six - I Am Patricide
''Brandi Alessia Potter!''
The gates burst though with possibly half the population from Polis City, Lexa included.
She lead her people with rage, seething within her steps that were a mile away from the structure that was known as the Ark.
Brandi arched a brow when turning to Bellamy, exchanging the same confused glances before storming out of they're shared bedroom.
''Brandi!''
The two turn to see Abby meeting them near the end of the hall, accompanied by Kane who were both more worried than confused.
''What is going on?''
''I don't know'' She tilts her head to the side when mumbling ''But I'm about to find out.''
Bellamy, Abby and Kane trail closely behind Brandi as she exposes herself to many of her people.
''What The Hell Is Going On?'' Bellamy exclaims, taking a protective stand in front of Brandi when Lexa approaches.
''Brandi Potter, I hereby sentence you to death in allowing you're own Heda to almost die for being a scapegoat.''

earlier...
''I don't have much time, so I'll be quick''Clarke prompts, her voice wavering over the walkie talkie Brandi handed her before being quickly escorted out of Polis City. ''They captured the Ice Nations leader, Queen Nia. During the meeting, she kept barking at me for a Patricide.''
While fumbling with her bottom lip, she vaguely mutters ''Patricide..''
''Yeah, not only that but Lexa declared a fight. One taken to the death.''
''Oh my..'' Brandi breathes out while using that same hand to rub against her temples, bowing her head down between her open knees as she sat on her bed.
Bellamy left the room not long ago to do his casual morning routines, leaving Brandi to herself to discuss matters with Clarke.
She lets out another puff of breath and focuses her gaze on the closed door. ''What are we gonna do?''
''You, are gonna do nothing'' She starts. ''I'm gonna find a way to prevent this fight.''
''And if you can't?''
There was a moment of silence on the other side.
''We don't have a choice'' She lets out. ''Because our lives depend on this fight.''
She opens her lips with a sharp inhale, ready to speak when a motion of doors opening in the distance was heard in the stilt silence.
''Clarke, I gotta go.''
She didn't wait for a response when tucking the contraption underneath her pillow and taking an abrupt stand when Bellamy came in.
His features twisted with an arch brow at her secretive state.
''You okay?'' He chuckles almost dryly.
''Mhm'' She hums with her lips sucked in. His stare lingers on her as she reaches over for her boots.
''You coming with me to the memoriam?'' He ask as he walks over to the cherry wood dresser that had some chips and dents in it. He was reaching inside for another one of his loose t-shirts.
''Uh, no actually'' She answers when bending over to zip up her boots. ''I promise I'd help Octavia with a few things around base.''
But what Brandi really means is that Octavia, Raven and herself are gonna chill because they all promised a girls day today, no matter of the circumstances.
She lifts herself from her position with a small grunt, picking up her pants that were suddenly on a lower part of her hips than they should.
The palm of Bellamy's hand slams against the cover of Iliad, holding a tight grip against the edges to the point that the veins on his arms were more than visible.
He was tired of her guarded ways and wants nothing more than to yell at her for it.
But he knows her boundaries and he knows her limits.
''Listen, if you want me to go then just ask, Bellamy'' She lets out with annoyance laced in her tone.
''I Shouldn't Have To Ask!'' He exclaims. ''You know how I feel about this! Yet you think I'll be just fine going by myself.''
She shakes her head before stomping her foot when turning to him, connecting a gaze that locked instantly. ''I understand that you feel bad. Gina didn't deserve that- Nobody deserves that. But none of that is you're fault.''
His adams apple bobs slowly, ripping his contact from hers towards the book he was gifted with from the now deceased. ''I told her to stay there.''
''Because you thought it was the right thing to do. No one would have guessed for another grounder to be inside those walls.''
He doesn't dare make another movement, leaving Brandi to do otherwise.
It only took her another set of steps to now stand in front Bellamy, as she reached out to cup his face.
His head tilted only centimeters because of the noticeable height difference, displaying his sunken features to his companion.
''I'm sorry'' She whispers.
