About Mako Island and Strange Girls
The next morning, they all decided to explore the town and see if they could find anything about the island and if there's any information on the Grangers.
Andromeda had decided to look for a place to buy a car with Teddy, while Hermione and Harry headed to the police station. They agreed to meet in the library in about an hour or so.
Walking inside the police station, Hermione went to the desk, while Harry took in his surroundings. His Auror skills kicking in, looking for any potential trouble or danger. It doesn't help that he's never been to a police station in his life, nor encountered a policemen.
"Excuse me, officer?" Hermione begins, earning the attention of the man behind the computer.
"What can I help you with Miss?"
"Well...you see officer, I'm trying to find my parents. They came to Australia three years ago while I was away, and I don't know where they are anymore. They didn't leave an address as to where they were moving, but they're orthodontists."
"What are your parents names?" The officer asks Hermione.
"Wendell and Monica Gr--Wilkins." Hermione quickly corrects herself before the officer could notice anything.
"Wendell and Monica Wilkins...do you have any picture of them?" He looks at her again and then behind her, finally noticing Harry. His eyes narrow some as he takes him in. He notices how the young boy behind Hermione is taking in everything in the station. From the other policemen to the exits.
Harry turns to the officer attending Hermione and said officer is taken aback by not only the color of his eyes, but also what lies within. Behind Harry's green eyes, the officer saw pain, sadness and guilt. He saw eyes that have seen horrible things. He turns to the girl and notices the same look, though she's trying to hide it.
"Officer?"
He mentally shakes his head and looks at Miss Wilkins and looks at a picture in her hand before taking it and looking at it before nodding. "I'll put in a look out for your parents Miss. Do you have a phone number I could call you should to keep you inform of any progress?"
"Not at this point in time, we arrived yesterday." Hermione answers as she looks down and feels Harry hold her hand in support.
"Alright, just come see me or anyone here when you have a number we can reach you from."
"Thank you officer. Have a good day." With that, she turned around, Harry following.
"Sir! What is your name and your relation to her?"
Both freeze and Harry nods at Hermione before turning. "I'm here to help her find her parents. She's my best friend and she asked for my help, which I will gladly give." With that, they left, leaving a somewhat shocked officer.
It wasn't until they were out of the building that the officer realized he never got the young man's name.

"We might as well head to the library and get a head start about that island." Hermione suggests and they start to walk in the direction of the building. "I have to admit, this town is pretty nice. Everything is either in walking or biking distance."
"True, since neither of us know how to really drive." Harry adds with humor as they keep walking.
Around fifteen minutes later, they arrive at the building and head over to the front desk.
"Excuse me ma'am, where could we find information on that island that's nearby?" Hermione asks politely.
"You're not from around here are you?" The librarian asks as she takes in both of them.
"No ma'am. We just moved here and I'm curious about the town and the surrounding ocean, including that island." Hermione says and watches as the woman looks at them once more before sighing.
"The island is called Mako Island. You'll find information about it in the M section."
"Thank you." Hermione says and quickly makes her way towards the mentioned section, Harry following after nodding at the librarian.
"Mako...Mako...Mako...oh! Here it is. Mako Island.
"Mako Island is a special island that is located approximately 50 km off the Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia.
"Around Mako there are the largest population of Mako sharks and sea turtles, some of which cannot be found anywhere else on earth.
"Off-shore there are coral reef sands and a number of wrecks. On the northern side of the island there is a place called Triton's Reef, it's known as place where sharks breed. Throughout history, there have been peculiar happenings around Mako, such as a whirlpool and numerous ship wrecks and disappearances, giving Mako an eerie reputation.
"Mako Island was created in ancient times when a lunar rock came from the moon and impacted on Earth."
"Wait, the moon?" Harry says as he leans over the book she's reading and casts a Muffliato around themselves. "The moon is an important astral body. Do you think that's the reason is reacting like this?"
"It's possible. I may not believe all that tosh about Divination, but I do know that planets, stars and moons have significant impact in the Magical World."
"Is there any other information about Mako Island?"
"Only that the volcano has been dormant for hundreds of years and there is no worry of it going active. A list of the species that live in its surrounding reefs and the plants that can be found on land. That's odd, it looks like there are no land animals inhabiting the Island.
"Other than that and the weird disappearances that have taken place around the island, there isn't much to go on." Hermione says as she takes a look at the image in the book. Both her and Harry started at it for the longest of time before Hermione closed the book and Harry removed the Muffliato. And just in time, because just then Andromeda and Teddy showed up.
"Hey there bud. Did you behave for grammy?"
"I did dad! I be good!"
Harry smiles as they stand and put the books away. "Did you find something?" Andromeda asks as she notices them putting away the books.
