I was supposed to grow up just like any normal kid living in a normal world but there's nothing normal anymore. There is a whole other universe out there where everyone has powers or "magic". I know it's a lot to take in so, let us start from the very beginning... I was born, got taken home and was settled in my crib, it was not until I was only about 6 months old that I accidentally waved my finger and a glass broke!The glass vase set on the small, dark brown, wood table suddenly shattered into millions of pieces dropping down onto the floor. This meant that I was going to grow up with powers. The most important milestone in a babies life is when they first gain their powers. As a baby, my mom realized I was likely to have obtained my powers. Most of my family members had gained their powers, but she was still a little nervous about the slight chance of me turning out to be a "normal person".If you grow up without powers you are known to be at the bottom of every social class there is in the magic world.
There isn't an official class system, but the social rules of the world act as one. So skip to 4 months later and I could already speak like a normal adult. You're not supposed to get your powers as early as I did and that's when my parents suddenly realized that I was going to grow up with lots of power (yay me... .) Now I'm not saying growing up with powers isn't fun, it is but you have to be responsible and live up to become a great wizard or you'll end up being on the bottom of all the social classes. The whole world could collapse if you grow up evil..,so where there are many people doing whatever they please there needs to be some regulation or someone to keep everyone in order. That would be the queen or king.

The queen or king is a  person who is very responsible and has a lot of power. They're also the one who wins the annual magic competition.The annual competition is held in the greatest city in the world New York City. To be able to compete you must, number one be at least five years old to enter, number two you cannot enter if you have committed any crime and last but not least number three you have to pass a simple test to make sure you have your "full powers" before entering the competition.
So skip to when I was five and ready to enter the competition. The stadium is huge, oval shaped with high beige colored walls, with lights shining out into the sky and hundreds of rows with thousands of people cheering for you as you enter the stadium. I walked in and everyone was super excited to finally have a young person competing. The audience was roaring and clapping as loud as they could surrounding the stadium with noise as the competitors walked in.
As the competition started the announcers of the competition started speaking on the loudspeaker. Tyler said "Hello everybody we're Bill and Tyler hosting the annual magic competition and tonight we have some fierce competitors in the house. We have twenty-year-old Liam from Maryland. He has had his powers ever since he was just a little boy at ten years old. Now, Bill, we have got a new contender for this year's competition, it is the youngest contestant we've ever had compete, her name is Hope from Long Island and at only five years old she is in it to win it tonight. How do you feel about that Bill.". Bill said in a cheesy announcer's voice "Well I feel they are going to be the people to beat Tyler." Yes, I know it was very stupid and cheesy... but anyway, it was time for round one.
I entered the fighting circle and was ready to compete. "ROUND ONE CHANGE THE COLOR OF SEVEN MUSHROOMS IN RAINBOW ORDER." yelled the referee. Seven mushrooms quickly sprouted out of the ground one after another. The referee exclaimed "GET READY...SET....GOOO!" I quickly waved my finger and poof! The mushrooms started changing color in order starting with red." RED,ORANGE,YELLOW,GREEN,BLUE,INDIGO,AND PURPLE ." I quickly thought while pointing at the mushrooms. "HOPE FINISHES FIRST!" Screamed the referee "whistle." The referee blew his whistle and round one ended.

Time for round two, the animal round. In round two you have to call for an animal to come to you. After it shows up the other opponents animal and your animal fight until one animal pins down the other animal for three seconds. 

In the world of Magic, you can talk to animals and they are nice to you and won't you know.. Kill you.  "ROUND TWO" the referee shouted.

I got ready in the fighting circle. "Ok wizards call in your animals." I called my favorite animal friend, Lily the cheetah. Now Lily had a reputation in the animal world. She was known to be one of the most fastest and strongest cheetahs out of all the animals in the world. "Lily the cheetah" I yelled the words and they echoed throughout the stadium. You heard oohs and ahs from the audience because they knew the reputation Lily had. My opponent Liam looked at me with anger and fear of losing to a five year old. He yelled "Scarlet the lion". 

