three - I'm Kind, Never Take It As A Weakness
Her pants were audible in her room of solitude when leaning over her undone bed and hands folded together loosely. Her damp locks stuck to her sticky forehead as her heavy lids hung low while loosing focus on the floor.
Brandi returned to her share room after another lesson of Arkadia's self defense class and she decided her best way to relax was to do so in her room.
Brandi wasn't in the arms that were known to be Bellamy's last night and it felt foreign, making it hard for her to sleep.
Although she knew how strong Bellamy was as an individual, she couldn't help but worry about him.
The archer thought the best way in releasing his tight grip from her thought was to distract herself with work.
It worked. Smoothly actually. But now she was left with nothing else but her thoughts and she knew she needed to get her hands busy quick before fretting over him again.
Brandi's dull brown eye's flickered when two bickering sky people stormed into her room.
''Brandi, please come with us-''
''She's got her hands full around here, she doesn't need to come'' Octavia defends by cutting Jasper's plea in the process.
''How about let the girl speak for herself?'' He retorts with anger evident lace in his features.
''What the hell are you guy's talking about?'' Brandi asks with furrow brows.
''Nyko was attacked by Ice Nation. He needs medical supplies that are only held at Mount Weather which doesn't involve you under any circumstances'' Octavia explains shortly, getting straight to the point of her argument.
''Under any circumstances?'' Jasper repeats in disbelief. ''She has just a right to come as I do. We've been played and tortured at that place. We could use some closure.''
''No, you are the one who needs the closure, Jasper'' Octavia corrects with the point of her finger.
His features fall flat and the sight caused goosebumps to rise on the girls skin. After Jasper meltdown last night, he seems to be in a state where he could do something that be definite to regret.
''Octavia, how about you wait outside?'' Brandi ask soothingly while slowly standing from her spot on the bed. ''Give us some time to talk.''
Raising a brow out of uncertainty, she gazes back and forth between Brandi and Jasper.
Brandi could sense her doubt, so she places a reassuring grasp on her arm. ''It's okay. I got this.''
She locks contact with an understanding before leaving the two to speak.
Jasper lets out a shaky breath, one he didn't even realize he was holding until the younger Blake was gone.
''Sit with me'' Brandi request softly with a small tug at his sleeve.
She was concerned when the windows to his soul shifted uncontrollably while fidgeting slowly under her touch.
''Just sit down, okay? That's all I ask.''
He tightly purses his lips when looking down at his worried friend, causing the ceasing lines on her forehead as she wonders what was going through his mind at the moment.
He nods, moving with her to sit on the floor height bed. He sat in an angle while Brandi one of her legs propped on her bed, sitting under the one that was hanging off of the bed.
''Why are you so persistent at thought of me coming with you to Mount Weather?'' She ask, her touch loose against the edge of his sleeve.
His frighten gaze shifts lower until it stops sorrow in his lap and whispers ''I can't go alone.''
''Why?''
He looks up to her and that's when she really notice how sunken his face was. He was so fragile during they're conversation, it was hard to believe that Jasper has the natural act of a jack ass.
''I just can't'' He whispers again with his voice cracking towards the end. ''You're the only other person who understands, Brandi. Even if Monty and Miller or anyone else was with me, they don't get my pain like you do.''
It's like the sky people had forgotten what the pain of losing a loved one felt like, considering that possibly everyone had one that was floated up in space.
'Pain was common with grounders. Something we have to cover with a strong facade for our enemies out on the battlefield. I'm used to covering it, but I will never get use to the pain. That's not something you can automatically cover and forget. It's you're burden that takes time to get rid of.'
''Jasper'' She starts, a weak voice that was barely heard above a whisper. ''I can't go back there.''
Brandi can tell his tough persona revealing itself in front of her as he furrows his brows at her. ''What? Why not?''
''That place-''
Brandi stops herself from going any further and sucks in her bottom lip between her set of her teeth.
Within the three months, everyone's done they're best to dig the memories of Mount Weather deep within and didn't dare discuss it's matters.
