Addiction.

After a long discussion or say debate with Shivaay, Anika decided to not let Mr.Daksh Khurana sponsor her exhibition.
"Thanks, Anika." Shivaay smiled at her and she frowned at him in response, "I'm gonna look out for other sponsors and you are not going to deny that, Shivaay."

That evening, Anika and Shivaay reached back to the Oberoi mansion after their work when they found Ragini sitting along with her parents in the hall.

"Hey Shivaay!" Ragini hugged him to which he parted, fake smiling "Hi."
After greeting Ragini's parents, Shivaay was about to leave when Tej stopped him.
"You may leave. This is our family matter!" Tej spoke eyeing Anika and she, respecting him was about to leave only to get stopped by Shivaay.
"She is family." He announced shocking the Malhotras and surprising Anika.

Ignoring what Shivaay spoke, Tej announced "We have decided the date of engagement. One week from today!"
"Nice Mr.Oberoi, congratulations for your engagement." Shivaay told sarcastically.
"Shivaay!" He heard a chorused voice from his father and Mr.Malhotra.
"I'm sorry uncle, I don't want to marry Ragini. I consider her as my friend only." Shivaay told politely.
"Shivaay, you know how much I love you." Ragini interrupted when Tej said eyeing Anika "Shivaay, this girl is trapping you."
"Mr.Oberoi, not another word about Anika." Shivaay tried sounding calm but Tej did not stop.

"I told you to leave my son, what do you want in return!?" He shouted stepping towards Anika.
Standing in front of her and stopping his father from stepping any further, Shivaay asked angrily "What will you take to leave me?!"
"Shivaay!" roared Tej in anger and Shivaay continued "It's hurting you, is it? Then what about hurting my family?"
Not waiting for an answer from him, Shivaay held Anika's hand and walked inside leaving Tej to deal with the Malhotras.

Apologising to Anika, Shivaay spoke tears brimming his eyes "I hate him."
Engulfing him in her arms, she caressed his hairs while he continued "He killed my mother, spoilt my life, hurt my family countless number of times."
Making him sit on a nearby couch, she said "Shivaay, I know I can't reduce your pain but I can definitely share it." to which he smiled weakly in response. Time passed by as they spoke, Shivaay was not upset for long as Anika was indeed the reason for bringing back a smile on his face.
"You are too good." He said hugging her tightly to which she said back smiling, "Not more than you."

Khushi, Shivaay and Anika decided to watch a movie that night. The girls were pretty excited while Shivaay enjoyed seeing their crazy excitement.

"Wait we are not watching this movie." Shivaay exclaimed while the other two frowned at him.
"Yes we are watching this movie." Anika announced only to see Shivaay nodding negatively.
"No we are not. Khushi will not let me sleep if we watch this horror film." He said when Anika chuckled asking, "Are you scared Shivaay?!"
"No, of course not..." He told surprised, and Anika spoke "Well then Khushi told she loves watching horror and that she is a big fan of this genre, just like me."
"Panda will tell, why won't she? She only wants to spend time with her boyfriend and trouble her brother." He said scowling at his sister.
"You are right, Billu." Khushi chuckled and in no time, the brother was behind his sister.

Tired from chasing each other, they took a place next to Anika on either sides not before frowning at each other. Chuckling at the duo, Anika stated "We are watching Notebook."
"But you wanted to watch Anabelle, Anika?" Khushi asked much confused to which she said,"I don't want your brother to walk like a zombie tomorrow!" making Khushi laugh and Shivaay smile at the thought of Anika caring for him.

Anika walked to the reception of the Oberoi office to meet Shivaay the next noon. She couldn't reach him over phone and had no choice except to visit him at the office, it was necessary to meet him as she had something important to discuss about her exhibition.

"I'm here to meet Mr.Shivaay Singh Oberoi." Anika told the receptionist when she looked back at her asking in a shrilled voice , "Do you have an appointment?"
"Not really." Anika told back politely.
"I don't know how people come here to meet sir without an appointment!" The receptionist muttered to herself but was loud enough for Anika to hear as well.
"Wait for some time, sir has a busy schedule today!" She spoke and Anika nodded in response.

Anika took a seat in the couch at one corner of the corridor where there were a few others sitting there.

"I'm scared for the interview with Mr.Oberoi! I heard he is no less than a beast when he is in his anger mode." One girl spoke to another when she got a response, "I'm attending the interview only to see Mr.Handsome!"
Anika chuckled hearing everyone around her and muttered under her breath "You are a charmer, Mr.SSO."

There came a girl who came and sat next to Anika. She didn't seem like the others, but indeed she was tensed a little. Greeting her, Anika asked "Here for the interview?"
"Yeah." She nervously chuckled when Anika assured her, "Be yourself, you will definitely crack the interview."

It was almost two hours since Anika waited to meet Shivaay. Gradually the crowd reduced around her and she looked at her watch to find the time to be three that afternoon.
"Thank you Anika." The girl came back and hugged her to which Anika reciprocated "Congratulations Saumya."
Talking about the interview for a couple of minutes, she bid a bye not before promising to meet her again.

"You can go now but you only have half an hour." The receptionist reached her and she nodded in acknowledgement.

"You are fired." Shivaay roared as Anika reached his room.
"May I come in?" Shivaay heard a familiar voice, the one he loved to hear for endless hours.
"Anika?" Shivaay called out surprised as he turned to see her and Anika smiled in response.
"When did you come?" He asked when she said not sounding exact, "Sometime back."

"How did they not inform me? Not responsible at all." Shivaay spoke quite annoyed as they made her wait while Anika held his arm saying, "That's okay. I got to know a lot while waiting for you."
"And what is that?" He asked softly as he gripped her hand with his.
"I got to know that I'm lucky enough to know the real you behind this beast man!" She chuckled making him smile and frown at the same time for addressing him beast man.

Not revealing the precap today as well but the next chapter will be fun. 🤗
