"You what?!" Merlin exclaims obviously surprised by the news, "Merlin my mother sent me here because it's one of the only kingdoms that allows magic, but our village was attacked by raiders the day I was going to leave." I say summing up most of the story so I didn't make him  freak out or anything. "Why didn't you just tell me?" He asks calming himself, "because you don't understand what it's like." I say looking away from Merlin but he gently makes me look at him. "Watch" he says and I stare in disbelief as he says a small incantation making a flame from one of the candles dance in mid air. "Why are you so good to me?" I ask since we barley know each other but then I see his face go blank for a few moments(A/N Freya!sorry couldn't help myself.)then he returns from his trance. "I'm sorry, did I say something I shouldn't have?" I ask and he shakes his head, "No, you just remind be of someone I used to know." He says and I smile a little, "Melin, if you don't mind me asking, why were you so sad yesterday?" I ask and he looks out the window his expression changing and I feel horrible. "I'm sorry, I'm the worst I'm obviously upsetting you." I say frowning because I know that I shouldn't be asking him all these questions. "Lilith it's fine your just curious." He says not answering my question-not like I cared- but he made me feel a little better, and for the second time in the past two days I give him a hug. "Sorry, apparently I like giving people hugs." I say releasing him and after a moment we both get over the awkwardness and for some reason we just sit there. "Well I better get some rest."I say ignoring the butterflies in my stomach. "Well I need to go do some chores for Gaius so see you later." He says before standing up and leaving the room while I close my eyes and try to sleep.
