Chapter 8
As Teresa moved her head side to side, Lion licked her cheek in an attempt to wake her up.
Teresa moved her head to the other side again, but Lion didn't give up and continues to lick her cheek until finally, she wake up.
Still feeling sleepy, Teresa scratched behind Lion's ear as she looked around the room.
Scott was on his bed, but Teresa was unsure if he was awake because of his concussion beams that doesn't allow anyone to see his eyes.
As Teresa continued to stare at Scott, she started to pity him.
Teresa hadn't slept with glasses before, but she was very sure that it must've been uncomfortable. Scott has to either sleep with his concussion beams on or take it off and fear that he might hurt someone. That's why Scott always choose the first option. He didn't want to hurt anyone and with Teresa as his room mate, he was sure that it would impact her greatly.
That might be one of the reasons to why Scott allowed Teresa to let Lion into their room.
There was one time when Scott's concussion beams had fallen off when he was asleep. This went noticed by Lion and he immediately woke Teresa up, who placed the concussion beams back to where they should be.
Teresa's action went noticed by Scott, but he didn't say anything and continued to pretend like he was asleep. Though, Teresa secretly knows that he was pretending, she also didn't say anything, knowing that Scott might get embarrassed about it.
Lion hopped onto Scott's bed, waking him up. He groaned and tries to go back to sleep.
"You look awful," Teresa remarked, seeing his face. "The bruises on your face looks worse than yesterday."
"I don't wanna talk about it," Scott said, his voice muffled by his pillow.
"Feeling embarrassed, aren't you?" Teresa stretched her arms.
Scott didn't respond and she sighed, knowing that he had fallen back to sleep.
"What was he doing with Warren last night that made him very tired?" Teresa asked herself as Lion nudged her arm, indicating that he wanted to go outside.
It was Teresa's turn to groan, but she followed his need and went outside of the school to see Sofia under a tree.
"What are you doing here?" Sofia's eyes fixed on Teresa's as she realized it was her. "Shouldn't you get your breakfast first before going outside and play?"
"I'm not even playing," was Sofia's short reply.
"Still," Teresa started. "you need to have some food in your stomach to get energy."
"I'm just enjoying the weather," Sofia said. "Ms. Jane said that we have to stay under the sun for a couple of minutes in the morning."
"That's true, but I don't see how you're staying under the sun when you're under a tree." Teresa remarked.
Sofia pouted. "You got me there,"
"So, why don't you go and get some breakfast in the kitchen?" She inquired.
"It was crowded there and I didn't want to wait in line to get my meal," Sofia answered. "I figured that if I wait for around twenty minutes, the line would not be as long as it was before."
"That's where you're wrong," Teresa smiled. "More students are going to wake up and the cue will just get longer by the minute. It's usually less crowded in the morning."
Sofia's eyes widen. "Then what are we waiting for?!"
She stood up. "Let's go to the kitchen right now before the cue gets longer!"
Teresa smiled again as she shook her head. "You go first, I'll catch up with you later."

"Come on, Lion." Teresa said as she placed the bowl in front of her pet. "I had bought your favourite food, fried chicken."
Lion steadily accepted the meal as he started to eat it.
Teresa lied back on her bed as she waited for Lion to finish his food, since he wouldn't let her leave the room for some reasons.
After Lion finished his food, he nudged Teresa with his snout and left the room, but walked back when he realized that she wasn't following him.
"You want me to follow you, buddy?" Teresa asked as he left the room, seemingly trying to tell her that she was correct.
After a few minutes of following Lion, Teresa frowned and began to think that he just wanted to go for a walk with her, but that idea was quickly dismissed when the wolf had pulled out a white rose from behind a tree, along with an envelope.
With reluctance, Teresa took the letter and read it.
"I think your pet had memorized my scent when he smelt it on the white rose I gave you. Nonetheless, I have to admit that Lion is a remarkable wolf that was raised by a wonderful and intelligent female."
The letter immediately caught Teresa's attention by suprise, but she kept it hidden and looked down at Lion, who was pushing the white rose towards her.
She took the white rose from the ground gently and looked at the wolf.
"Do you want to tell me who placed this behind the tree?" Teresa asked Lion.
He immediately ran away from Teresa as she pursed her lips. "I'll take that answer as a no," Teresa muttered.

Jubilee and Elizabeth bursted into laughter at the same time.
Jean blinked twice, making sure that she wasn't hallucinating.
While Hailey and Teresa raised their eyebrow as they crossed their arms at the same time, making them seemingly like sisters.
"What's so funny about the letter?" Teresa furrowed her eyebrows.
"I- I'm sorry-" Elizabeth breathed out.
"I- It's j-just that-" Jubilee started.
"The person who wrote this called you a female!" Both of them bursted into laughter again.
"But Teresa is a female," Hailey stated.
"They are quite amused that someone would written down Teresa as a female rather than a girl or a woman." Jean told them, looking at the two girls.
She shrugged. "Maybe the person who wrote this was confused to what they should call Teresa because they don't want to offend her."
"They could've just called her a teenager," Hailey added.
"This letter might not even be for me," Teresa exclaimed. "The letter was behind a tree outside of the school where everyone could find."
"Let's not forget that the letter mentioned Lion," Jean reminded her, "along with the letter on your doorstep."
"It might still be a prank," Teresa tried to reason with them.
"The fact that they got another white rose for you makes me doubt that," Jubilee said. "It's hard to find a single flower! All for what, a prank?!"
"This person even managed to get you two white roses!" She exclaimed.
"We get it, Jubilee." Jean nodded. "The flower is hard to find in a regular flower shop and it's most likely more expensive than a bouquet of red roses."
"Either way, Sofia won't stop ranting on how beautiful the white rose was and will keep on asking me how I got two white roses."
"You're going to give it to Sofia again?" Jean raised her eyebrow.
"Like I said before, I don't exactly have a use for them, so it's better to give the white rose to Sofia." Teresa shrugged. "I think she would faint if I gave her a bouquet of those and start asking me on how I got those because she knows I would rather save my money than buy a couple of flowers."
"Then you better start finding stories on how you keep finding them or tell her the truth," Jean advised.
"You could also ignore her questions in a polite way." Hailey added.
"How are you able to ignore someone in a polite way?" Elizabeth inquired, bewildered.
"Don't ignore the person, just ignore the questions by changing the topic or ask a questions yourself, they might get too busy answering them or talking about that topic." Teresa answered.
"Ohh," Elizabeth nodded in realization. "Wait a minute, Hailey does that to me too and I didn't even realize it until after!"
"That's the reason why people does it," Hailey shrugged. "They either don't realize it or they realize it and don't want to talk about it."
"But what if they talk about it?" Jubilee inquired.
"Then you have to find a different trick to make sure they don't get offended," Teresa informed her.
"How do you two know so much about this?" Elizabeth questioned.
Hailey and Teresa looked at each other before they responded together, "Because we use it all the time,"
