Sixteen Years Later

The kingdom of Laminda was almost in threads, but King Kallagan was only focused on one thing , and that was to find his son a wife.Prince William was a weird child who was only interested in reading instead of girls.King Kallagan had normally sent his wife,Queen Estra to talk to Prince William, but he would always shut his bedroom door and say he was reading.Well, King Kallagan was tired of it, and he was going to do something about it.
" William,  come to the the throne room at once !" King Kallagan shouted.
"Coming, father," Prince William replied as he set down the hardcover book he was currently reading and nervously walked down the spiral staircase, each step made of the kingdom's finest gold with velvet carpet draped over them. " This is not going to be good," Prince William thought to himself.
" Son, as you know, you are my only child, so you will one day rule Laminda when my time is over. That means you need to have a queen by your side.Today, I will be sending letters to every sixteen- year- old in the kingdom, asking them to come to the palace in two days to compete in a competition. The winner gets to be your wife," the king announced.
" What! I am far to young to get married! Mother, do you even agree with this?" Prince William replied, his hazel eyes widening in surprise.
" I do agree with your father. You will become king in a few years and all you are focused on is reading," Queen Estra stated.
" Now go find yourself something fancy to wear for the competition," King Kallagan instructed. Clenching his fists, Prince William walked back to his room.

King Kallagan and Queen Estra invite you to the royal palace to participate in a competition to become our son, Prince William's wife. The competition will take place on Saturday and the competition will be over one week.The participants are allowed to stay in the castle's guest bedrooms.

Crystal Sene's bright blue eyes widened as big as saucers while she read the letter she had received a few minutes before. People in Laminda were starving, but all King Kallagan cared about was finding his son a wife.
" Wow, Crystal, you could become royalty!" Mrs. Sene squealed.
" This is ridiculous, I do not want to become royalty.Laminda is in a horrible state!The king won't even do anything about it!No way am I going," Crystal retorted.
" Well, you are going and stop talking about the king like that. He is a wonderful man," Mrs. Sene declared.Crystal's body boiled with rage, but she did not bother to protest.She had an idea. She would get rid of Prince William at any cost.