Meaning the chance for anyone to know that Brandi was rape, was rare. That is, until Bellamy attempts to get a little handy.
Of course, a story for another time.
''I will be right by you're side. We can recover together'' He assures desperately. Anything for her to go with him.
'What he doesn't know is that going back to the place will not recover anything. Horrid memories will flash once stepping back in and I'm not ready for that. I don't think I will ever be ready to face that place again.'
Letting her bottom lip go, she shakes her head. ''I'm sorry, Jasper.''
His breathing level accelerated excessively by the way his chest heaved visibly in front of the girl. ''I thought.. I thought you understood me. I thought you were different from everyone else here.''
A sunken feeling dawned over chest, a ripple feeling taking over. ''Jasper, I do understand you. But that place isn't where I need to be right now. Not after everything that's happen.''
''So welcoming Bellamy through the door with a home cook pie is exactly what you need to do instead of helping you're friend'' He remarks while ripping his hands far from Brandi's reach.
Brandi's anger started to level with Jasper as he loops his way with shame.
''I'm not doing this with you.''
''Of course not'' He scoffs. ''Because you're like everybody else.''
She swiftly stands from the bed and takes a step away from him, scowling down at the boy. ''You need to get the hell out of here while you still can.''
He chuckles dryly. That same spine shivering chuckle back with the group from Ice Nation. ''Or what? You're gonna threaten me with arrows?''
She holds her head high while keeping her disgusting scowl. ''Damn right.''
''Well, let me save you the trouble'' He mumbles and gets up from his spot as well.
He heads straight for the door, not taking one look back when slamming her door shut.
Brandi lets out a distress breath while running her fingers through her tangled hair.
The heavy weight of stress was an odd feeling washing over the brunette. Grounders blocked emotions and they're needs and communicated with logic, which is what had Brandi stand out the most.
As a child, she thought most with her heart and not her head. The grounder knew she would shame they're union, so none were surprise when she discarded herself from the society.
They were in fact, surprise of how long it took her to do so.
Another story for another time.
× × ×
WANHEDA -
a commander of death
CLARKE -
not only burned a village, burned Anya's warriors, killed Finn and the civilians known to be the mountain men.
ICE NATION -
worse than Trikru. more aggressive and befriend the term of death.
Brandi drawn a line from Wanheda and Ice Nation towards the center that held the capitalized name known to be Clarke's with the help of a neon yellow highlighter.
On the line connected to Ice Nation and Clarke, she wrote the word power and ends that note with a question mark.
After her dreadful encounter with Jasper, she was left back to her thoughts and they seem to progressively grow thanks to the help of Jasper Jordan.
She thought her best bet was to get out of her messy room that she and Bellamy were too busy and or tired to clean and wander aimlessly around base.
This lead her to the Chancellor's room that held supplies for such as note taking.
There was a clean and available board stored in the back of the room, so she took it to her advantage to figure some things out.
Brandi found it weird that the Ice Nation were searching for a Wanheda.
Through the time of settlement from Mount Weather, Brandi was well aware of the deaths Clarke had seized, Finn's included which she found especially hard to believe in.
But back to original topic, there was a reason she had Ice Nation written on the colorful board filled with her theories.
They're time of peace was up and a newer enemy arises.
Before anything officially bad happens, she needs to figure out some precautions that won't resolve the manner of death.
Her chances are less than likely since that death is Ice Nations protocol.
''Brandi!''
She whips around with her heart leaping in the process at the abrupt sound.
Kane stood there looking more worried than angered.
''Where's Abby?'' He asks while scanning the room.
Brandi furrows her brows and although it's not her business to tell, she couldn't stop the words that slipped past her lips ''She's not back yet?''
His features fell when asking ''Brandi, where is Abby?''
Her lips forming into a oval shape and drops the marker, dashing towards the door with a sly past from Kane.
Kane chases her down the hall until she stops when seeing who was occupying medical.
''Bellamy?''