'I will never be the one whose scared to admit of being wrong. I grew up to take in pride of myself and my actions, and if my actions were morally wrong, I have a right to confess.'
''I'll cancel my plans and we can head out whenever you're ready.''
The corner of her lips curve into a small though genuine smile.
He mirrors her smile, thinking it was only impossible to find someone like her through all the madness.
To her, it seemed slow, but his lips were on hers in an instant. They were rough and smooth, but it was perfect. He lead the kiss into steady circular motions.
'These were the moments we savor together. It was nothing but pure innocence and no rush to it. And I like it this way. Because every other thing or being around us are irrelevant. It's him and I that matters.'
A soft giggle slips past her lips when Bellamy drops a hold of the books that held wonders of Greek mythology and picking her up to where he has her legs wrapped around his waist.
''Bellamy!'' She shrieks in between her laughter when he throws her onto the bed.
She watches with amusement and admiration as he fights the urge of revealing his wide grin. One that'll reach his eyes.
He plops beside her and spoons her from behind, snuggling his face into the crook of her neck.
''Okay..'' She giggles. ''You and I both know we have places to get to.''
He lets out a small moan when snuggling closer within her. ''A few more minutes.''
She looks away with a snort. ''I can't with you.''

The grip Bellamy had on Brandi's hand grew tighter with every second that passed within the memoriam.
''All that's certain is that we die. How we die, is up to us'' Pike starts off. He stood in the front with a tablet in his grip, listed with the names of the lost beloved souls.
Brandi didn't feel uneasy of him, being that's he's totally opposed of grounders. But if Bellamy thinks positive of him, than Brandi can't be one to judge.
''Who will speak for Iris Jones?''
A boy who was wearing a red sweatshirt stood and in seconds replaced Pike's spot, revealing his sunken dirt covered features.
''Iris was strong with a knife'' He starts off, fiddling with the swiss army knife in his grip. ''She saved my life. I'm sorry I couldn't do the same for her.''
He whips out the knife and places it on a table that held the rest reminiscing items.
Pike takes over his spot once the boy returns to his seat, right next to Miller's.
''We will miss Iris. May we meet again.''
''May we meet again'' Brandi repeats with everyone in unison.
''Who will speak for Gina Martin?''
Brandi could feel Bellamy's presence immensely tense beside her.
She follows his gaze downwards that landed back on to that same book. That same book he couldn't let go of.
Lifting they're intertwined fingers, she rubs her thumb against the back of his hand and places a chaste against it.
He squeezes her small hands compared to his, assuring her that he was fine.
At least, that's what he was telling himself.
His touch slip past her when standing, going up to the front with head still hanging low.
When he turned to face the crowd, he almost looked scared. Like he was scared to face reality.
''Gina was real. She always saw the light, even here. She deserved better.''
Brandi's mood started to dampen when he trails over to the table of items. ''May we meet again.''
''May we meet again'' She murmurs, lost in thought.
'I wonder what Bellamy would leave as a symbol of me if I ever died.'
She was ripped from her thoughts when a group of guard marched in the room. They dashed directly to Pike.
Brandi looked behind her when she spotted Lincoln trailing towards the back.
She shifts around rapidly from the front to the back and all around her before getting up and heading towards him.
''What's going on?''
He keeps his stone cold features, leaving an arch brow in place. ''Trikru warriors set camp about a mile away. They didn't know until just now.''
''Grounders are here'' Pike prompts when taking a stand beside Kane and Abby who sat expectantly at the news. ''An army three hundred strong, camped less than a mile away from here.''
''We know.''
Pike's features shortly contorts. ''What?''
Brandi rubs the back of her neck and turns back to Lincoln. ''He doesn't look too happy.''
''Sir, are we under attack?'' Monty's mother questions along with the murmurs that went and about.
''No, we are not under attack'' Kane assures with a stand as everyone stood as well. ''The Commander sent a peacekeeping force to ensure that we can defend against any further attacks from the Ice Nation.''
