Animal Addition
Lukas decided to call for help from the magic trio.
Thanks to Emil's advertising, there is going to be a bunch more customers going to the café.
It was possibly going to be the busiest.
They would need all the help they can get.
In celebration to having lots of new customers and probably hitting their highest.
England brought over the animal suits to dress up.
Animals seem to appeal the most to kids or to those who really like cute things.
They can be for all ages because of that.
Lukas and Emil dressed up in bunny suits.
"Wait, no one will even see me, why do I have to wear one too?" Emil whined, not wanting to do the dishes in an extremely layered suit which reached to his wrists.
"So that if they do peek in they'll see that we're all working hard." Lukas replied, drawing whiskers and noses for everyone.
"Oh no, you're not going to get that marker near me!!" Emil hissed.
"Yes I will."
"No."
"Yes."
".... Ugh, fine."
Arthur had the cat costume and Vlad the bat.
Vladmir really wanted a bat costume just so he could continue with getting weirdoes at the café much to Lukas' dismay.
Before he could actually protest and argue however, the shift started.
Arthur as the cashier,
Vlad as the cook ,
Emil as the dishwasher and Lukas as the waiter.
There was already a line up at the door and the moment they opened, customers dashed in, eager to have a taste of the sweets at the café.
Arthur played it off cooly answering all of their questions and orders.
The tables were pretty much instantly filled.
The café was extremely lively, bursting with Bussiness.
Lukas was scurrying around, getting people's orders at the table with his practiced smile.
It didn't really look like a smile that much.
It's more of a side smile then anything, but it works.
When Mathias showed up he was a bit disappointed to see that his favourite table at the café was taken.
He begrudgingly sat at the available table which was right in the center of the room, not that he doesn't like it.
He just prefers the table near the windows so he can see people walk about in their day.
But now that he was in the middle, he can steal glances towards Lukas now, so it was a win-win.
The staffs at the café seemed to be going for an animal theme today, as his favourite pastry was added with a small cat.
He glanced over at Lukas again in his bunny suit.
It was oh so tempting, the bunny ears cutely poking out of his head, along with the drawn on whiskers and freckles with marker.
There were so many people, and Mathias stayed patient, understanding that.
He looked around at all of the people.
Some he recognized from school, others not so much.
"Hello, welcome to Magic Bliss Café, what would you like?"
Mathias couldn't help hut eavesdrop from the table beside him.
Berwald was sitting there.
They can tolerate each other, but the tension suddenly thickened.
Let's just say that they didn't get along very well with each other...
"Hmm... Wh't would you recc'mend?" He asked.
"I'd recommend the wheat buns with a touch of honey." Lukas 'smiled'.
"Then I'll t'ke that." Berwald said, his eyes tracing up and down Lukas' figure.
Mathias noticed and was giving him a glare.
Lukas moved on and went to Mathias' table, repeating the process.
"The usual!" The dane answered giving a chuckle.
Lukas nodded before placing the orders at the tabletop of the kitchen and dashed out with the trays and plates of food. Mathias never looked away from Lukas.
"Wow... The p'stry is as sweet as you."
Berwald said.
"Oh. Thanks?"
"Hmm. There's s'mething in your h'ir."
He reached towards Lukas' hair pretending to pick out a small bug or something.
It was just an excuse to touch the Norwegian's hair and Mathias seethed at Berwald for doing so.
It seems like he has a love rival already.
Then again, maybe they both don't even have a chance, Lukas might not even be gay.
"What was it?" Lukas asked.
"Just a sm'll fly. "
"Oh, okay. Thank you."
Lukas gave out the rest of the pastries and drinks to everyone else.
Mathias looked over at Berwald annoyed.
"Stay away from Lukas."
"Why?"
"He's mine."
"Mhmm. Really?"
"..."
Berwald smirked at Mathias.
He waved Lukas over.
"Is there anything I could help you with?"
"Yeah. Are you s'eing some'ne?"
"No..."
"Ok'y. Can I have the b'll please? And your ph'ne number?"
"Haha, maybe." Lukas said, he shivered a bit under the other's intimidating presence.
The violet eyed boy handed the other the bill of a few dollars and wrote his phone number on the back.
Berwald pulled out a five dollar bill and left it at that, not bothering to take the change.
Mathias sighed, and after paying left the café, glancing at Lukas quickly before leaving.
He knows he can't force himself onto the other.
He'll wait for fate to decide.