"Well...we aren't sure. Andy...has your magic been...acting up weirdly since we arrived here?"
"Acting weirdly? No I can't say that it has. Why?"
"It may be nothing, but Mione's and my magic acted strangely yesterday. We found that it felt like it wanted us to go to that Mako Island."
"The island? Are you sure your magic is reaching out to it? Or is something on the island reaching out towards you?"
Harry and Hermione looked at one another, neither knowing the answer to her question.

Andromeda had managed to buy a decent car to fit not only them, but any possible other guests. Though Hermione thought it would be a while before that happened.
"I heard about this place called the JuiceNet cafe. It's a little cafe by the water were kids go for some refreshment. What do you say we head over there and give it a look?" Andromeda informs as she drives towards said cafe.
No one was against that idea so they remained silent, reminding Teddy to not show his gifts in public.
Andromeda parks a little ways away and they all walk towards the cafe.
Harry and Hermione, while not worried about an attack, were tense. New place and new people tended to do that for the young witch and wizard who were scarred from the war and all the battles. Stepping inside, the notice the other possible exit and the staff before heading to a booth in a corner.
Picking up the menu, they give it a read before one of the workers approaches.
She was blond, hair reaching down to the middle of her back, blue eyes and some barely there freckles. "Hello and welcome to the JuiceNet cafe. My name is Emma, what can I get for you?"
Something about the girl made both Harry and Hermione feel curious. It almost felt like when their magic had reacted towards the island.
"Hello, we are new here and I was wondering if we could have a few more minutes to look at the menu?" Hermione says with a smile, surprising Emma with her accent no doubt.
"Of course! Just call out when you're ready to order," She says and goes behind the counter to get others their drinks.
Hermione keeps looking at the girl before looking at Harry. "Did you-"
"Yeah, I did." He interrupts as his eyes doesn't leave the blond headed girl for a moment more before looking at the menu and smiling. "What do you say about a Chocolate Chip Cookie smoothie Teddy?"
"Chocolate! Chocolate!"
Harry chuckles and looks for a drink for himself, Hermione and Andromeda already having theirs in mind.
"I guess we are ready to order?" Harry asks and after they nod, he raises his arm and motions for Emma to approach them. Once she does, he speaks. "I will take a Chocolate Chip Cookie smoothie for my son and I will have a Strawberry-Banana smoothie." Harry finishes and puts down the menu, ignoring the look the girl gave him when he said son.
"I'll have a Watermelon smoothie," Andromeda tells her before Emma turns to Hermione.
"I'll have a Blueberry-Banana smoothie please."
"Alright. So that will be one Chocolate Chip Cookie smoothie, one Strawberry-Banana smoothie, one Watermelon smoothie and one Blueberry-Banana smoothie. It will be a few minutes, but it will be worth the wait." She nods at them and goes to the back.
Just then, two girls sit on a table near them.
"Think Emma is in the back?" The one with brown hair asks the blond girl across from her.
"She does work here Cleo. She must be getting someone's drinks. Calm down a bit will you?"
"I'm trying Rikki, but with the next full moon in two days...I can't help but be a bit on edge."
"Nothing will happen. We'll just spend the night together at Emma's this time."
"Yeah but...Lewis..."
Before they could say anymore, Emma walks over to the table close to them and they finally take notice of the people sitting there.
Cleo noticed the women, one being older than the other, while Rikki noticed the young man and the boy. Both Rikki and Cleo found it peculiar how the boy's hair was blue.
'Who dyes a kid's hair blue?' Rikki thinks to herself.
"Here you go. One Chocolate Chip Cookie smoothie for the young man. Your Strawberry-Banana smoothie sir, Watermelon smoothie for you ma'am and your Blueberry-Banana smoothie. Enjoy!" Emma says before turning to Cleo and Rikki. "I'll be able to take a break in a few minutes," was what she said before she left to the front of the cafe again.
Harry helps Teddy with his smoothie and they all laugh when he all but tries to down it as quick as possible. The adults enjoy their own drinks, finding them refreshing in the Australian heat.
Emma returns and sits down with the other girls, causing Harry and Hermione to pay attention due to what the other two had said earlier.
"Are we set for the next full moon?" Emma asks.
"Maybe we should ask Lewis for help. Just to be sure." The brown haired one, Cleo, says.
"We don't need his help Cleo. We know what we have to do to be safe. Besides he seems to be doing well with Charlotte." Rikki says in irritation.
"Maybe we should talk about this elsewhere..." Cleo says after noticing a pair of green and chocolate brown eyes on them. They nod and get up to go about their day.
But the damage was done. The three adult magicals were now wondering if they were the only magicals around in town.
