Chapter 10: Changed | Laff/Meme/Woolf
Laff opened his eyes slowly and groaned. Looking down, he could see that someone had wrapped a bandage around where Nadwe had stabbed him. After a couple ticks of staring, Laff carefully stood up, pulling on his shirt and vest, which had been left crumpled up next to him. He also summoned one of his loafs from his inventory.
Lifting the bottom of his gas mask, Laff ate the bread quickly. Then he picked a random direction and started walking, hoping it would lead further away from his friends.
'You're an idiot,' L4ff whispered in the back of Laff's mind. Laff shook his head, wishing the murderer's voice would just go away. A cackle rang in his ears. 'You can'ts escape me. I'll always be with you, wherever you go.'
'Hows 'bout hell? Should I just die?' Laff thought.
'You're not in control of that.'
Metal sped down Laff's arms and legs and he was quickly thrown back into the dark abyss. L4FF turned in the other direction, and Laff spotted someone. Someone who had many scales, and wore a purple hoodie and baggy black pants.
Dino's orange eyes burned into Laff's. Well, now it was L4FF's, but Laff could still see the furry-saur's fierce gaze. And then a small buzzing sound started up, and L4FF lifted his arm (which was now a plasma rifle), aiming at Dino.
"No!" Laff screamed, the sound echoing around him and the dark space he was stood in. He could see Dino's eyes widen as a blast from the firearm came toward him. Luckily, Dino had great reflexes, and dodged, turning and running. L4FF pursued, but after a couple ticks stopped.
"Not worth it," he said, before dropping Laff back into his body. Laff looked down at his hands and sighed in relief. He took a few steps back.
'Please jus' make it stop...'

Everyone was on high alert as they ran from the court house, other than a small bat that sat in Memegod's hood, glancing around tiredly. Nadwe hadn't had very much blood to drink in the last day, and he needed some before he ran out of energy and died. At least it didn't have to be Meme's this time. 'Only a little longer 'til sunset. He'll make it,' Meme thought.
They were going to Meme's base because it had more room for other people there. Meme also thought that the magic of his area might do more than the guns and tanks in Sock's if L4FF found them.
Soon, the gang reached the bridge to the magical area. Nadwe immediately hopped out of Memegod's hood, flapping crookedly in the wind towards where Woolf had had a very large sheep farm.
Once they got to the clearing in the middle of all the houses, Memegod did a small head count. Satisfied that everyone was there, he sighed and relaxed slightly, tiredly moving towards his house.
"So, would anyone like to explain what the heck happened?" Oof called. Memegod stopped in his tracks and looked back at the dice headed man. Oof had an irritated look on his face. "Why did we run? What was that place? Where's Laff?"
The last question set off a chain of pain, anger, and sorrow across everyone's faces. Oof blinked in confusion. "What?"
"Don't worry about it. I'll tell you in the morning, alright?" Memegod said irritably. Oof sighed, but nodded. Meme gave his friends a forced smile. "Goodnight, guys."
He started to walk back to his house once more, but Blaza called for him.
"Hey! Uhm, Meme?"
'What now?' Meme thought, frustrated. He looked back over his shoulder at Blaza, who stood next to a tired looking Socks.
"Yeah? What do you need?"
"Well uhm... A house to sleep in?" Blaza said, giving a nervous chuckle.
"That one is open, if Oof's gonna take his old house back," Memegod said, pointing to the house closest to his. Socks and Blaza nodded quietly, and began to walk toward it. Blaza yawned.
Meme turned again to go to his house, this time making it through the door and up the ladder before Nadwe flew through a hole in the roof, landing on Meme's bed's frame. Memegod sighed, but gave Nadwe a quizzical look, awaiting his question.
Nadwe tilted his head. "Am I bothering you?"
"Yes!" Meme shouted.
Nadwe shrank back, the fuzzy ears on the top of his head flicking downward. "S- sorry. Should I just go?"
Meme stared for a tick. "No, stay here... What's up?" he questioned quietly. Nadwe relaxed a little, and crawled closer to the edge of the bed.
"Uh... Well, we kind of have a graveyard of sheep next to Woolf's house since nobody was feeding them so they all kind of just..." Nadwe trailed off, but kept his gaze fixed on Meme. His little nose twitched lightly.
Memegod could tell he was hungry, and the fact that he hadn't just gone out and found another animal was a little concerning.
"You don't need my blood. Why don't you go hunt or something?" Meme said, taking a small step towards the ladder behind him. Nadwe blinked, then did a weird looking face palm into his wing.
"I kind of forgot I could do that now," he said with a small laugh. "Sorry! Goodnight!" he called, flying back out from where he'd come in.
Meme's worry quickly easily washed awaying into amusement as he gave a fond smile, laughing a bit as well. "Goodnight, you idiot," he said in a playful tone, even though he knew the child wouldn't hear it.
Laying down on his bed, Memegod sighed. It didn't take long for him to fall asleep, the stress from the day fading away as he did so.

