Ok so this is sort of like the Ashley Taylor unit review and by that I mean it's me reviewing a unit with limited resources and without seeing how the NA server adapts to her presence and this is even more of an extreme case as homura doesn't hit NA until the third.

Homura Akemi

Intro: the version of homura akemi that we all know and (mostly) love.
Pros:
•good attack stat (18 out of 20 five stars, higher than both kazumi and Ashley)
•surprisingly good defense (27 out of 78 five stars)
•triple blast deck
•Solid attack buff (40 percent) and good crit Chance (70 percent) on connect
•stun Chance on connect
•gives her self a 75 percent crit chance buff after magia usage for 2 turns
•Stun Chance on magia
•dark element means she's never at an offensive disadvantage
Cons:
•low health (69 out of 78 five stars)
•unreliable stun Chance on connect and magia
•masara has what is probably the best crit buff in the entire game and I consider even it unreliable at 85 percent so homura has it worse
•unremarkable connect that loses when compared directly to someone like yachiyo
Conclusion: homura is a solid blast girl with a good element but that's about it.  When it comes to the perfect five element team composition used in mirrors there are a lot of different dark type girls who are better picks depending on the team.  She does perform better than kanae yukino and, while her connect isn't great, it is better than kanae's.  If you're looking to use the stun on her magia, don't and just use mami tomoe in an accell team instead.  Solid pick for PvE and mirrors but probably not the best for either.  She does get a strengthening at some point down the line that, supposedly, makes her stronger than any of the other blast girls however I don't currently have access to the information on that details of that strengthening soooooo yeah. If you really want to push her damage to it's limit I would recommend giving her "I made friend!" As a memoria alongside something like "surrounded by white wings" and then supporting her with kazumi or tsuruno. Alternatively you could also give her memoria that increase her damage against units with status effects and pair her with Alina or other debuff girls.

Should you roll for Homura Akemi?: short answer; probably not, long answer; yes if you don't have a good dark type girl or your best dark type girl is kanae yukino.  Offensively homura is still outdone by Ashley despite having higher attack because Ashley has a better connect and 4 blasts discs and as a dark type she faces competition from kazumi and Ashley in blast teams, Kirika in stall teams, and Ren in mixed hyper offense teams. When she does receive her strengthening it will probably come with a Banner for her and maybe then she'll be more worth it but with Ashley Taylor existing and as a better dark type blast girl I just don't think there's a place for homura in the NA mirrors meta. In PvE it doesn't really matter who you bring as long as they're not like Akira or something. If you do decide to pull for Homura and you get her then she can definitely be slotted into a mirrors teams over yachiyo as she has a similar connect effect and higher attack stat but that would mean sacrificing a water unit, you can also replace your fire girl with her as, chances are, she doesn't fit in with the team anyway.