''Peacekeeping force?'' Pike spits out of mild manner. ''Even you can't be this naive, Marcus.''
Furrowing her brows, she lets out a scoff. ''Excuse me?''
Lincoln held a tight grip on her arm when she attempted to take a step forward.
''Watch your tongue'' Abby snaps, shifting her gaze from Pike and to Brandi. ''The both of you. You're can't be this impulsive to the next chancellor.''
Abby turns to her people. ''We're all grieving. This has been hard on all of us, but we can't let anger drive our policy.''
Pike points a finger at her. ''Anger is our policy.''
Others started to agree, taking more of a stand from Pike's perspective. Brandi couldn't imagine how this would end.
''You!''
She pointing back at the boy who spoke for Iris.
''You're one of my students in my self defense class. I taught you- I taught all of my peers that we can't fight with anger. It only leads to stupidity..'' She turns to shoot a hardening glare at Pike. ''Stupidity that'll get you killed.''
Pike steps a step forward, mimicking her intense stare. ''Is that a threat? Because if they're here to defend us, like you claim, then tell you're people to go home. We can defend ourselves!''
She clenches her jaw at the riot he was causing.
''You two..''
Lincoln and Brandi to a man who was pointing an accusing finger at them. ''You don't belong here.''
Although the two kept they're features hard and unfazed, they felt hurt because the two actually considered the skaikru as they're second home.
''Now, wait a second-'' Bellamy starts but he was cut off when that same yelled again.
''My Boy Is Dead!''
Brandi lets out a grunt, her body practically limping to the ground when a rock was thrown at her head.
''Hey!''
She kept her jaw clenched as her vision blurred, losing balance over herself.
''Come on'' Lincoln mutters with his lips close to her ear as he carries her out of the chaotic room.

''Brandi-''
''I want to press charges'' Brandi seethes as Abby worked with the stitching on her forehead.
''Of course you would..'' Pike mumbles but it was more to himself. But Brandi heard and it honestly irked her nerves that he had the audacity to stand within five feet from her.
''I'm not doing this because of my native tongue. I'm doing it because not only was I falsely accused, but I was attacked. I'd be damned if that man was going to blame me for his son's death.''
Kane nods at her reasonings. ''You have every right to do so. We need to set an example.''
''Yeah, we do'' Lincoln chimes in. Though he disagreed with Brandi's decision.
She was thinking with her emotions and not with logic. But up until this point, she doesn't care. She's tired of giving mercy to those who won't deserve it.
The group of five turned when Bellamy and Octavia stormed in.
''Are you okay?'' Bellamy instantly asks once he's by her side, cupping her within his hands but she continued to glare at Pike.
''No charges'' Lincolns speaks for her.
Pursing her lips tightly, she tilts her head to the side. ''That's not really up to you''
''Bilaik ste chit emo wahh, Brandi. Gon osir laik Trikru'' Lincoln warns, speaking within they're language so Pike wouldn't comprehend the communication.
But Kane, Abby, Octavia and Bellamy did. They can see where he was coming from with this.
''Ai nou carr'' She replies, no monotone heard within her voice.
Pike looks almost bewildered as his orbs shift back and forth from either or that spoke.
''Lisane kom em Brandi, beja'' Octavia pleads. Brandi was practically a sky person with the way she handled herself. She wouldn't take it if her people looked at Brandi the wrong way.
She connects her gaze back with Pike. ''No charges.''
He nods. ''Thank you.''
Pike slips past Octavia and Kane, unfazed by the intense and obvious stare Nyko was shooting him.
''We'll leave you guys to it'' Abby implies before taking a step out with Kane.
Once the adults have left the room, she felt a little more relieved. She relaxed into Bellamy's touch as he tilts her head to examine her fresh cut.
''Was it farm station?'' Octavia ask from behind, standing next to Lincoln.
She shakes her head. ''It doesn't matter.''
''I'm sorry'' He whispers. Her orbs snap towards his when hearing this.
A soft chuckle slips past her lips as she slightly shakes her head. ''For what?''