Muffin was still asleep next to Woolf, so Woolf shook his shoulder, done waiting for his companion to wake up on his own. Muffin opened his eyes, and Woolf tapped lightly on his arm. See, the two of them had made this sort of morse code-like system, which involved a little bit of their own form of sign language as well. It was a way to communicate, and it worked surprisingly well.
'Get up,' Woolf tapped. Muffin shoved his hand away, so Woolf yanked his friend up from the floor, causing Muffin to stumble and fall into Woolf. Woolf caught him, and then started to drag Muffin along the dark floor.
'We will B stuck here forevr. U cant change it,' Muffin tapped. Woolf sighed. Sometimes the duo would abbreviate words so as not to take as long to say what needed to be said. 'There has to be a way out... There has to be...' he thought. Then he slammed into something. An invisible something.
Muffin took a step back. 'U ok? Wat happened?' he questioned. Woolfster shook his head, his nose twitching, then stuck his hand out. It connected with a wall that was invisible against its black surroundings.
Woolf's eyes widened, and he grabbed Muffin's wrist, leading the 14 year old's hand to the wall as well. Surprise shimmered in Muffin's monochrome eyes, and he started to walk along the area, disappearing behind the wall, and then reappearing on the other edge of it. It seemed that the wall only spanned about a meter or two.
Woolf tilted his head. 'What the heck?' he thought. Muffin clearly thought the same, because he tapped the exact words out onto Woolf's arm, pointing at where the wall stood. Woolf squinted, trying to think of a logical explanation, but nothing here really made sense, so why would this?
Woolf closed his eyes, frustrated, and when he opened them, he started to walk past the wall. Muffin grabbed his arm. 'Dont! Need to stay!'
Woolf stared down at him. 'Really, mister 'We can't leave and I'm so depressed, help me'? You think it's important now?' he thought. Instead of telling Muffin that, he just patted the child on the back and nodded, sitting down with his back against the wall.
Muffin sat next to him, and the two fell asleep once more. Sleeping was one of the only things that made time pass fast enough to end the constant suffering of being here, almost completely alone...

{CHAPTER NOTES}
Summary: Laff wakes up alone, but eventually finds Dino. L4FF decides to take over to attack Dino, then decides otherwise. Stress builds on top of Meme as his friends deem him, of all people, leader of the group. He ends up procrastinating because he's way too tired to deal with anything at the moment. Nadwe comes to ask for some of Meme's blood, having forgotten he could hunt after being stuck underground for so long. Woolf and Muffin run into a wall that's as black as the rest of Ghosted Nowhere, and— having developed a tap-and-sign language— decide they're going to stick around the wall. (Word Count: 1372)
[NEW NOTE]: I don't know why Past-Me decided they were British for a moment, but alright, then! Lets just pretend I haven't accidentally picked up saying 'innit', 'trousers', and 'zed' for Z. Also on par with Past-Me, I do not have much to say this time around.
(Old Note): Heyyyyy mate! So I don't have much to say about this chapter, other than it was a bit of a filler, but I think it's still important, so yeah. Anyways, take my chapter summary: Laff- Waking up to see that his friends had left the area, and L4FF attacks Dino. Laff is sad about it, even though Dino is a traitor (Y'all notice the 'Fire-arm' pun? Cause the gun is his hand... I'm not funny, am I?). Meme- While Memegod deals with all of his stress, his friends continue to pile more things onto his list of tasks. Eventually, he decides he's going to procrastinate like how he did on his "Minecraft 100 days, but I'm the avatar" video, and to get everything done tomorrow. Woolf- Furry and Edible find a wall in ghosted nowhere, and decide to stick around it. (Word Count: 1310)
