My breath hitched slightly as Uther set out the order. I had met him only once before, and it was terrifying. I remember a vague conversation between my Father and the so called "witch finder". It must have terrified me so much that it stuck with me. And that was before I discovered my magic, mind you. Merlin's really done it now.

Of course Merlin found a way to endanger the lives of Morgana, himself, and me all in one day. I think it's high time I had a conversation with Morgana about her magic.

"Morgana, can I speak with you? In private..." She gave me a dazed nod before letting me into her chambers. Once the door was shut, I started.

"Morgana, there has been something I've been meaning to tell you for many years now...I have magic. And I know you do too. I can help you control it...hide it."

"I'm glad you told me, but don't you think it's ill timed?"

"Hmmm...it appears that I have been hanging out with Merlin to much."

Mini time skip:

"The facts point to one person and one person alone: my boy, Merlin!"

"Merlin? You can't be serious." Ok...so maybe I should have been looking out for Merlin instead. I hate having to dine with Aridian. The way he gazes at me...it sends shivers down my spine. But I keep my head held high. If he smells my fear, I'll be next to go. Plus, I have no intent to give him such satisfaction. After I was excused, I headed towards Gais and Merlin's chambers. I rap my knuckles lightly against the open door.

"Need help?" Merlin nods and I close the door. "You know, you could always have just done this..."With the mutter of a spell and a flash of gold, the room went back to how it was, all except for the broken glass.

"I don't know...it seemed to risky."

"What's life without a little edge?"

"I think I could live without a little edge once in a while." Merlin jokes.

"And that's what mead is for." Several days past before Gais's 'confession'. I watch as Merlin is dragged out of the room by Arthur...man they would be a good couple. As I exit the room, Aridian's cold hand wrapped around my wrist.

"I'm onto you girl."

"Are you sure you want to do this here? All it would take is one scream from me, one whisper that I feel violated, and you will be locked in the dungeons. I am the king's ward afterall."

"Ah so you confess your crimes."

"I have done nothing of the sort. My sister told me about how you questioned her. I just assumed that I would be next. You will get no confessions from me for I have committed no crime." And so I watched from my position behind Arthur as Aridian coughed up the toad. Definitely worth the risk you took. Merlin turned towards me with a subtle look of surprize as I raise a finger to my lips in a 'shh' motion.
