Time passed rather normally for the magicals living in Australia. Sadly, no news had been given to Hermione regarding the search for her parents.

Their house had been re-warded and now had a safe room of sorts should another attack happen. Some days the girls would come all together or individually. The books and scrolls were informative about mermaid history, especially about the ones who have a strong connection to the moon and Moon Pools scattered throughout the world.

However, some of the information referred to the mermaids found in the wizarding world. Even some on Selkies.

Harry and Hermione still couldn't find an explanation for their sudden change during their first full moon and if it had to do with the fact they were attacked. Whatever the reason, they had returned to normal the following day after deciding to go for a swim and see if they would remain like that or return to normal.

Now, the two magicals were enjoying some down time with Teddy by shopping when Hermione's phone rang. Thinking it was the police with news of her parents, she answered quickly. "Hello?" Her excitement died down when Cleo spoke on the other side of the line. "Oh, hi Cleo. Is something the matter?"

Hermione listened, before;

"WHAT!?"

Teddy got so startled that his hair turned red, and Harry turns to Hermione with a questioning look, waiting for an explanation.

She hung up, and turned to Harry in frustration. "That sister of Cleo's let Charlotte into her room, with a dumb excuse of working on a project, and she took the films showing Gracie turning into a mermaid!" She shout whispers.

Harry's eyes widen before narrowing and takes a deep breath to calm down. "Call Andromeda and let her know we may be a little late in meeting her back home."

Ringing the doorbell on the Sertori residence. Harry, Hermione and Teddy waited for only a moment before Kim answered the door and once she laid eyes on Harry, she once again blushed. "Oh, hello. What can I do for you today?"

Harry could feel both anger and disgust at the girl's attitude but didn't show it. "Kim right? We got a call from Cleo to meet her. Is she here?"

Kim's expression turned sour and she scoffs. "She's in her room with Emma and Cleo." She stood to the side but before she could say more, they walked past her and onto Cleo's room. Harry once again performing a few silencing charms on the door. Once done, he turns to the girls with a serious look on his face and Cleo had the decency to look abashed.

"I guess I should've listen to you and done as you had suggested."

Harry said nothing as his eyes narrowed and then looks around. "Where is all the information now?"

"We told Lewis to return it to Max. He'll be able to keep it safe."

"Lewis? The boy who can't act normal while trying to go from one place to the other without anyone following him Lewis?" Hermione asks as she holds the bridge of her nose in frustration.

"She...does have a point. Lewis isn't the best in acting like nothing is really wrong around others." Rikki points out, earning a glare from Cleo.

In an attempt to change topics, Emma speaks. "So any plans for the upcoming full moon? Sadly, I won't be allowed to go to your place again, since Mr. Sertori heard as talk about it and assumed we would be staying here and called our parents. Sorry guys."

"We do want to see if we go back to our more...predatory side during the full moon or if it was a one time thing." Harry explains and continues before they could say something, "Hermione theorized that the moon won't affect us the same as you three and I believe the theory as well. We've been studying and working with the moon and the planet since we were eleven.

"So we should be fine. However, we should also keep an eye out for Charlotte...just in case."

The day of the full moon came. Hermione kept looking on the library's computer for anything regarding her parents, while Harry read to Teddy and smiled as he tried to repeat some words as well.

A frustrated groan left her as she logged off and held her head in her hands.

"I know you're frustrated Mione, but we've only been here for two months. Don't give up hope."

"I know you're right Harry, but it's so bloody hard! I've searched for anything with the names I gave them and I've gotten nothing..." Hermione says as tears fall from her eyes.

Harry bends and hugs her with Teddy in warm arm, trying to calm her down. "Let's head to the Water Park, a bit of fun is needed." As soon as Harry finished, Teddy squealed in agreement and Hermione could never say no to the face Teddy was making.

"Let's invite Andy as well!" Hermione says as she dials Andromeda to pick them up.

