S-Class

Natsu, Happy, Lucy, Gray, Gajeel, Levy, Pantherlily, and I were sitting at a table in the middle of the Guild Hall.
The loud Guild Hall, I might add. A smile pulled at my lips as I watched my Guild Mates stumble around, laughing drunkly, while throwing half hearted punches. Already there were sleeping bodies littered around the floor, some were on their way to face planting like the others.

I shook my head, my fingers circling around the fresh Symbol on my chest.
I couldn't stop touching my Guild Mark. It was still the same color, inky black, but now electric blue outlined the Mark. Now it was above my heart.

I couldn't get rid of the light feeling that made my heart soar.

We were all talking and laughing.
It felt amazing to laugh.
To release all the darkness that swirled and snapped inside of me. However, when I laughed, the light that filled my chest, killed the darkness that had made its home there. I knew it wouldn't be back for a while. Well, until all my reasons to laugh no longer existed.

My eyes automatically went to the source of my light.
The darkness ebbed away a little more.

I was sitting in the middle between Natsu and Levy. I had told them, (almost everything), of what happened to me. I had already told Natsu everything, but I didn't really plan on telling anyone else. Why should I let my heavy past rest on other's shoulders?
It was all for me to bear anyway.

I felt eyes on me.

Levy was looking at me with nervousness and excitement dancing in her bright eyes.

"Alright, Levs, what is it?" I asked her with amusement clear in my voice. Never had I seen her like this. Well, maybe when she gets a new book. But this was a whole new level of excitement.

"You haven't told her yet!" Lucy said in disbelief, her brown eyes strained on her friend. Now I was really curious. From beside Levy, Gajeel let out a groan, and crossed his scarred arms as he leaned back. On top of the table, Pantherlily smirked. "Oh, how I love this story, don't you, Gajeel?" Gajeel shot a glare at his Exceed, "Shut it, cat." Lily chuckled as his Dragon Slayer glared at him.

Curiosity spiked in me. As I watched Levy, she suddenly put her hand in my face. My hand flashed up and wrapped around her bony wrist. My muscles locked up, my eyes flashed, waiting for her next move to hit- Something flashed brightly in my eyes. "W-what-" My mouth snapped shut when I saw her finger...her ring finger. Levy had a glistening ring on her finger.

It was a simple ring. From what I could see, the band itself was made out of a strong metal. The metal was engraved with small books dotting the outside of the ring. In the center of the ring, a glistening diamond that shown brightly, was placed there. It shined blue, onyx, crimson, and orange.
Their colors.

Words failed me as I looked at Levs again. Her smile overtook her face.
"What? When? Where? How? Why?" I wasn't even sure if I could even speak correctly at that moment. The words were jumbled and incoherent. Levy and Lucy laughed at my response as the boys snickered behind their hands. I had half a mind to knock them on their asses.
See who's laughing then.

Gajeel looked like he was about to die.
His face was pale, lines appeared on his face, and I could faintly see the white of his soul peaking out.

I was missing something.

"What am I missing?" I asked as I eyed them all. Levy stopped laughing long enough to tell me. Much to the Iron Mage's dismay. She began telling me the story of how this had all happened.

Gajeel had spent months constructing and making the ring for Levy. When it was finished, he had decided to pop the question at the local library where Levy was. They had been together for about three years then. They had started after about a year after my...'death'.

So, when Gajeel got to the library with Pantherlily, he saw his Shrimp, he almost passed out. This bit of the sorry had me laughing so hard, that Levy had to stop the story to let me breath. Gajeel had Lily go and grab a rather big book for him. He put the ring in that book and told his cat to give it to Levs.

So, when she opened up the book, there was a little surprise in there for her. I thought it was the sweetest thing known to man. I placed my elbows on the table and batted my eyelashes at the grumpy Slayer. "Awwwww, I knew you were always a big teddy bear." Or Dragon.

He 'tched' and looked away, which caused the whole table to howl with laughter. A thought struck me that instantly made me stop smiling. I turned to Levy, "Did I miss the wedding?" Panic ate away at me, I didn't want to miss my friend's wedding. Levy stopped and she gave me such a bright smile I thought the whole Guild would light up.

"No, you didn't, Fey-chan. It's planned for next month!" She clapped her hands together excitedly, "You came back just in time!" My face broke out into a wide grin, "Yay, I guess I did, Levs."

Erza showed up at our table a few hours later. After she had picked me up and slammed my face into her metal armor in a 'hug', she sat down with us.

"Where were you?" Gray asked her as I took a sip of my drink. Erza looked at him and said simple, "Kissing Jellal goodnight."

I nearly did a spit take all over Erza...that wouldn't have ended to well for me...and maybe the whole Guild.

"Wait a minute! You can't just skip over that!" I yelled at her. Natsu rolled his dark eyes and muttered something that I couldn't hear. "What was that, Natsu?" Erza said in that dark voice that only she can do.

"N-nothing!" Natsu said as Happy spoke up.

"He said that he doesn't want to hear this story again."

Erza went deadly silent, Gray was visibly holding his breath, Levy and Lucy were sweat dropping, while Gajeel was smirking. Natsu was shaking and I sucked in a sharp breath, ready to jump over the counter and grab a strawberry cake to calm her down.

Erza's hair was covering her eyes from view and she still hadn't moved. Then she slowly opened her mouth and we all tensed for the explosion.

"Your right, Natsu." I almost passed out along with everyone else at the table. That was not what I was expecting at all.

