"(Y/n), come on, get up." Eridan's voice wakes you.

You blink your eyes open and look over at Eridan, who had poked his head into your tent to wake you up.

"We have to pack up and get going," Eridan explains, "we'll eat while we walk."

You nod and after that Eridan exits. You hop out and begin to pack up your bed roll. Rose wasn't in your tent, probably outside somewhere. Once you finish packing up inside you put your boots on and exit, bag on your back. Now it was time to hurry up and pack up this tent.

You fumble along as you pack up the tent, listening to Eridan and Karkat argue as they pack up at their tent.

"You're doing it wrong!"

"No I'm not!"

"You're supposed to fold it like that!"

"Fuck you!"

You snicker at the childish arguing. You had already finished packing your tent and grabbed out some jerky for breakfast, sharing it with the now returned Rose.

"Do you guys want some help?" you ask.

"No!" they both exclaim.

You roll your eyes and put out the camp fire properly. By that time the both of them had managed to pack up the tent and they were now ready to leave.

"Here," You say as you toss the pair small wrapped packages of jerky, "let's move."

The sun was now just beginning to rise up, so you were now preparing yourself for the heat that was to come. You had already crossed the long wooden bridge and was now well on your way to the Doom Kingdom. When you had ran away from the Rage Kingdom, you had gone around through the outskirts of the Space Kingdom, through some neutral land before the Time Kingdom and the Void Kingdom instead of going the path you were currently passing through.

You were almost dragging yourself across the plains. Despite the fact that you had gotten a fair amount of sleep, you were now tired as hell. This brought back memories from when you were travelling through the Void Kingdom, which had similar terrain. When you had travelled through you had fallen down a hole, which some idiot had dug, and broke your arm. You wandered through the abandoned plains, since there were like, three villages in the whole Kingdom. Eventually you had reached the Hope Kingdom and gotten help. You shiver at the memory.

'I sure hope that the next kingdom is cooler than this one.' Rose sighs, still sitting on your shoulder.

"Yeah, me too." You reply.

You hope that the next kingdom had a few more trees than this one. Sweating was one thing that you did not enjoy.

You look up to see that there were quite a fair amount of trees in front of you. The grass also seemed to drop.

"Hey, I think the Doom Kingdom is coming up!" you exclaim happily.

Your speed visibly picks up as your excitement picks up. You ignore the heat of the sun in order to get closer to the trees.

"Now you walk faster." You hear Karkat complain.

You were way too excited to escape this blasted heat. Maybe there will be more shade and lakes to swim in. You didn't know what you were going to see when you got there, but you didn't care. Your felt the adrenaline running through your veins.

"Geez you're excited to get out of this kingdom, aren't you?" Eridan teases.

You look over at him and laugh sarcastically.

"Are you not?" you ask.

"You have a point." He nods.

The edge of the kingdom was now only a few metres away. As soon as you step foot into the kingdom you freeze.

"SWAMP!?"
