Nine

Hot, Hot, Hot.

It must've been the hottest day of the month, you couldn't stand it. You were wearing a skirt along with a vest, yet the heat still nagged at you. You were halfway done with music class, but you weren't really doing anything besides listening to different genres of music.

Everyone had been crabby about the heat, but Jinsub wasn't really convinced until someone spoke face to face with him. That someone was a new girl named Aliki. You had encountered her in the hallways, but she was really nice. She obviously had her eye on Jinsub, but she also did it in a joking, fun way.

-A few days ago-

You were walking in the hallways, five minutes from being late. You had the title of "Always being late" and you didn't really mind, but what you did mind was a call home. The time was ticking, it was a race against the clock. As you were running, you heard someone call out "Excuse me" and it made you shift your head to look back.

Which was a major mistake.

You ended up stumbling over what seemed like an Invisible rock and you dropped all your things. The voice that you heard earlier drew closer.

"Oh no, I'm so sorry miss.."
When you straightened yourself up, a pair of arms handed over the stack of papers plus your binder that you dropped. You clutched them to your chest.

You examined the young student that called out a few seconds ago. She stood tall, about your height, her hair was curly and just past her shoulders. Her smile was so bright and full of joy.

She grabbed your hand and shook it enthusiastically.
  "Hello! My name is Aliki."

-Present Time-

You were so focused on the deadly heat and the new girl, you didn't realize that Jinsub was kneeled down next to you at your desk.

"Daydreaming Y/N?"
"No, just thinking."
"About what?"
"Stuff."

Jinsub smirked while he watched you as you packed your things and started to head out of the room, but you didn't make it. Not that you were expecting to anyways. Every time that grin appears on his face, you know he's planning something mischievous in his mind.

He slammed the door hard, it made you jump. You turned around and looked up, only to see Jinsub brushing his hair back and sending you smiles that were unbearable.

"You've been acting different in class lately... Is everything alright?"
"Oh yes, everything is fine. That new girl really seems to have it in for you."

Oh crab cakes.

Thoughts began to rush through your head like a relay, making you regret every word that leaped through your mouth. The way that you replied to Jinsub made it seem like you were jealous.

If it was said that you weren't even 1% jealous, then that would be an instant lie.

Jinsub made his way closer to you to the point where your back was flat against the door.

"Is someone jealous?"
"No."
"For some reason, I have doubt in that."
"You don't know anything about me."
"Of course I do. You have a brother, your parents are always gone for work, your friends including your brother are the closest and plan on making music, and your going to be a councillor at summer camp this year with me by your side."

Was this normal? Of course it's not normal. Your music teacher along with a camp partner shouldn't know everything about you.

Was it slightly creepy? Yes, yes it was.
Did he make your heart flutter? Yes, yes he did.

Jinsub Kissed the top of your head before opening the door widely for you. You did your best to hide a flirtatious smile that laid behind your fake frown as you left his room. You couldn't resist the feeling of a little bit of happiness filling up your heart. When you walked down the hallway, you were incognizant of the fact that someone had been watching the whole entire locale that occurred in the music room.

•Time Skip•
You hurriedly leaped around the kitchen, trying your best to throw anything together that was edible. Your parents had called to say that they were going to be home late at night, and they asked if you could clump something together for supper. Of course you didn't mind, but you felt rushed as you were an hour behind of when you should've started cooking.

You came home and immediately crashed on the couch. You were exhausted from the day and you went for it, you took a cat nap. But a "Cat nap" ended up becoming a full hour sleep. Your parents called before you went to sleep, but the cat nap still seemed like a good idea at the time.

So now here you were, panicking as your parents could be home anytime soon, but what would their reaction be if you had failed to do what they asked? Well, you already knew the exact face they would show.

Nothing else but disappointment.

Disappointment indeed, you've seen that face more than enough. As you began to wrap up your quickly put-together supper, you heard Isaac's baby voice speak out.

The fussing had started.

"Y/N! When will supper be ready???? I'm hungry!!!!" You snarled while grabbing a plate from the cabinet and placing a glob of food on it.

"It's ready it's ready!" You walked over to Isaac who was at the dining room table and placed it in front of him. You served him a glass of juice and sighed as you leaned against the table.

Now you were definitely ready for another nap, and this time it'll be way longer than an hour. You sat down next to Isaac as he ate his supper. All of a sudden, he stopped and looked at you. You sat upright, examining the room. Something was burning. You pushed off that thought.

Everything was turned off right? Yes, of course it was. Isaac turned to you and started to stutter, "Hey Y/N, I think you forgot to turn the stove off."
"Don't be ridiculous, it's your imagination."

But was it?

"Y/N..."
"Cut it out Isaac."
"Y/N, the stove!"
"Isaac, I said enou-"

You gasped in shock when you saw smoke rising from the kitchen. Actually, to be correct, the smoke was rising from the microwave.

Surprising?
Yes, yes it was.

You ran to the microwave and flung open the door, releasing the smoke from the tiny little box.

You were unable to even think about anything, you just reacted to the situation and did your best. You were the only "Grown up" at this moment, and if the house managed to burn down, the blame would all be on you.

You took out the little dish that contained food and tossed it into the sink. You opened up all the windows and yelled at Isaac to get out of the kitchen.

"Isaac get out! I don't want you breathing the smoke!" He quickly obliged, but not without snatching his plate of food and running up the stairs towards his room. You rolled your eyes as you fanned out the smoke.

You walked towards the sink and shook your head.

"How Can a plate... With food... Catch on fire?" That's when your smartness returned to you.

You looked closer at the dish and grumbled in annoyance. "I put in a plastic plate?!?!"

You smacked yourself on the forehead just as you heard the front door creaking open.

"Honey! We're home!"

You sighed, feeling defeated. "Oh no..."

Give some suggestions if you have any! Should I make like, an ideas book or poem... Or drawing? Or maybe a book cover type book? I need ideas...
