Night Trip

Sighs escape from her mouth then stretches her back to eases the numbness.

Being an Empress has never been easy for the former Eight Princess of Kou Empire.

Kougyoku never wish to become one who would take the throne, and all she wanted is to become useful to her brothers.

The Empress yawns, and then look out the window, another sighs left her. No wonder she's so tired; another day past she didn't get a wink of sleep. She needed to finish this work for their company, and it took her two days and two nights!

Kougyoku rolls the document and put it on her drawer; she then stretches her whole body relieving it to soreness.

Yet despite the work is already finish the sleepiness doesn't visiting her at all!

She's wide awake! And since she don't have anything to do anymore she's getting bored now!

Thinking a night stroll would kill her system she decided to get out the room and walk in the garden where she stood, feeling the breeze on her expose skin.

The evening breeze always relaxing her system but too bad tonight it didn't work its magic. She sighs, the breeze only make her cold, and reminded her of other works she will do soon.

"I'm not really cut out for this." she mutter under her breathe.

The moonlight that hitting Kougyoku has darken or at least something rectangular covers it above.

"You alright there, Kougyoku-san?!" Her head shot up upon hearing the voice. The lad supposedly not here, especially at this time.

The boy commanded his turban to go low just enough to make him face to face with the empress who has wide eyes, she blinks several times to cleanse her orbs to make sure she really seeing the lad.

With grin on his face he greeted the young empress.

"You okay Kougyoku-san?" he asked again, since he ain't getting any reply from her.

"Uhm... what are you doing here, Aladdin?"

"I was just relaxing while taking a look of the Kou Empire when I see you. So... did something happen?"

"Uhmm? What! Nothing!"

Aladdin smiles gently on her, "Oh c'mon! I've know you better than Alibaba-kun!"

"Huh?" she huff then put her hands on her waist. "My dear boy, would you stop being so cocky!" Aladdin's eyes narrows at her with cheeky grin, as the turban slightly moving.

Kougyoku tight-lipped; she aren't sure if its alright to talk about it.

Before it is easy to talk things with Aladdin, but since the time he said those words: "You like me better than Alibaba-kun?" She suddenly felt awkward around him, and sometimes his image would flash inside her head; before she can easily brush it off, but lately it is getting more bothersome.

Kougyoku suddenly got pulled back into reality when the young magi held her wrist and pull her towards him.

Only inches away from each other, Kougyoku was stunt too much she couldn't able to react and before she could really do something blush appears to her face as the young lad grins wider.

"Want to fly?" he ask, but before she could reply Aladdin already pulls her down the turban that she didn't notice that its already lowered.

Without further ado the turban rose up, passing the buildings of the palace and finally reaching the sky.

"MOU!! Don't just pull me like that!" she pouted and wagging her hands that form into fist in the air.

Aladdin only laughs at her.

What's a good thing about him is he never mind her status, and would act as himself around her normally, which she's thankful.

Kougyoku is stunt to the beautiful lights coming from the houses and stores in her empire; to the people who happily chatting and to those walking at the roads.

"Beautiful, isn't it?" She hears Aladdin said "This is the Empire you rise up from the bottom, Empress Kougyoku." She look up at Aladdin and sees his sincere smile, this makes her smile as well.

"I..." Aladdin shift his attention to her "I always felt tired on the works I have; I always thinking that this is much better if it was Koumei-oniisama or Kouen-oniisama. During this peaceful times I have lead the Empire into ruins, losing its glory; I even blame Sinbad-san for changing the world like this and for using me. That I really not cut out for this. But thank you, you made me realise that at the very least I able to make my people happy. Ah! Its hard but worth it!"

"Really?"

She nodded contently.

"So, you want to fly more?"

Again she nodded, both smiles at each other and fly through the whole night together, above the Kou Empire.