The crowd was shocked and started talking up a storm."Shhhh, quiet down please." The headmaster of magic and current king Mr.Yang said. Mr. Yang was the one who sees all. He can make someone else the queen or king of magic if they are acting irresponsibly. The crowd died down as the two animals faced each other head to head snarling and growling at each other. "Ok, now I want a good clean fight. Alright, animals and wizards GET READY SET GOO..." The referee said shouting into the audience. Lily immediately stood up on her hind legs and jumped on top of Scarlet. Scarlet fought back! She tackled Lily down but Lily quickly regained her strength and angrily pounded Scarlet down with all her energy and might that she had. Lily knocked Scarlet out and she was unconscious. "Three... Two... ONE..! Lilly and her wizard Hope just won round two." The hosts Tyler and Bill announced on the loud speaker. Scarlet was fine and quickly woke up and walked off the stage with disappointed Liam walking in front of her. I thought to myself that "I had a chance to win this thing, I've made it this far maybe I'll be able to beat the final round, the forever spell." The forever spell was kind of like a curse that only the person who has the power and is the most trustworthy can break. It is the hardest spell to defeat and is unbreakable unless you have the power to break it. The forever spell works by freezing people in a huge ice cube forever unless you can break open the ice and break the spell..or when Mr. Yang lets you out. Whoever can break free from the spell the fastest becomes the new queen or king of magic.

I was super nervous but excited for the forever spell. Every contestant that won the previous rounds were standing on the platform ready to get frozen. I stood there patiently waiting for the referee to give the head nod for Mr. Yang to freeze us. The referee nodded at Mr. Yang and he suddenly froze us in the "forever spell". The referee started to countdown to when we were allowed to start. He put three fingers up and started putting them down slowly three...two...one... GOOOOO.... on the sign to go I shouted in my head "ICE BREAK!" and wiggled my wand in the frozen ice. The ice began to crackle and then bam! The ice shattered into a million pieces and I was free from the ice in under a second. The crowd started to whisper and gasp in awe of what had just occurred. Mr. Yang got up, started clapping and soon the whole audience was screaming my name, and clapping as confetti shot down from the sky. The announcers were in total shock. Bill announced, "Wow that was the fastest time for the forever spell to be broken and she is the youngest person to ever complete this." Tyler said, "You're right Bill this is amazing, Hope will be the youngest person to ever become queen and I think everyone watching at home is in shock right now." I was shocked myself, I thought this was a dream."Me?.... I was gonna be queen?... tomorrow I am going to live in a palace that could have every luxury you could imagine, and I'm going to be royalty and famous " I thought this to myself as everyone was starting to settle down.

Mr. Yang stood up from his chair, held up a microphone and said, "This is an unimaginable event that just happened ,this girl will be the youngest and fastest person to ever break out of the ice of all time. She is the chosen one to become queen and will start her role as the queen tomorrow working in the palace.Now little girl come up here to the microphone and tell everybody that is watching what your name is and a little bit about yourself." I shyly started to walk up to Mr. Yang. I took the microphone and said, "Hi my name is Hope, I love animals and I am five years old." The audience cooed awe and Mr. Yang said privately to me, "Meet me at the palace at eight A.M. sharp. You will be able to teleport there. I will give you a tour of the palace." Mr. Yang then took the microphone for his passing down or congratulation speech. "Hello everybody, to see a five year old win the magic competition and become queen is one of the most brilliant, amazing ,and unexpected thing to ever happen to me in my life. Hope will be awarded her crown and her correlation starts at eight thirty A.M sharp and everyone is invited. She will create a fresh start to the magic world and will surely be trusted with this amount of power., !She is the one and only, the youngest person ever to break this spell..and.... her name is Hope !" The audience cheered after his speech and gave him and me, a standing ovation. I was excited, yet scared for a brand new start as the queen but ready as I"ll ever be.
