Hello and Welcome Back To Magical Girls Explained, Today we will be talking about Tsuruno Yui Story and Info, in our last story we talked about Yachiyo Nanami Story & Info, Sense We are Talking about Tsuruno Yui, I’ll like to Tell about her Side story that will be Explained in This Video.

I did a 3 Episode Story of Tsuruno, So I recommend checking it out, it is also one of my First Videos I Started Uploading on This Channel.  Now let’s begin The Story of Tsuruno Yui. 

(General Info)

Tsuruno Yui is 17 Years Old, She is 162 Cm High, Eye Color is Orange & Her Hair Color is Light Brown, She Originated From Sankyo Ward In Kamihama.

Her Soul Gem is an Orange Diamond Located on The Center of Her Waist Belt, Her Weapon is That of Japanese War Fans Or Iron Fans for short, They were use by Samurai of feudal Japan, 

Her Wish Is to Win The Lottery of 800 Million Yen, In US Dollars 7,678,464.00 Million Dollars. That is a Lot, “I want to win the Lottery” is her Wish, Her Doppel and Witch is Yu Hong, Her Known Relatives are her, Unnamed great-grandfather (deceased), grandfather (deceased), grandmother, father, mother, and two sisters (one elder). 

She Goes Kamihama City University Affiliated School, 11th grade. 

Her Magical Girl Element is The Flame Element, Her Ability is Good Luck.

(Tsuruno’s Magical Girl Summary) 

A reckless Magical Girl who's full of energy. Tsuruno loves her family, especially her grandfather and great-grandfather, who lead the Yuis to their former prosperity. She fights to become the strongest Magical Girl in order to restore the Yui name.

(Yu Hong Doppel Description) 

Sesen Tsuruno’s Doppel has not been Revealed in the 2020 anime, She Does Not have a 2020 Anime Card.

Her In Game Card However reads as Follows, The Doppel of harmony. Its form is ham. The master of this emotion is quite dissatisfied with both the appearance and behavior of her Doppel. In contrast to her own desires to achieve great deeds through her own hard work, this Doppel creates an endless stream of wealth to satisfy the never-ending desires of her close relatives in an attempt to preserve family peace. The truth is, however, that this is only a very fickle and short-lived harmony. The master believes that it exists in complete contrast to her own noble goals and prefers to keep its boorish existence hidden from the world. However, she may one day find that she needs this Doppel's powers to protect the harmony between her family members, no matter how fragile that harmony might be.

(Tsuruno’s Main Story) 

In Tsuruno’s Side of The Story of The Main, Tsuruno makes 2 Appears with Iroha for the First Time, In The 2017 Game, Tsuruno Encounters Iroha when she is looking for Info on The Second Uwasa. 

Iroha Screamed Out That she needed help to find answers on the Second Uwasa’s Rumor, And Just How Truruno Delivers, She Shouts out In Iroha Face!. 

In the 2020 Anime, Their First Encounter was Different, Iroha Comes To Tsuruno’s Family’s Chinese Restaurant, “The Banbanzai”.

She’s There When Momoko Hand’s Her a Filer to The Restaurant, Saying she can find answers there about Ui Tamaki, Iroha’s Missing Sister, Or More on the Friendship Ending Staircase & Rumors. 

When Iroha Comes However She is Nervous about Tsuruno Thinking like she is in the Wrong Place.

Before She Could Leave Tsuruno Takes Her Inside Before she Can Make a “Run For it”, 

There she had no Choice But to Ask Tsuruno Questions, About Ui and The Rumors, Tsuruno Doesn't Have anything she knows on Ui, But Gave the Much Information on The Rumors she knew, Senses Iroha was Magical Girl, Tsuruno also Volunteered To Help Iroha in the Rumors. 

When They Fought the Second Uwsas. Iroha Unlocks her Doppel, To Tsuruno & Yachiyo Surprised, In the 2020 Anime after The Uwsas is Killed, Yachiyo & Tsuruno Can’t Find Iroha, Until She Emerges From The Water In Her Doppel Form, Her Doppel Attacks Tsuruno, But Before it Could Mami Tomoe Comes and Shots Her Down With Tiro Finale.” 

She Then Comes to Finish Off Iroha Claiming she is a Witch in Human Form. In Both Versions  Tsuruno is Just Standing There Puzzled. To what was going on.

Tsuruno Will Soon Meet Felicia Mitsuki & Sana Futaba as she helps Iroha and Yachiyo with the Rumors. 

