higher at ganoon din ang ginawa ni Lunox, so ever she will get affected by it. Napatigin ulit ako sa ibaba, everything was covered in green gasses at patuloy parin ang patak ng ulan. Even so, I could tell the movements from below dahil sa mga nagliliwanag na kuryente. Despite their roars, the sound of thunders are still dominating.

Hindi ko alam kung bakit pero bigla na lamang lumipad sa kaliwa ang phoenix that I almost lost my grip. I looked at the figure meters in front holding a spear, she almost hit me again. Hindi ko siya napansin, when did she get there? Dahil siguro sa lakas ng mga enerhiyang nakapaligid sa akin ngayon ay mahirap nang matunton kung kay sino at kung saan nangangaling ang mga ito.

"I didn't think you could do something like creating your own monster. It certainly is amusing watching you do unexpected things." She broke her spear into two using her knee at bumalik ito sa dating weapons niya, two blades, one in each of her hands. "Pero ano ngaba ang magagawa mo Ke'ala? I could use all the elements I wnat while you can only use electrcitiy and fire. Their levels are certainly stronger than others, but do you really think those will suffice if you wish to defeat me?"

Of course I knew that! I knew that from the very beginning, and I understood the fact that they won't be enough at all. Pero may nakakalimutan siya, something that I can do. Simula nung una, I've been focusing myself tp gather her energy, in other words, her emotions. I have an overwhelmingly hige disadvantage, but I coud turn things around the moment I find the exact time to use it. For now, sinisigurado ko lang na may malaki akong enerhiya para tapatan ang sa kaniya.

"My serpent wasn't made just to divert your monster's attention from me." She lifted her eyebrow, totally unaware of what I meant. I smirked, ah this excitement and anticipation. "It was made to eat your serpent's energy." Her eyes widened for a moment, finally realising what I meant.

I used the oppurtunity to make five more giant fire phoenix sa isang galaw lang ng kamay ko, my body's filled with too much energy right now that even if I make tens of them, it won't reduce that much, and that's why I was able to gather energy so fast to make them.

All of my fire phoenix lounged to her from all directions, surrounding her. Napapansin niya na siguro na hindi lang sila normal na fire pheonix, because their outer body layers are made with electrical armour that attacks like ice and water are totally negated. Gumawa siya ng barrier na gawa sa hangin na kahit tumira pa sila ng apoy ay natitilapon lang ang nga ito sa kung saan.

Nagpatuloy lang ng ilang minuto ang atake sa kaniya at wala siyang magagwa dito so she focused on pouring her energy at her serpent underneath, still covered in gasses. Ramdam ko ang mabilis na pagdaloy ng enerhiya sa hangin dahil sa ginagawa niya that my own monsters couldn't help but absorb them. Dahil nga sa kakaiba ang mga nagagas kong monsters, like me they can't help bur absorb energy running all around them, dahil narin sa kakibang dugo ko.

"I got you." Bulong ko habang tinaas ko na naman ang kamay ko tapos ay isinira ito.

"Curses." Narinig ko ang bulong niya, realising her mistakes as she immediately stopped the flow of her energy, pero huli na siya. Before she could do anything, I cut off her links and directed it to my serpent instead.

Dahil sa dumagdag na enerhiya, my sea serpent erased all the green gasses by spreading its electricity everywhere. While moving as fast as a lightning, pinalibutan niya ahg kalaban, its long snake-like body encircling the enemy, until it completely immobilised its opponent. Bumuga ng kuryente mula sa bunganga niya ang serpent ko directing it to the latter's huge mouth also trying to let out another gasses. Pero naunahan siya ng halimaw ko and electricity now flow from its body, then finally, it burned into ashes.

It swam back underwater after letting out a triumph scream joined by my phoenix. Looking back at Lunox, nagulat siya mga nakita niya. Then, her soft expression suddenly changed. Her docile eyes were now glaring at me, her beautiful smile from earlier was replaced by a smirk as her eyebrows furrowed. I made her angry, didn't I?

"You're persistent, I'm going to teach you a lesson." In one snap, all of my creatures suddenly disappeared.

Mas bumigat ang aura sa paligid ngayon dahil lang sa umiba ang mood niya. For someone who can control all of the elements, surely erasing mg fire phoenix and electric sea serpent are nothing but sweeping for her.

But as expected of a Spirit Keeper, kakaiba talaga ang lakas niya. It makes me wonder, kung ganoon talaga siya kalakas ay bakit sa una palang hindi niya na pinakita sa akin yun? I knew it, she's underestimating me. Despite the fact that she needs me for her Etherion plans, sa harapan niya ay mahina parin talaga ako.

Bago pa man mawala ang sinasakyan kong phoenix, I used air to keep me floating through the air like her. She's probabaly wondering on how can I use air, iyan ang nakalimutan niya. My ability allows me to absorb emotions and through those carried emotions are filled with energy.

From the beginning, I did nothing but absorb those emotions from her, all those anticipation, wonders, amazement, amusement, and now anger. Tinipon ko ang lahat ng iyoj sa una palang, and now that it has come to this I have no choice but to use it earlier as possible. In other words, I can use her own magic against her.

Summoning my swords, umatake siya sa akin gamit ang dalawang espada niya, and knce again, we were enganed in almost endless battle of swords while still on the air. Ginamit niya ang ice spikes niya para matamaan ako mula sa ere havang umaatake parin. I countered all of those pointy ice with my own ice daggers. Natamaan siya sa kanan niyang braso ng isa kong espada, but that wasn't enough to make her retreat.

Bigla nalang umiba ang pattern niya sa pakikipaglaban at sinipa ako pailalim ng paa niya mula sa likod ko. I hissed in another batch of pain as she once again hit a bone from my back. Even though I can heal myself now, pain is still pain!

Kahit masakit ay mabilis kong nilibot ang katawan ko to do another counterattack by kicling her side. Natamaan nga siya at napaatras but it's still wasn't enough. Sa inis ko ay sumugod ako sa kaniya, but this time, I turned my weapon by putting them together into a spear, nung katulad sa weapon noya kanina. It took her off guard kaya natamaan na naman siya, this time I managed to hit her chest.

I saw her lifting her hand feom below which was carrying a blade para matamaan ako. Sa posisyon ko ngayon ay mahihirapan akong makaiwas dito or neither can I block it. Ah it's going to be my end if I get hit by that attack, wala na akong magagawa dito. I braced my body for another pain, pero walang dumating. I saw her eyes widening as if shocked for a few seconds as she stopped her movements.

Bago pa man siya makagawa ng isa pang barrier ay tinutok ko ang enerhiya sa kanan kong kamay. My right fist was surrounded by rocks hanggang sa lumaki ito and finally releasing that momentum, I hit her stomach so hard na napasuka siya ng dugo before she fell to the sea below her.

I erased all the waters from the ground pouring my energy durectky to my palm then closed it na wala nang natira matapos ang ilang segundo para hindi na siya makarecover pa.
