Not My Body

I woke up with a groan and rolled out of bed. I turned to head into my bathroom and my shoulder banged into the door's side. I winced and rolled my shoulder.

That had never happened before.

I stumbled into my bathroom and placed my hands near the sink. I was strangely hot for some reason. I really hoped I wasn't getting sick. I pried open my eyes and looked into the mirror. I'm pretty sure my heart stopped.

The person in the mirror was not me. But...Natsu was staring back at me. My-his-mouth was half open with shock. I slammed my/his hands onto his face. "What the hell." His deep voice echoed in my bathroom.

I brought his hands down his face and stared at his reflection in the mirror. His mouth was still hanging open and I narrowed my eyes at his teeth. I blinked and brought up my/his hand. I poked one of Natsu's sharpened teeth.

Cool.

I closed Natsu's mouth and looked at his hair. I brought up his hands and ran them through his spiky pink hair. Soft. I blinked and dropped my/his hands. His spiky hair flew back into place. I laughed and instead of hearing my soft laugh, I was taken aback, when a deep laugh escaped me.

I sucked in a sharp breath and studied my/his reflection. It was only then that I noticed that I/he was shirtless. I let out a shriek and it sounded strange coming from Natsu's mouth.

I crossed my/his arms across his chest and stared at his rock hard stomach. I paused for a moment and slowly lowered his arms. I studied his body in the mirror.

Damn, Natsu was all muscle.

There wasn't a soft spot on him. I looked at his stomach in the mirror and took a quick breath. I opened the palm of his hand and placed it flat on his stomach. It sent shivers up his spine. Oh god...I was checking myself out. Or was I checking him out...? Shit.

This was too confusing for me. And if it was confusing for me, how was Natsu handling the new body change? I froze. Natsu. Me. My body. His body. Natsu was inside my body. Natsu Dragneel was inside my body.

"Oh for the love of Dragons!" I screamed, turned around, and rammed into the bathroom wall. I had missed the door by a few inches. I shook my head and I bolted out of the bathroom. I looked around for anything that I could wear that would actually fit my new body.

I shouted in victory when I saw a black T-shirt that I sometimes wore to bed. The size was a medium, it would have to do, with a tug I put it on. It was a little tight fitting and it showed off all of his muscles. Eh, didn't bother me. I was about to leave when I noticed something white peeking out of my covers.

I went over and grabbed it.

It was Natsu's scarf. I wrapped it around my neck and was out the door.

It was strange.

Being in Natsu's body. For one thing his stomach wouldn't stop growling and it was bothering the hell outta me! I started to smell things too. I could smell the Guild even though I was not even halfway there yet.

Natsu's eyes and ears were far better than my own. I could see things from far away and I could also hear things that I would never have heard ever before. Walking was a little awkward at first but after a moment I got used to my new body.

It was strange because as I was walking down the sidewalk some people waved hello to me as I passed. Some even called out his name or nickname, Salamander.

Natsu was quite well known around the town and to the people. Suddenly a little boy with short brown hair came running towards me. My body tensed up automatically. The little boy stopped a couple of inches away from me and smiled up at me with a toothy smile.

I had no idea what to do. What would Natsu do? Probably something stupid. "Umm...can I help you?" I asked the boy. The boy shook his head and said, "I just wanted to thank you again!"

Uh-huh. What did Natsu do to help this boy? As I racked my brain for something to say the boy continued. "I thought my sister would leave me if it wasn't for you helping me and her. Arigato for saving us." Without warning he wrapped his small arms around Natsu's/my leg.

"When I grow up I'm gonna be a Fairy Tail Wizard. Just like you." With that he broke away from me and with one last smile he ran away.

I stood there while my heart did something funny in my chest. I rubbed my/Natsu's chest and smiled as I continued to walk toward the Guild. It warmed my heart to know how much Natsu helped and changed lives.

After a couple of minutes of walking I came to the Guild. I wretched open the double doors and to my horror, the wooden door handle to one of the doors, broke off in my hand. Holy, I had no idea how strong I was yet.

I dropped the handle and stalked inside. My Guild Mates were all here. But they didn't notice me as I quietly breezed by. I quickly looked around the Guild and silently cursed when I didn't see...well; me.

I was about to head to Mira or Levy when there was a shout from behind me. "Oi, Ash-Brain!" I tensed, Gray. I turned around, Natsu's scarf swinging around my neck, and over his shoulder as I turned to face Gray. He was smirking at me and of course, he was only in his boxers.

"Why don't we pick up where we left off?" Great. Just what I needed. I barely looked over my shoulder at him, "I don't have time for you." Natsu's deep voice was cold and distant.

Is that what I sounded like most of the time?

Gray blinked, obviously not expecting that answer. But then he smiled and crossed his arms over his naked chest. "What? Are you afraid, Hot Pocket?" My/Natsu's eyes darted to Gray's and I could feel my eyes narrowing.

Did he just call me what I think he just called me?

A food?

He called me a damn food...?

Ohhh, it was so on.

What would Natsu say? "I'm all fired up." I muttered. Gray scowled, "Speak up, Dragon Breath!"

I looked at Gray and crossed my arms over my chest. My blood began to boil and I felt my skin growing hot. Our eyes locked and I smirked. When I opened my/his mouth steam poured out. "I said, Ice Stripper, that I'm all fired up."

Author's Note: Freya is now somehow stuck in Natsu's body. (Which, I must say, is not bad...heheh not bad at all...) How did this happen? Now Freya is about to fight Gray! Let's see just how well Freya can adapt to her new (very fine) body