Thirty minutes later:

The four magicals could be seen walking around the water park. Playing games and going on rides, though Harry and Hermione stayed away from any that had anything to do with water. They even sat to watch the animal shows for the day.

They couldn't believe how much fun they were having, Teddy especially. This being the first time he had been to the park and had seen the animals, not to mention some of the foods he had gotten to taste.

Pictures were taken with them in goofy looking animal imitations and some toys were bought as well for all of them. It was just what Hermione needed to help her calm down from the lack of news about her parents. Not to mention that when Harry held her hand she felt butterflies on her stomach and made her cheeks flush a light red.

Harry for his part wasn't immune to the sensations he felt when holding her hand. He also had a weird feeling in his stomach, but not in a bad way and certainly not in the way when he saw Ginny with other boys.

Sitting down on a bench, Teddy yawned and rubbed his eyes. All the excitement and some of the food had tired the poor boy out. Add the fact he has yet to get used to the Australian climate.

"Poor Teddy is exhausted, I think it's time to return home." Andromeda says as she picks her grandchild and stands with Harry and Hermione standing before they all walk towards the exit. Neither Harry or Hermione bothering to let go of each others hands.

The full moon was slowly rising. Harry and Hermione were close to the water with Andromeda watching. Taking deep breaths, they walk into the water and wait. Ten seconds later, they change and notice that they, in fact, changed to the same predatory form from the last full moon. Unlike last time, they didn't feel the aggressive tendency from before.

Going to the surface, they waved and Andromeda and she waved back before heading inside.

"Do you want to head to the cave we found and spend some time there? I don't think going to Mako is a good idea right now." Harry says and Hermione nods before they start swimming in the direction of their now secret cave. Jumping above the water and playing with one another, enjoying the freedom they felt under the moon and the cooling waves.

Not knowing had they gone to Mako, they could have prevented the events that were soon to come.

Hermione was in the potion's lab, working on some healing potions as well as some sunburn salves to add to their stocks.

While she was mixing the potions, her mind wandered to the recent events she had experienced.

From suffering thrust betrayal, to worrying for her parents and wondering where they could be, to the most bizarre change to herself. She was now not just a witch, but a mermaid as well, and a very rare one from what she could gather from the books and scrolls she and Harry had found.

Then there was the unexpected event. She had always liked Harry as a friend, but now she finds her heart yearning for more than friendship from him. His tenacity and loyalty along with how confident he could be and what an amazing teacher he is. Even though his childhood wasn't the best, she respected how he never gave his happiness up.

Putting a stasis charm on the potions to finish off later, she walks out of the lap and spots Harry and Teddy working on planting the magical seeds. Seeing how relaxed and Happy was with Teddy brought a smile to her face.

Suddenly an image filled her mind. One were Harry was behind her while she was holding a baby, smiling down at him and seeing how the baby's eyes were like Harry's along with his hair but had her soft features.

She was brought out of the image by Teddy calling her as he ran to her all dirty and happy. "Teddy, look at you, covered in dirt all over."

"Papa and I had fun!" Teddy exclaims and Hermione notices Harry freeze behind Teddy at what he just heard.

"Teddy, what did you call me?"

Said boy turns around and gives a bright smile with his hair changing yellow. "Papa!"

Harry's eyes welled with tears as a smile grew on his face before picking his son up and hugging him tight, causing Teddy to laugh and hug him in return. "That's the first time you called me papa."

"You are my papa. Remus is dad, you are papa."

The tears fell from Harry's eyes as he hugs Teddy again and then looks at Hermione who had a radiant smile on her face as tears also fell down her cheeks and Harry held an arm out for her. Not needing another invitation, she joins in on the hug.

Neither knew how long the hug lasted, but they didn't care. To them, it was comfortable and they didn't feel like letting go of the other.

Their little bubble was broken by the sound of Harry's phone ringing. Said person sighs before breaking the hug and answering after recognizing the caller I.D. "Hey Lewis, everything alright?" He remained silent as Lewis spoke and slowly, Harry's features began to pale. His eyes growing wide before narrowing in anger and frustration. "Right. Mione and I will meet you and the girls once you're out of school."