''I was trying to get to you, but everyone kept stopping me-''
''Don't pin this on yourself. You're not the one who threw that rock at me.''
He sucks in his bottom lips between his set of teeth. He couldn't help but blame everything on himself lately.
It was sweet at first, but now Brandi was getting annoyed by it.
He opens his mouth to say something, but he wasn't sure if now was the right time to say it. He wasn't sure how'd she'd react to it.
She lifts a hand to touch one of his own to pull him from his thoughts. ''What?''
He swallows his words back down with a shake of his head. ''Nothing. Let's just head back to the room and take a lazy day.''
A smile takes over her lips as his arms wrap from under her back and calves.
''Be careful, you two'' Octavia calls teasingly.
Her eyelids flutter rapidly when rolling her eyes.
Though Bellamy didn't seem to mind. In fact he's been meaning to question her about that.
Wile making they're way to the Ark, the man who caused the scar on Brandi's head was in sight. He was staring along with all the others who opposed of the grounders.
''Just ignore him'' Bellamy whispers, not taking a single glance his way as they enter the structure of the Ark.
''Oomph'' She mumbles when Bellamy drops her onto they're shared bed.
Her legs were hanging off of the mattress with her hands laying on top of her abdomen as he goes over and close the door.
''You know what would make you awesome-''
Bellamy snickers at this, turning back to her with an amused sneer. ''Get on my level, Brandi.''
Her features drop, but the humorous glint in her eye showed the hint of playfulness. ''Take off of my shoes, please?''
''You're funny'' He chuckles, kicking off his own shoes.
Her bottom lip is plumped out into a pout as she whines ''Baby.''
His heart started pounding against his chest at the pet name. The name occurred on more than one occasion, but it wasn't often when Brandi called him so.
But when she did, it would drive him crazy.
He lets out a breath when kneeling in front of her feet, unzipping the material in a matter of seconds.
''Anything else I should take off for you?'' He asks, his hooded eye's looking up at her lazy frame that leaned against the wall.
She stiffens at the sudden change of tone. The playfulness diminished into lust. A term that's also occurred to the two on more than one occasion.
She shook her head. ''Bellamy, I'm not ready for that. Not yet.''
This tempted his nerves. He understand that given her lack of experience, she's not exactly the one to jump the gun so quickly.
But it's the same excuse every time, and the more that she says it, the less the meaning has behind it.
Without necessarily thinking, he throws her feet away from his touch and stands in his spot, letting out a more distress breath.
''What the hell?''
''Forget it'' He mumbles to himself. He than walks out the room, the slam of the door echoing into the thickening silence.

There was a sudden dip in the mattress that Brandi decided it would be best to not show any attention to.
''Love..'' He whispers, barely touching the flesh of her arm but she jerks herself from his motions.
Brandi was laying on her side, her body only centimeters from the wall as she was facing the wall itself.
She had both knees propped and arms crossed against her chest, enjoying the warmth of the provided blanket from underneath.
''I didn't mean to storm off like that..''
''Just stop, Bellamy'' She seethes. She sits up from her position, only angling her head to look back at him. ''I couldn't provide help around base today because you wanted me to go that memoriam, which only ended up with me getting hurt. I don't want to have sex with you and it's suddenly the end of the world.''
He sits up with her so they can feel comfortable with the eye level. ''I'm sorry that I did what I did. I will wait as long as I can but I can't just keep hearing that you're not ready.''
'I'm sorry that I had to keep my secret from him. I never told him what Cage did. I never told anybody what Cage did. But it was three months ago, so what's done is done. There's nothing no one can do now so just mentioning it is a waste of breath.'
She lets out another with arched brows. ''I'm not doing this with you. Not now.''
She climbs over him and off of the bed and retrieved for her boots again.
''We can't just keep avoiding this, Brandi'' He prompts, standing behind her with arms out and raised.
She swiftly turns to him with a finger already poking into his chest, well prepare to come back when a voice rang throughout camp.
''Brandi Alessia Potter!''
The gates burst though with possibly half the population from Polis City, Lexa included.
