If you don't know anything about Chuseok, here you will find a handful of information, both general and small tips that you can use in your story.

🌕🌾 Chuseok is a national holiday in South Korea, often referred to as Korean Thanksgiving. It typically falls in late September or early October.🌕🌾

🌕🌾 During Chuseok, families gather to celebrate the autumn harvest, express gratitude, and pay respect to their ancestors. They prepare a lot of delicious dishes, including rice cakes (known as songpyeon), stir-fried noodles (japchae), and marinated grilled meat (bulgogi).🌕🌾

🌕🌾Many Koreans dress in traditional clothing called "hanbok" to add a cultural touch to the festival. Traditional board games, wrestling (ssireum), and sharing family stories are common activities during this time.🌕🌾

🌕🌾On Chuseok night, people often look up at the full moon and make wishes, hoping their dreams will come true. It is a beautiful symbol of hope and optimism for the future.🌕🌾

We kindly ask all participants to adhere to the rules and not exceed the word limit. Only a levy of 100 words can be allowed.

Does my story need to be a standalone?

Yes! Your story needs to be a standalone, specifically written for this contest in order to be able to win the contest. 

Can I write it as part of a collection?

Yes your story can be part of a collection. Although it needs to be a standalone.

Can I co-write a story with a friend?

Yes, your story can be co-written. However, in case of winning - only one account i.e., the one submitting the story will be featured.

Can I rewrite an existing story for this contest?

No. We are not accepting existing stories or rewritten stories for this contest.

Can I edit my story after submitting?

Editing is allowed only till the deadline of the contest. After that - changes are not allowed.