Hanging up, Harry looks at the phone again before groaning. "Bloody hell."

"Harry! Language!"

Ignoring her, Harry went inside and found Andromeda working on some papers. "Andy, Mione and I will be heading to the JuiceNet to meet with the others...on second thought it might be best if you join us...because we are going to need you there."

After bathing and getting dressed, the four magicals started the slow drive to the JuiceNet. They were going to be there earlier than the group but it was for the best due to Harry being unable to stay put and letting off steam would tired him out.

"Harry, what in Godric's name did Lewis say to get you so upset?" Hermione asks, worry and annoyance marring her features.

Harry turns to look at her and takes a deep breath to answer as calmly as possible. "We now have an unwanted addition to our small merpeople group."

Hermione frowns. "That doesn't mean it-" she stops and her eyes widen in realization. "No..."

"Yes...Charlotte went to the Moon Pool on Mako during the full moon." Harry could feel his annoyance growing. "We should have gone to the Moon Pool. We could have prevented this from happening!"

"Harry there was no way for us to know this would have happened!" Hermione said while reaching to his hand and holding it in an effort to calm him down. "First, we have to find out how she figure it out and go from there, okay Harry?"

Harry looked from her hand to her eyes before nodding in agreement. "We also make sure she doesn't know that we are merepeople. That is top priority."

Hermione agreed vehemently.

Thankfully they were close to the JuiceNet. Andromeda parked close by and they all went in. They've become regulars to the establishment that the workers already knew what they wanted, so after making sure their orders were placed correctly, they sat in one of the booths and waited for the group to arrive.

Fifteen minutes later:

Teddy was eating a snack by the time the girls and Lewis walked in and spotted them. For some reason, only Lewis was avoiding direct eye contact with them. This made Harry and Hermione tense as they narrow down how Charlotte figured out the Moon Pool's powers.

They pulled a couple of chairs to the booth table and Harry discretely put up a Muffliato around them so no one could hear them, and then waited for them to talk.

Lewis broke first. "I'm sorry guys. She followed me all the way to were Max would be and told him about how Gracie was her grandmother. After that, Max just told her enough for her to figure it all out." He says and finally looks at Harry and Hermione. "She came to me the day after the full moon and showed me, jumped into the water and transformed."

"Merlin's saggy ball sack," Harry says while ignoring Hermione's scolding of language. "Please tell me there was nobody around."

"We were alone. No one was around to see anything...but we were lucky. This time."

"Yes. From the sound of it you were. Before more is said, she is to never and I mean NEVER, find out that we are also merepeople." Harry states, looking at all of them in the eye. "I don't care what you do as long as you don't put us, and by default Andromeda and my son at risk." He adds and watches how he nods, but the girls only give him stunned looks. "What?"

"You guys don't really expect us to deal with her on our own!?" Emma shouts and covers her mouth before looking around and noticing no one was looking at them.

"Yes, I do." Harry answers and looks at Hermione who nodded after a second. "I didn't like her when I first met her, and I'm not going to trust her now with our secret. Much less let her into our lives."

"Harry has a point girls," Andromeda speaks. "Even if it were just the secret of Harry and Hermione being a merman and mermaid each, she would no doubt ask too many questions. Such as why do they look different, why are they faster and-"

"How and why can they breathe underwater you can only hold your breath." Hermione adds, making them all look at her. The girls and Lewis looked at her with wide eyes, Harry only sighs and Andromeda says nothing as she cleans Teddy. "Yes, Harry and I can breathe underwater."

"How!?" Rikki and Lewis shout at the same time.

"We believe it's due to the fact we are magicals." Hermione states with finality on the matter. "You may come to us to keep reading and finding out information. However, Charlotte is not invited to our home nor to the knowledge we have. Have I made myself clear, Lewis? Emma?"

Both teens blushed at being singled out to the fact they would tell Charlotte something.