When, Iroha, Tsuruno, Felicia & Sana, Go to the Memory Museum, Touka Satomi,  One of The Wings of Magius Leaders, Reveals The Secret Of Magical Girls to The Group, except Yachiyo who didn’t want to come. 

This Scares Tsuruno and Everyone, Touka Offers Them to Join The Wings Of Magius. Iroha is Put in the Memories of Yachiyo & Mifuyu, Unable to Stop Tsuruno and the Others as they are Brainwashed Into Joining The Wings Of Maguis.

Soon, Tsuruno Becomes Rumor Tsuruno Once Becoming Completely Brainwashed.

Now Let’s Begin WIth Tsuruno’s Side Story, as a Message i did do a Video on Tsuruno’s Side Story In Three Parts, I Recommend seeing them, But sense i am going though that story we can Continue.

It Begins With Tsuruno Finishing Up Magical Girl Practice With Rena, Kaede & Momoko, Finishing Off the Fight with Rena, She Then Challenges Momoko and Kaede as She Beated Rena, But The Girls are Tired of Fighting with her. 

Tsuruno Says she Must Become Stronger, Momoko asked Why she wants to Become Strong and Tsuruno Explains. 

The Story of How She Became a Magical Girl in The First Place, Her great-grandfather set up a Chinese restaurant, which her grandfather made into the number one place in Kamihama, But However Once Her Father Took Over, The Ratings and Customers dropped over Time, and Her Grandmother and Mother Only Concerned about Luxuries, To The Point of Selling The Keepsakes of Her Great-Grandfather and Grandfather Just to Buy a New Car.

When Given The Contract To Become a Magical Girl, Tsuruno Wished for 800 Million Yen To Win In The Lottery, But Her Mother and Grandmother Took The Money and Spend it on a Luxury Cruise, (Talk about a Bunch Of Greed), Tsuruno Still Says there on Vacation, She Claims she wants to Become Strong, Because she Believes her Grandpa and Great-Grandpa were Strong too.

Rena Points Out Tsuruno’s Strength Might Be Different Than that, Tsuruno says her Grandpa said that all Human Strength Comes From The Same Root, She Says if she becomes strong and Energizes Her Family, She says it will Solve all of Her Problems, That it’s her duty to Revive The Yui Family Name, Witch Used to be High Class.

This Tsuruno Challenges Rena Again, But Rena Shows her something she found on the Internet, About a Person in Kamihama Who Gives Advice, Rena Suggests Tsuruno she Go to Receive Advice To Become Strong. 

Tsuruno Decides to Go There The Next Day, Meanwhile Momoko’s Group is Revealed not Not Deal with Tsuruno, The Next day Tsuruno heads to the Place called “Emiri’s Room” Possibly in The Kamihama Shopping District, Akira Shinobu Shows Tsuruno to Counselor Emiri Kisaki.

Emiri Tells Tsuruno to talk to her, That when people do so they Feel Refreshed, She tells Tsuruno she loves talking to people. And That Everyone Suggested She Built an Advice Stand, (Huh That Kinda Sounds Like an Advice Stand I already know by a girl named Lucy, HMMMM?)  

Anyways Tsuruno Decides to Leave thinking Emiri Couldn’t Help Her, But Akira Convinces Tsuruno To stay, Tsuruno Decides to Tell the Two her Goal, Emiri Tells Her she should Train Which is Not the Same as Exercise, She also Says Exercising is Not like Practicing, But Training is Supposed to be  Super Hard or so that she read in Manga once, Tsuruno to Akira’s Surprise Understands what Emiri is saying, Tsuruno says instead of Fighting Others She should fight herself.

When Tsuruno asks Emiri how she can do it, Emiri Introduces Akira as someone who is Super Strong at Karate, Akira Protests, But Emiri Insets Tsuruno Go to Akira’s Place, Akira was Forced to acquiesce, Later Akira & Tsuruno Track Down a Lost Dog, Tsuruno Asks if Akira usually Finds Lost Animals, Akira says People ask her to do things and she can’t say no.

Tsuruno Thinks People Counting On Akira Makes Akira Strong, Akira Admits She can’t think about another way to train Tsuruno, But Tsuruno is Happy with it, Then Tsuruno Sees the Lost Dog and Runs over someone’s Garden to Catch it, While the Dog was Returned, The Owns Got Mad at Tsuruno and Akira For Recking Up there Garden. 

