The world froze around Alexis and she knew this because Edward was halfway out the door and just froze.

"Now can we talk," she turned back to the screens to see the image of Chailux gone and a bright light. Chailux emerged from the light with a smile and his hands deep in his pockets, "Project Demon is a new weapon the SMF have been developing, a bomb of sort."

Alexis was taken back by this. There was no such magic or technology are able to accomplish such a thing, "what in the world is going on," she tried to use her magic again but nothing happened, "my magic."

Chailux's smile faded then he pulled out a golden pocket watch and examined the time, "we don't have much time to talk," his thump rested on the button, "I can effect this world very little," Alexis was confused by his statement, "stay close to Edward, your destinies are intertwined," he straighten his waistcoat, "and for the record, I'm not from here," he pressed the button and appeared back on the screen, "now then First Officer Florina," the door close with Edward leaving, "your report?"

Alexis composed herself and cleared her throat, "what do you want to know," she asked. The silhouettes looked to their chairman then back to Alexis.

The male silhouette looked to adjust a pair of glasses then interlocked his fingers, "your teams attack report on the eastern front," he looked towards the female silhouette, "do you have it?"

The female silhouette shook her head, "I have all reports but the hers," she looked towards Alexis, "now the report."

Alexis knew what to say because she saw the attack on the eastern front, "we suffered little casualties, two soldiers died," Chailux's expression didn't change at all, "the Seekers suffered a minor malfunction in the case that some were still able to preform magic."

There was silence as the two silhouettes looked to Chailux waiting for his response, "the malfunction with the Seekers is disappointing," Alexis lowered her head, "the casualty report is remarkable," she raised her head again, "lowest casualty we've ever had."

"It's astonishing really," Alexis said trying to sound pleased, "thank you for your time council," she started to walk out as the screens turned off one by one.

Chailux's was last and he gave a smile as a bright light engulfed the screen and he disappeared. Then the screen turned off.
