I groaned as I woke up, feeling someone shift in the sheets beside me. I froze, wondering what had happened. I still had my clothes on, which was a massive relief. I glanced at the clock on the table beside me, seeing as it was only 8:46 am. I looked around, and realized what was going on.

Five's arms were wrapped around my waist, and his head was cuddled into my neck, leaving his soft brown hair to tickle my chin and cheek. My right arm was wrapped around his waist, and my left hand was entangled in his hair, our legs tangled together. I felt Five shift and I heard him exhale peacefully as he tightened his hold and murmured something.

"Don't go,,,,y/n..." I looked down at him, my nose tickling his hair and making me laugh. "Five, what's wrong?" He didn't answer me, instead wrapping his arms around my neck and kissing me on the cheek lightly, much to my surprise. A light pink blush dusted my cheeks, and I pulled Five closer to me, cuddling my face in Five's chest. Five just snored a bit, smiling in his sleep as I dozed off.

We were woken up very violently about five hours later when Meg and Vanya both turned every light in Five's room on, and they leapt on the two of us, making both Five and I yelp in pain. I saw Meg's black hair in my face as Five tried to push Vanya off, and I managed to roll Meg off of me onto the floor at the same time Five pushed Vanya on top of Meg on the floor.

I snickered as I saw the two of them blush a bright red, making me laugh as Meg kissed Vanya softly. Five was stammering behind me as he saw them both, and I carefully took his hand as I we got up and walked away, the two of us heading down to the kitchen slowly.

We saw Klaus in the kitchen, his eyes red and bloodshot...while he was tied to a chair. I ran over to them carefully, and crouched in front of them. "Klaus...are you okay?" Their eyes unsteadily met mine, and I saw tear trails on their cheeks. "Klaus...I'm so sorry about..." They just stared off into space, murmuring Dave's name under his breath.

I stepped back to talk to Five, tears beginning to prick at my eyes. "Five...Five, what's happening to Klaus?" He sighed. "I told you...he's trying to get sober to talk to Dave." I got some water from him, and I carefully made them drink some, clearing up their vision. "It's...it's okay, Klaus." I patted them on the shoulder, and walked away after leaving a bottle of water in Klaus's grasp.

We both walked out after making some coffee, only to hear Vanya and Meg fighting in the atrium area of the academy. My breath caught, until I realized that it was them fighting over where to go for lunch. "Meg, we should go to that coffee shop!" "Vanya, isn't there that new Chinese place on 27th and Wilson?" She nodded, and they both walked out holding hands and blushing like idiots.

I shook my head after them, laughing. "Dorks." Five gently took his hand in mine. "y/n, i know we have soulmates in this world...but...I like you. Obviously, we can't stay together if we have different soul mates, but..." I leapt forward and pressed my lips to Five's cheek (ha you thought) as he blushed bright red.

"I know what you're trying to say, Five. And yes...I like you too. But...I don't know if we can ever truly be together with this soulmate thing." Five looked at the ground nervously, and I held his hand softly. "I'm so sorry."

I know the chapter's really short, but I really want to write the soulmate section haha😅