Tsuruno Apologizes, Akira says it was alright, she tells Tsuruno of someone who is a More suited Teacher for Her, The Next day Akira Introduces To Meiyui Chun, Akira says Meiyiui is Strong at Kenpou, Tsuruno says if Meiyui can Train her, Bur Meiyui says she doesn’t have enough experience in Kung Fu, and that her master would be upset if she taught it to others.

Tsuruno Begs she would do anything if Meiyui Allows her to Train, Akira admits she brought Tsuruno to Meiyui because Akira didn't have confidence in herself. Meiyui Acquiesce and brings Tsuruno to a Factory. She Introduces Tsuruno to the Factory Manger, Meiyui says Tsuruno will work there part time, and help carry heavy Items. 

Tsuruno Gets to Work, and Meiyui is Surprised with Tsuruno’s Strength, The Factory Manager tells Meiyui he is Happy that Meiyui Introduced Tsuruno to him,  Meiyui thanks the manager for his help, but the manager says they've been indebted to the Soukaihou for a long time. 

Later on Tsuruno Leaves the Factory and Mets with Yachiyo Nanami in the Park, Where she Burst into Tears in front of Yachyio.

It Turn out while working at the factory, Tsuruno Trip Over some parts she was carrying went all over the place, People who worked said it was alright, This Made Tsuruno Feel Upset, It made her Feel like she hasn't accomplished anything, It Terrified her that she might lose her Family and There Restaurant.

Yachiyo Tells Tsuruno to Calm Down and Relax, She Tells her to worry about small things Instead of Worrying about the Big Picture, She claims if Tsuruno accomplishes small things she'll likely be rewarded for them. The Next day Tsuruno Return to Emiri’s Stand to Apologize.

She is Greeted By Akira who is There With Meiyui. Tsuruno Apologizes for what happened at the Factory, But Meiyui Reveals that The Factor Manger Wants Tsuruno to Come Back and Help out again, Akira says the Owner of The Lost Dog is Very Happy that they have them back.

As The Dog is practically her only family, Surprised by the Praise Tsuruno Accepts Meiyui Offer to help again, Tsuruno Then Tells Yachiyo What happened, and Decides the Training was a Success, She Challenged Yachiyo to Fight, But Yachyio Refused, Yachiyo says she will call Momoko’s Group and Runs off, Tsuruno Wonders Where Rena Could be. 

(Tsuruno Abilities)

 Her ability is worded as 'Good Luck', although it seems to manifest itself more as it being double-sided. The restaurant of her family isn't the best there is and it is stated that it won't get better anytime soon, but it is never out of money since it is cheap and there are a lot of loyal consumers - which Tsuruno easily gets with her extrovert personality. In Mel's side story, she eats something where a laxative was poured in. As a result, she spent the rest of the day in the restroom but if she didn't eat it, the restaurant would get a bad publicity. 

It can also be said that her fairly smooth release from Chelation Land is this, and that her corruption was nowhere near as bad as Holy Mami's is. 

Alternatively, her good luck can be said to only occur if it benefits others. When she wished to win the lottery, it was for the benefit of her family's restaurant. When she won rare Dekagon Ball stickers it was for trading with Felicia, and during the New Year's event she was able to win the carnival game because the prize was for her friends. In the case of the indigestion from Mel's prediction, Tsuruno believed her good luck magic would shield her from any ill effects, but because that would have only benefited her, she was still struck by bad luck.

(Tsuruno’s Name Meaning)

Tsuruno Yui’s Last name means, “Reason” & “Ratio” Respectfully, 

Her Name means “Crane” and “Yes” Respectfully, However The “Yes” is a character is often used for girls' names in general.

Fact #1: Tsuruno’s Japanese Voice Actor is Shiina Natsukawa, Who is Known For Voicing Gin in “Bungo Stray Dogs”, Girl (Nuigurumi's Child) in “Your Lie in April”, Aya Hirasaka, Etc In Aikatsu!, and a Student in Jewelpet Happiness.

Her English Voice Actor is Marieve Herington, Who Has Recurring Roles in “How I Met Your Mother”, “Good Luck Charlie” & “Ever After High”. As Fair as Anime Goes, She Voiced Vivian in Seven Deadly Sins, Tatsumaki in “One Punch Man” & Leroute in Hunter X Hunter. 

Fact #2: She is the first magical girl to gain a Five Star uncap. 

Fact #3: Her Doppel may be named after Yu Hong, a Central Asian who served as a government official in plural Chinese dynasties in the 6th century

Fact #4: Yui is the third magical girl to have her name in her Witch name (Yuhong), followed by Homura (Homulilly) and Ren (Renata).