"Well, I'm disappointed." Gajeel muttered as he crossed his arms.
"What?!" Natsu yelled as he slammed his hands down on the table.
"I wanted ya to get punched." Gajeel said as he closed his eyes.

"Here they go again..." Gray sighed out and Levy puffed out her cheeks as she shook her head.

"What if you're the one who gets punched instead?!" Natsu threatened with a tilt of his head.

"Gi hi hi, bring it then, Salamander." He said opening up one red eye.

Natsu was about two seconds away from jumping on top of the damn table when Erza suddenly stood up. "Don't make me pull out my swords, boys." She told them as a dark aura surrounded her. Now, that was the Erza we all knew and loved.
The scary as hell one.

The Fire Mage immediately settled back into his seat and Gajeel did too. Now, it was my turn to be a little disappointed. I kind of wanted to see them battle it out...so then I could join in. Oh well, there will be plenty of other opportunities.
Knowing those two, there would be another brawl soon.

"I can't believe that even though you're both S-Class Wizards, you two still act like this!" Lucy yelled at them both, making them both sweatdrop.

My eyes widened as I looked at Natsu. He...he was an S-Class Wizard now?
S-Class?
My stomach sank as did my heart. Bile rose up in my throat, my eyes began to ache.
I had missed it.

I sucked in a shaky breath as Natsu and Gajeel glared at one another.
Throwing back insult after insult at one another. My ears were deaf to it. Levy noticed my shaky breathing and put a hand on my shoulder. "Fey-chan, what's wrong?" I glanced at her and put on a fake smile even as tears started to slide down my face. "I missed so much...Levs." My voice broke off half way. Natsu and the others stopped to see what was going on.

"Oh, Fey-chan..." Levy muttered sadly as tears formed in her eyes.
She always hated it when others were sad. The small Mage hugged me tightly and I hugged her back just as tightly. "Fey," I heard Natsu mutter, his voice was laced with worry and sadness, "Its not a big deal..." With my arm still wrapped tightly around Levs, I reached out blindly with my free hand. My hand brushed against his arm and I latched on. I brought him closer to me and then I was holding them both.

Just let me hold them.

"Its a big deal to me, Natsu." I whispered in his ear as tears continued to fall from my eyes.
"It means everything to me." I told him softly as I pulled back a little to look into his eyes. "I'm so happy for you." He paused for a moment, then his face broke out into a big smile, and he wrapped his arms around me. He buried his face into my hair and muttered, "I missed you, Fey."

"I missed you too, Natsu."
More then you will ever know.

"You what?!" I shouted, only to laugh right after. The Fire Dragon Slayer looked away as the whole table busted out laughing. "I can't believe that you destroyed several buildings!" I choked out as I gasped for air. "What were you aiming for?!"

"...They kept moving around..." Was his quiet reply.

"Of course they were moving around, you baka! Nobody wants to get hit by your flames!" Gray said as he laughed, nearly falling out of his chair.

Natsu narrowed his eyes at the Ice Mage and muttered darkly, "I'm about to light you on fire." Gray smirked, his eyes filled with challenge, "Bring it."

I shook my head with a sigh, "Nothing's changed between you two since I've been gone." Natsu's body tensed and his eyes dimmed a little. "A lots changed..." He muttered.

The table went silent for a moment. Without meaning too my eyes darted to the scar that crisscrossed down his face. I closed my eyes and looked down. I played with my fingers as I stared at a spot on the table. "Fey-" Natsu started but was cut off by a very drunk Gramps.

"My"-hiccup-"brats! There...ya are!" He slurred as he tried to climb on top of the table. "Umm, Master, perhaps you should quit drinking now." Lucy said as a droplet of sweat dripped down her temple. Gramps was finally able to get up on the table and when he did, he turned his red face to the Holder Mage. "Ya...don' know...nothin!" He said as he waved his drink in his hand, which caused some of the brown liquid to slosh over the side.

I put a hand to my mouth to stifle my laughter. He must have heard me, because he turned to me and waved the drink at me angrily. Small droplets landed on me and I put my hands up in front of me.

"Gramps, go home, you are drunk!" I chuckled out. He shook his head and gave me a hurt look. "I ain't drunk! I can...," he swayed. "...count my...ABC's..." He staggered and fell flat onto his back on the table.
I laughed and shook my head just as Cana yelled, "I win!" Then I heard a loud thump as she passed out too.

I sure did miss this Guild.

"You will be back tomorrow, right? This...this isn't just some crazy dream that I'm having, right?" Levy hurriedly said as she hugged me tighter to her. I ran my fingers through her soft hair and closed my eyes.

"You don't have to worry, Levs, you will see me again. Promise."

Sorry.

Natsu came up to my side and dropped an arm around my shoulders. He smiled at me then grabbed Lucy, who grabbed Loke, who had appeared to give Lucy some roses. Then Erza and Gray came over. Levy looked over her shoulder and motioned for Gajeel to come over.

Before he could get away, Pantherlily-who was now in his Warrior Form-grabbed Gajeel, and then they both joined us. Happy flew over and landed on top of my head. With me in the middle, still holding Levs, we all threw our arms over each other's shoulders and hugged each other tight.

A silent promise was made in that moment. That we would see each other once again. That we would all come back to each other. That our bond would never be severed. No matter how many dark forces came our way, we would always defeat them. Why?
The answer was quite simple.
We are a family.
We are Fairy Tail!

I have my family back...
