-Third Person POV-

Ever since Mana saw their new enemy, Regina, she was so hopelessly in love. Regina wasn't shy about showing her affection, but it came off as more of a childish interest in a subject.

One day, the team was fighting an enemy that Regina had created. After the monster was defeated, Cure Heart had a clear shot to hit Regina. "Now, Heart! Do it now!" says Cure Sword.

Mana hesitated as she looked at the dazed Regina, still under her father's evil influence. Mana brought her hands down and her attack defused. She sank to the ground in defeat, knowing that she didn't have the strength to hurt the one she loves.

This is going to be that scene in both characters' points of view.

-Regina's POV-

I wish I could control my actions right now, but the spell my daddy put on me is controlling how I act. Cure Heart had a clear opening to hit me, as I was on the ground defenseless.
She looked at me like she was mentally battling herself, and her magic defused as she sank to the ground.

The real me wanted to walk over to her and comfort her, but the evil me just cackled and called her pathetic before leaving.

-Mana's POV-

I had my attack powered up in my hands, and Cure Sword told me when to shoot. I looked at Regina's red eyes, missing when they were blue.
Eventually, I brought my hands down and plumped to the ground.

Regina laughs and says, "You can't even finish the job! You're pathetic!" and leaves, still laughing.
Cure Sword walks over to me in an angry way and says, "Heart, you could've gotten her, but you decided to take mercy?! I'm leaving!" and transforms back into Makoto.

Aguri shakes her head in disappointment, and Rikka and Alice look at me sadly.
"I'm sorry, guys. I have to go..." I say before they can stop me. I detransform and run home crying. I know my Mom and Dad will be asleep, so I don't worry about them seeing me.

When I get home, I lock my bedroom door and cry myself to sleep.

<time skip>

"Mana, darling, wake up. You'll be late for school!" I hear my mom say. "I'm not going." I say to her. "Why, sweetie?" she asks. "I want to take a day off... Please..." I say, trying not to cry. "Oh... Okay then, dear..." Mom says before walking away.

-Rikka's POV-

I was waiting for Mana before school this morning, but never saw her. I went to find Alice and asked, "Hey, have you seen Mana?" she looks at me slightly worried and said, "I was about to ask you the same thing."
What if something bad happened to her? I hope she's okay...

Later on, I run into Makoto. She looks at me and says, "Oh, there you are. I've been meaning to tell you that- hey, where's Mana? Don't you two normally walk together?" she says.
"She's not here. No one knows where she is." I reply. For a moment, Makoto looks worried, but then says, "Not much of a leader, then, is she?" while hiding her face. Then walks away.

-Ayumi's POV-

(For anyone wondering, Ayumi is Mana's Mom)

"Kentaro, dear, can we talk?" I say to my husband. He looks at me and says, "Hmm? Yeah, sure. What's up?" I sigh as I try to find the words. "I think something happened to Mana last night... She refused to go to school, and she hasn't come out of her room to even eat yet. I'm worried about her..." he nods in an understanding way. "Maybe she had a fight with a friend. Or maybe rejected by a crush."

"Well, what do we do about it?" I ask. "That, I don't know..." he replies.

-Mana's POV-

I didn't feel like doing anything. I eventually decided to take a nap.

-Third Person POV-

Regina missed talking to Mana on a daily basis. She wanted to figure out a way to talk to her. Then she thought, maybe through dreams she can. But how will she be able to tell when Mana is asleep? She'll try now, and if it doesn't work, she'll try at night.

Fortunately for her, it worked.

Mana was alone at a park, sitting on a bench, when Regina appeared in front of her. "R-regina? Is that really you?" she says, on the verge of tears. Regina smiles sadly as she replies, "Well, yes and no. Yes, it is actually me you're talking to, but you're dreaming. This is the only way I can truly talk to you." Mana shakes her head and says, "That's good enough for me!" and hugs her.

"Mana, I don't know when you might wake up, so I want to say this now. There is a way to break this spell Daddy put on me. You just need to somehow purify my heart. I don't know how, though..." Regina says. "I can find a way. I have to." Mana says back to her.

Regina nods and says, "Okay, well, if you're up to it, I'll be attacking next in this park. I'll try to make sure the others can't get to there." Mana nods and says, "Okay. I will." and then wakes up.

Mana woke up, remembering her dream, and goes downstairs. She eats really quickly before asking her mom,  "Hey, Mom? Can I go to the park?" Her mom smiles and says, of course. Just be  back before curfew, okay?" Mana nods and heads out to the park.

-Mana's POV-

I start heading to the park in my dreams and wait until Regina shows up. Like she said, she did. I transformed and took care of the monster, but now I needed her attention.

"Regina!" I yell out. She turns to me and says, "What do you want?!" Focus, Mana. It's the spell talking, not her. "I promise I won't attack you, so please, come down and talk to me for a second." she scoffs at that and says, "Yeah, right. You're still transformed, Cure Heart. You would hurt me if you got the chance to."

Just to prove my point, I say, "Fine." before detransforming and setting my phone away from my instant reach. "Now can we talk?" I ask. She glares at me but says, "Fine. What do you want?"
"Regina, please. This isn't you. I know you. You loved to spend time with me and the others." for only a second, her eyes flashed blue. But then, they turned back to red and she said, "You don't know me! You don't know anything about me!"

I smile softly before saying, "No, but I would like to. Regina, I love you." She squints at me and says, "What's that supposed to m-" but before she could finish, I kiss her.

-Regina's POV-

All the while Mana was talking to me, I was silently encouraging her to continue. Then she said she loved me, which both flustered my evil self and warmed my true self.
After saying that, Mana kisses me. That created enough purity in my heart to take back over. When she pulled away, I ask, "Mana? Did you really mean that? Truly?" she cries of happiness as she replies, "Regina! Yes, of course I did! I've loved you for so long now! I'm so happy you're back!" and hugs me. I hug her back and pick up her transformation item.

"I think this is yours." I say, giving it to her. "Also, Mana, will you go out with me?" I ask her. She nods. "Yes!" I head home with her, and from then on, she was happy.
