The truth fairy
Muggle and No-Maj children believe in a legendary being known as the tooth fairy. They think the tooth fairy is an insect size girl with beautiful wings and dress and collect people's teeth to make a castle out of teeth. So what the Muggle and No-Maj children do is, when they're teeth come out, they put them under their pillows when they sleep and expect the so-called 'tooth fairy' to take their fallen tooth and in return leave a gold coin instead.
But here is the truth about the Tooth Fairy. The first thing you need to know is that there is no such thing as the Tooth fairy. So then what takes the children's fallen teeth and leave gold coins under their pillows? NIFFLERS! It's those pesky mischievous nifflers that steal the teeth and leave gold coins behind. If you think about it, it actually makes sense. Nifflers are attracted to anything shiny as stated in the introduction and so if the Tooth is shiny enough for a niffler's likeness it will not hesitate to stuff it in it's pouch.
But then what about the coin? When a niffler squeezes under a pillow and takes the Tooth sometimes one of it's coins will fall out of it's pouch. Sometimes it won't drop a coin leaving a disappointed Muggle child without a coin. That is the truth about the Tooth fairy, and a small explanation on general Niffler behaviour. It's still nice to know that some muggle children believe in Magic.
