Two
Kai groaned in annoyance. There wasn’t anything. They had been searching the archives for hours, and there wasn’t even a single trace of these sacred scrolls. At least, not out of what Kai has found. He sighed, resting his head in his hands, elbows on the desk. The strong scent of books was getting to him.
Warm arms wrapped around him. He lifted his head, and a familiar scent rushed into his nose. He didn’t even have to look back to know who it was.
“Hey, babe.” Kai said as Cole nuzzled his face into the crook of his neck.
“Hey, my flame… find anything?” Cole asked. Kai smiled at the nickname, but shook his head no. Cole sighed. “Perhaps we’re at a dead end then?” Kai was about to agree when Jay came up.
“Hey, we found something!” Jay said, excitement lacing every word. Kai and Cole looked up, and gave each other a glance, following Jay back to the others.
“So,” Zane started, holding a scroll as everyone gathered around. “It says here that a village called… Kakramaka was once home to the scrolls.”
“Maybe we can get the information we need there.” Lloyd suggested.
“But we don’t know where it even is.” Nya pointed out. Everyone nodded.
“Alright,” Lloyd said, taking charge. “Kai, Nya, Cole, you guys go and search for the city, and the rest of us will go look for more information. We will inform you about anything we find out through radio.”
The trio nodded and they left to find the village. Kai sighed as they left the library, his nerves beginning to run rampant. Cole set a comforting hand on his shoulder. “Love, it is going to be okay.”
“Yeah.” Nya added. “Besides, you got your sister and your boyfriend with you. We got your back, Kai.” she gently punched Kai’s shoulder, making him wince. He let out a soft chuckle.
“Thanks, guys. I’m glad I have you here with me.”
Cole pulled Kai into a hug. “Of course, my little flame.”
Later that night, the group parked the bounty 2.0 (a miniature bounty I am adding in for the sake of transportation in the story.) and Nya left to get some firewood to set up camp. They were at a large cave in a mountain. Kai sat, a fire started, and awaiting its food.
He sighed. Cole sat next to Kai, his warmth more comforting than the campfire’s. “You know, you have been sighing a lot.” Cole mentioned. Kai was startled by this.
“O-oh? What do you mean?”
Cole pulled Kai close to him and nuzzled into his neck as he spoke. “You seem stressed. Are you alright?” Kai’s face went red as Cole’s breath sent chills down his spine.
“Y-yeah, I’m fine.”
Kai knew Cole saw right through his lie. Cole nipped at Kai’s neck, and his breath caught in his throat. “C-Cole!” his whole face went red.
“Awe, like I haven’t kissed your neck before. Come on, you need some stress relief. Your body is so stiff.” He started massaging Kai’s thighs, causing Kai to become hard.
“I’m sorry, am I interrupting something?” Nya said with a smirk. Both Kai and Cole jumped with a start.
“O-oh…” Kai got up and out of Cole’s grasp. “N-no, we were just- I mean-” his face became redder by the second. Nya laughed.
“Why don’t you two take Bounty 2.0 tonight?”
“But what about-” Kai started.
“I’ll be fine, Kai. Besides, someone’s oughta keep watch.”
