So if you don't know, there are two other spin off sod the magic academy series called magic academy recordkeeper and magic academy T.W.I.S.T.E.D. Truths, for the most part all three of these are stand alone works but the other two do hold a bit of importance. This work here relies on telling a lot of information in reverse, you meet a character and then learn about then learning about all the characters and then meeting them one by one. This way of storytelling is something that I developed in the work that this is a spin off from because a lot of the times, the people who were doing this route had already met most of the characters so they had a pretty general of who everyone was. Recordkeeper is also something that happens before black queen and so most people have that context which explains certain actions made by other characters. T.W.I.S.T.E.D. Truths is more a sequel/alternate universe type deal that takes place in the new world created at the end of the black queen but it provides a lot of the missing context on some of the students while also having some others play background roles that provide some more insight on them. Essentially the importance of the other two is that they build a lot of context for this story where as this story doesn't do anything for them so, if you have the time or you're just a bit confused, I would go check out those.
