You sat on the dock, your feet dangling over the edge and your toes hitting the surface of the water. You watched as the sun began to set and the kids were finishing up another pursuit-kayaking.

The kids were quite far out and all the counsellors were in a boat with the younger ones. Well, most of the counsellors.

"Hey Y/N." Your face became red as a cherry from the sound of your name being called. The person came and took a seat next to you. You continued to blush. "Hey Jinsub." It was official now. You both were dating and you couldn't be happier. Were you scared about what your parents would think? Yes. But you have the whole summer to prepare your speech so you think that you'll be okay.

"You wouldn't believe what happened after we left the office." Jinsub turned his head as you started to tell the story.
"There was a little girl with facial differences and she was getting picked on... I made the kids apologize to her and then we talked... Her name is Ai, and she has a sister named Naila."
"Oh, yes yes yes, I saw you handle the situation." You looked at him.

You didn't think for a second that Jinsub would've been watching you.
"Why were you watching me?" You said abruptly. He shook his head with a smirk.
"I'm sorry, but I was at the other side of the room. It's hard to NOT take my eyes off of you." You shoved Jinsub playfully, you knew he was trying to get you going. "Stop it! Your such a flirt."

The sun was close to being gone, and so the kids started to dock the kayaks. You and Jinsub got up and helped the kids out, one by one. When all the kids were safe on shore, you started to walk your cabin back to the main forum before heading back to the cabins. You lined up all the kids and started a head count, that's when you noticed that someone was missing.

You redid the head count several times, yet it didn't make a difference. There was still one kid missing. As you looked at all the kids lined up, that's when you realized who it was. You turned to the kids. "Stay here, I'll be back in a moment."

You spun around and headed towards the main building. You reached the doors. You were about to enter just when you heard a bunch of little giggles. You followed the baby laughs until the creator of the laughs was right in front of you. Not just one person, but two. You shook your head in disbelief as you cleared your throat.

"My oh my. I knew I was missing one kid, but I didn't think they would be with someone else from another cabin sneaking away from their counsellors." The two youngsters stopped giggling and only stared at you.

"Taehyung... Jungkook..." Taehyung looked down shyly as Jungkook rubbed his back. "Sorry Y/N." Said Taehyung quietly. "Come on." The two boys trailed behind you back to where everyone was waiting. When you got back, your row of kids were gone. You were in so much shock that you almost passed out.

"Hey Baby." You looked over your shoulder and saw Jinsub waving at you.
He must've noticed your frantic look.
"Don't worry, I've already taken the kids to their cabin." You sighed in relief. Jinsub took ahold of your hand and you began to walk with the two boys until you heard your names being called.

"Y/N, Jinsub!" Namjoon ran towards you guys and stopped in front of you to take a breath before grabbing Jungkook and Taehyung's hand.
"Thank goodness, Dahyun told me that you disappeared and she figured that you went to go find something." Namjoon sighed.
"Or someone, in this case. Come on, let's get you two back to where you belong."

Taehyung waved goodbye as he walked with Namjoon and Jungkook back to the cabin.

When they were out of sight, you felt a pair of hands slide down to your waist. You smiled shyly as Jinsub pulled you close. "I've been waiting to kiss you all day.." You giggle at his cuteness before giving him a small peck and taking one step back.

"Jinsub... I've been doing a lot of thinking." Jinsub moved his hands from your waist and intertwined his fingers with yours instead.
"About what?"
"Us... My parents..." He tilted his head.
"What about it?"
You sighed.
"I don't know what their gonna think." Jinsub smiled slightly.
"Well, whether they accept it or not, I'm not letting you go just because of them." You stepped forward and rested your head on his chest, listening to his heartbeat.

"My heart will always beat for you... Dead or alive, I'm never leaving your side.." You never responded.

Later on that night, you were sitting outside on the porch. You checked your watch and sighed as you slid your hands in your pocket.

4am

You watched the sun as it awoke. You couldn't sleep, so you came out here. Thousands of things crossed your mind, and now that you were dating Jinsub, things felt even more complicated. Not only that but what would happen if that terrible pain returned when you were with Jinsub? You didn't want him to worry.

You sighed as you cuffed your hands around your face, squishing your cheeks together out of frustration. All you wanted was a fun, easy, and non-frustrating summer. While thinking, you hadn't noticed a certain someone next to you.

You glanced over at the person who had a small smile glued to their face. The figure smirked. "Hey cutie."
You rolled your eyes at the not-so-cute nickname. "What is it Jinsub?" He pouted. "Came to see you."

You growled. "That's what you always want." Jinsub seemed a little surprise and moved an inch closer to you as he wrapped one arm around you.
"Alright, what's happening Y/N? What's going on?" You bit your lip, trying to hold back the fountain of tears. "Us... That's what happened."

He didn't seem very convinced. You thought in your mind, as if that's the only thing going on.. I don't want to stress him out...

You straightened up your back and replaced your frown with a smile.
"Everything's perfectly fine. Its just.. I'm trying to adjust to our relationship, I don't want to let you down.." Jinsub moved behind you and pulled you backwards so you were laying against his chest, in his arms. "That all?" He asked. "Yeah.."
He chuckled.

"Well, you don't have to worry about letting me down... We'll always find a way to sort things out, so try not to think about it too much. Can you do that for me?" You closed your eyes as you felt your body drift off.
"Yes..." You spoke between yawns.
"I can..." Jinsub rested his head on top of yours as you both fell asleep in the morning light.
